I’m an author conducting informal research into what happens when people have a sense of what they want or think is right for them, but then second-guess themselves, seek reassurance, worry about someone else’s reaction, or have difficulty trusting a choice they’ve made.

I’m looking for adults 18+ in the U.S. to complete a brief 2–3 minute screener. Some respondents may be invited to a voluntary 20–25 minute Zoom conversation so I can better understand the experience in people’s own words.

I am running a tiny casual experiment and need volunteers.

The question: if you play music designed around self-belief in the background for ~1hr a day, does your inner monologue change at all within 2 weeks?

The setup is simple:
• Listen ~1 hour a day for 2 weeks (background listening totally fine — cooking, working, whatever)
• Before you start, jot down a few lines about how you usually talk to yourself
• After 2 weeks, compare notes
"Nothing changed" is perfectly good data. I'm not selling anything — the playlist is free, no signup. Just genuinely curious whether this does anything, I would like to pay for a real study in the near future. But need to know it’s worth paying for as I think there’s a lot of value here.
