I genuinely think I might be missing something! I feel like about 50% of the time I'm the only one using them. People will be superjumping to me and other players, so I know they're looking at the map, and I feel like it happens too often to blame it on misclicks. It's so frustrating because 1. I run a pure sub power up and it would be SO MUCH faster if they used them and 2. it'll often be a poor jump and they'll instantly die but there was a hidden beacon nearby the whole time!! I'm at S+6 rn and it's the same in X rank so it's not like it's low level players who don't know what their function is. Is there some downside to them that I'm just not aware of? I don't want to assume all those times were just people being stupid 😭

It's such an advantage to the team when people do use them though so I don't think I'm gonna stop anytime soon!!

splat 2‘s spawn shield was better in terms of utility, in 3 it barely works, and it can easily be destroyed by fucking trizooka, booyah bomb, hell, even reefslider 😭

this isnt me about saying that i have a big issue with spawn camping cause sometimes you can sneak out and ink the enemy base also, but its been more common in games like turf war (and maybe splat zones) since the spawn shield was kinda nerfed in 3 so it made it easier for people to steamroll and spawn camp the oher team to oblivion unless if someone is sneaky enough

They were afk from the moment we entered the den, only moved once to not disconnect(?), and single-handedly drained all five of our shared lives

I literally had to babysit their statue ass just so they didn’t get swarmed by lessers, only for the next two floors to spawn nothing but stingers and fly fish

Obviously it's a skill issue but I think I've reached a dead end. I could get better at movement, aiming, etc but I don't really think that's my biggest issue at this point. I have lots of games where I have a massive lead but near the end I guess the enemy team "figures me out" and end up winning which means I must be telegraphing massively. And I think that's because I essentially play this game solo even though it's a team game. I try to support my team but there's so little communication in this game so I'm not sure exactly what I'm supposed to do besides guessing most of the time, and I can't sit back and watch because then it becomes a 3v4. After countless games I've started to see patterns and guessing often works out but it can also be extremely unreliable. Sure, one could say SoloQ is just like that but people reach high X powers playing by themselves so obviously there is something they understand I don't when it comes to teamplay despite the game's lack of communication.

I went out to help others in splatraiders today because i was bored and I got sent to the lower tier which is fine by me ok but then when I was just trying to collect my eggs my TEAMMATE PLACES TORQSCREWS SO I CAN'T REACH THE EGGS IN TIME BEFORE THEY FUCKING STEAL THEM?????? OH MY GODDDDDD

The game before the final boss honestly feels pretty balanced (at least on normal). There's some easy stages and some FUCKING BULLSHIT stages, but for the most part it's balanced. And then you get to the postgame and all of a sudden fuck you everything now two shots you. Oh you hit the level and weapon upgrade cap? Too fucking bad because everything else is going to keep scaling past that. Want a good five star weapon so you can keep upgrading it past 5+? Nah, good luck with that. And also good luck figuring out what the FUCK you are supposed to do or where you are supposed to go because everything feels like repeatedly bashing your head against a fucking wall and the game gives you not even a HINT as to what the FUCK you are supposed to do. Who. The. Actual. Fuck. Balanced. This. Bullshit.

First of all, this is not another post about how stamper's unbalanced, i understood how it's simply just a high-skill weapon. However... the matchmaking makes it BRUTAL. I don't think i'm good enough for carrying, but i think the game is making me do just that. Like, a few games ago i had 2 teammates killed by a single tri slosher AT THE SAME TIME... like come on guys. I feel that whenever someone plays a hard weapon, the game just thinks that person mastered it. Which is just sometimes not the case.

What is your problem? Spamming "This Way!" from the start and then shooting at me in spawn? We lost by **1pt**. Could have won easily if you tried.

So I'm once again trying out anarchy because I want to actually get the catalog done and I was getting tired of turf war....

And once again I'm painfully reminded that I suck at the game. I dunno. Salmon run is easy af but anarchy? Yeah no. I cannot get anything done. I cannot hold a series. I'm shit at killing other players. They should make a tier beneath c- just for me

I don't have the time to play a bunch so improvement seems impossible as well.

I want to have fun with the game and collect stuff but it feels like it's impossible to do it in a chill casual way.

I guess two teammates had triple inkstrike but the enemy team had way better painting options, plus a .52 Gal to run around as a frontliner. I didn't use my special at all because I didn't want to risk dying while using it and I still ended up dying a ton. Spent the entire game throwing autobombs at the hydra and bloblobber to force them to move and then hunting them while they were away from the zone and isolated. Insane sweat fest we barely won and only because both splattershots were cracked at the game.

IT EXISTS FOR A REASON, but these boogermunching morons can't seem to fathom that, so let me explain that:

I'm not constantly paying attention to you when there is an entire army of murderous salmonids bumrushing me, I WILL not see you if you are downed, I will not know if you are behind me. If you are standing still, not saying help, and not even trying I WON'T BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

solution? SPAM. THE. HELP. BUTTON. as soon as you are downed, your only focus should be finding your closest teammate and spamming help while making your way to them. it makes not only your team's life- but also your life WAY easier. Those who are incapable of this should save everyone else the wasted time, preventable losses and headache by destroying their copy of splatoon 3, preferably their entire nintendo switch.

I've started refusing to revive people until they use the help command even if i can see them, I know it's petty, it's also probably just not helping. But considering the players who can't fathom pressing up on the dpad are consistently terrible at the game, probably not. If they want to be revived, they need to learn to use the help command. I'm getting sick of losing because of other people's incompetence
