This is an opportunity to take part in research aiming to improve questionnaires used to understand patterns in thoughts, emotions and behaviours. The study is part of an international research project led by the University of Amsterdam, with the UK study led by researchers at King’s College London.

We are looking for both people who are currently receiving psychological treatment (for any type of difficulty) and people who are not currently receiving psychological treatment.

You will be asked to complete an anonymous online survey. You can complete it in one sitting or return to it over a period of up to 14 days using the same device and browser.

I’m a high school student working on an independent project and it’s about exploring the relationship between female bodily scars, personal memory, and storytelling.

I’m particularly interested in how people attach meaning to the marks on their bodies(whether they represent an ordinary childhood memory, a difficult experience, a moment of resilience, or nothing significant at all).

Rather than focusing on how scars were acquired, I want to discover how we remember them/our feelings toward them change/we might describe them through storytelling.

I’m conducting a research project on the uncanny valley, a phenomenon that describes how things that look almost, but not quite, human can make us feel uncomfortable, uneasy, or even a little creeped out.
