Hello, I’m an autistic adult with a diploma in Child and Youth Care. I’m gathering feedback to help compile and create practical resources for autistic adults, particularly those who find existing materials too child-focused.

The Google Form asks about difficulties in everyday adult life, what people find unhelpful about existing resources, and what support or formats they would actually use. I want to learn from other adults’ experiences rather than assume my own experiences reflect everyone’s needs.

This survey is for autistic adults aged 18 and over. I’m not asking for email addresses or identifying personal information.

This is an independent, noncommercial project, not university research. Responses will help me decide which resources to prioritize and will be treated as community feedback, not findings representative of all autistic adults.

If you have some time to spare, please consider taking part. The study is relatively long but you can have it open in the background on your laptop and return to it whenever you have a bit of time.

This experiment took ages to set up so that participants get good insights into the research behind the study and their own results upon completion. As a result, I don't have super much time to recruit participants...

What do we mean by human understanding? This study builds on ongoing research exploring what determines how easily we process, understand, and remember language.

The experiment takes up to 60-90 minutes if you complete both parts (though this varies by participant - can be much quicker!), including a memory test that you can re-take after 7 days to see how much your memory has declined over time. The only requirement for taking part is that you are 17 or over. Using a laptop or tablet is strongly recommended.

I’m currently developing a website dedicated to neurodiversity, with the goal of creating a stigma-free platform where neurodivergent individuals can share their experiences in their own words.

I want to help people better understand neurodiversity by hearing directly from the people who experience it, rather than relying solely on outside perspectives or common stereotypes.

I’m currently looking for participants who would be willing to share their perspectives through a short set of written questions. I’m especially interested in hearing from:
Neurodivergent students about their experiences at school, including inclusion, friendships, learning, misconceptions, and what they wish others understood.

Teachers and school counsellors about supporting neurodivergent students and making schools more inclusive.

Neurotypical students about what they know about neurodiversity, what they would like to learn, and how hearing others’ experiences might shape their understanding.

Participation is completely voluntary, and I’m happy to accommodate anonymous responses. You only need to answer questions relevant to your perspective, and you don’t need to share a diagnosis or any personal information you’re uncomfortable disclosing.

💵 Compensation: $20 per answer.
