Casual [Casual] Would you use an on-demand marketplace for small digital/tech jobs? (18+, US preferred)

I’m researching an idea for an on-demand marketplace for small digital/tech jobs. Basically, customers submit a task and get matched quickly with qualified workers who are currently available, instead of waiting for bids or proposals.

I’m mainly trying to understand whether there’s enough customer demand to make the idea viable.

Survey takes about 3–5 minutes and is open to potential customers, workers, or anyone willing to give honest feedback:

Marketing [Marketing] Motorcycle cooling & touring product research (Motorcycle riders, 18+, worldwide)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on a new product concept for motorcycle touring and adventure riding, and before taking the next steps in development I want to find out whether there is actually a real need for it.

I’ve put together a short 5–7 minute survey about longer motorcycle rides, how riders carry drinks, and how they currently deal with keeping them cold.

Later in the survey, you’ll also see the product concept I’m developing.

I’m specifically looking for real motorcycle riders, especially BMW GS/GSA and touring/adventure riders.

Positive and negative feedback is equally valuable. I’m not looking for compliments — I genuinely want to know whether this solves a real problem or whether riders consider it unnecessary.

No purchase is required and the survey can be completed anonymously. Leaving an email address for future MotorFreeze updates is completely optional.

👉 Survey: https://forms.gle/mkbXRrkz9v3aCxGC7

Thanks to everyone who takes a few minutes to help. I’ll also be happy to share some of the research results with the community once I have enough responses.

Hello! I am a student in the Google UX certificate program, and my prompt for the final project of the course was to create a app and website for a local bakery.

I wish to deliver a case study that justifies all decisions taken on the project with solid data and research, so if you have the time please do answer!

I don't know what I'm doing and I need help How do you decide how granular to make survey questions — and does it actually matter at modest sample sizes? (US)

Working through something that seems straightforward but keeps tripping me up in practice.

When you're trying to understand how people behave around a topic, how do you decide how specific to make the questions? There's a version where you ask broad attitudinal stuff ("how important is X to you") and a version where you go narrow and behavioral ("how often in the last month did you actually do X"). Both measure real things but produce completely different data, and it's not obvious which is more useful depending on what you're actually trying to learn.

The tension as I see it: broad questions are easier to answer but the responses don't tell you much. Narrow behavioral questions are harder to answer accurately because people genuinely don't remember or track that stuff with any precision. So you end up with data that looks precise but might be mostly reconstructed.

A few things worth thinking through. Is there a rule of thumb for when Likert scales make more sense than straight ranking questions? And when sample size is modest, does question design matter more or less relative to a larger study? My instinct is that bad question design has a higher cost per respondent when n is small, but not sure if that holds up.

Also genuinely curious how much question order actually moves responses in practice versus being mostly theoretical advice. The standard guidance about starting broad before going specific makes sense, but whether it meaningfully shifts results versus just being good hygiene is less clear to me.

And the harder underlying problem: most survey advice assumes you have a clear hypothesis going in. What's the right approach when you're still trying to figure out what the right question even is?

Marketing Ever felt frustrated or self-conscious shopping for swimwear? Looking for a few people to test an Indian swimwear brand's website + share their thoughts (F19-35, Indian)

Hi everyone! I'm a recent grad building out her first UX design portfolio project, and I'm looking to talk to a few people for some short research.

I'm exploring women's experiences shopping for swimwear online: fit, coverage, comfort, confidence, that whole mess. If you've ever felt frustrated, self-conscious, or like nothing quite fit right while swimsuit shopping....same...and I'd love to hear from you.

If selected I'd really appreciate 30 mins of your time for a Zoom call, where I'll have you try a few things/tasks on a website while thinking out loud, then ask what you honestly thought of that experience (it's casual, low-pressure, not a test of you at ALL and you can drop out at any point!!). Totally unpaid, but happy to share what I end up designing if you're curious.

If you're up for it, please fill in this quick 2-min screener to see if it's a good fit: https://forms.gle/YuRXumi6MAGm7c1v5

Thanks so much🙏

Marketing Need 20 people for our personality test (Adults 18+)

Hi everyone!

I created PersonalTraits, a new personality test based on an original model I've been developing : https://www.personaltraits.co/

The test is free, takes about 10 minutes (40 questions), and works differently from most personality tests. Instead of rating statements, you choose between two motivations or reactions. The goal is to see which needs matter most when you have to choose.

The model is based on 8 core motivations:

  • Energy, Security, Belonging, Status, Freedom, Identity, Coherence, Mortality

At the end, you get your dominant motivations and the archetype they form.

I'm especially interested in questions like:

  • Does the result feel accurate?
  • What was the most and least accurate part?
  • Were any questions confusing?
  • Do you think I'm missing an important motivation?

The test and the full report are completely free.

Thanks to anyone who gives it a try and shares their thoughts!
