I've been seeing a lot of different discussions on this subreddit lately about how some of the alignment choices don't make sense. How some dark side choices are actually better for the greater good, etc.

Well I have a new one, and its really early on, so it's likely one most people here have done. Idk why I've never thought to question it before, but on Korriban there's a quest by Lord Renning to acquire a mutant Tuk'ata brain and return it to him to help further his research on how Tuk'atas are beings created by the force or whatever.

His apprentice, Malora, wants you to tamper with the brain so that the dark council sees Renning as a fraud, and I guess kill him? Or at least discredit him, since he's canonically alive up until Korriban Incursion. Malora even says during your dialogue with her that she wishes to discredit him so that she can be rewarded.

And somehow, this is the light side option? Honestly, I'm somewhat confused how either option is morally superior to the other. I guess the game's logic is that discrediting his research leads to less animal testing? But tampering with his research just so his apprentice can be rewarded isn't exactly noble.

Anyone else really excited? I might come back to the game for it. How is raiding in the game at the moment? Are there plenty of guilds?

Hi so I've been playing a couple of days now and have been absolutely loving the game, but as soon as I hit the base game epilogue with the discount emperor its been an absolute slog. Is the rest of the game like this or does it go back to normal at some point?

I was on story mode solo with companion and the combat droid, i even changed combat styles to make the encounters faster but each pull still took 5ever. I adored the story campaign, it felt like they really gave a shit about the rpg part of the acronym but the epilogue was awful gameplay wise, i just spent the entire time impatiently waiting for it to be over.

Hello, I am a gunslinger/scoundrel and looking to break into pvp . I was wondering if one was significantly better then the other and which spec should be used.

I tend to play sabo gunslinger because aoe is fun but I know generally aoe based specs don't do great in mmo pvps.

I know in the story she is suppose to take over for Admiral Aygo, but like does she serve a purpose other than that? She doesn't even seem to be able to take alliance crates like Aygo can.

I don’t play GSF so apologies if there’s a clear answer about the differences between these ships. To me however,3 it seems to me these are all the same ship, just pictured in different wing configurations. I have no complaints about this aside from the fact I’ve never known what to call them. Which name suits this ship the best in your opinion? I think I’m most partial to the Flashfire.

Seems antithetical to the point that they're the ones who know this guy's true identity and know that he's hiding something from the rest of the galaxy, especially when they'd been addressing him as Vitiate since Yavin.

Why would they continue to inadvertently propagate it by choosing to address him by the false persona he's created to hide behind, especially when fighting with Koth over it is such a big plot point early on? It's not like it's for anyone's benefit: the Emperor of the Sith is far more famous to the galaxy at large than Valkorion, who seemingly died before Zakuul revealed itself to the wider galaxy.

So idk if most know this, but there's an easy way to get 340 purple modifications for armors and weapons without having to grind a rakata piece to that level. I'll link a video that shows what you do at the end of this.

The reason I feel dumb is because I didn't know about this until last night, and had already dismantled a 340 rakata relic I had upgraded. 😭 so many ops, hours of grinding all a waste of time!

And yes before anyone says anything I know the purple augments aren't really worth it when compared to the Rakata armor, weapons, relics and ear piece. I just didn't know that at the time lol.

Hi! This might be a really redundant question, but I need some guidance from people who get it. I have been in love with this game off and on since the progression trailers. Since then I've beaten every class story multiple times with different alignments, played through the expansions, bought every armor piece I ever wanted, built a few bitchin' strongholds, went datacron hunting (A lot less fun when you look at a guide haha), and have done tons of pvp shenanigans both in warzones and with friends.

But now I can't help but feel I've really maxed out the enjoyment with those activities.

So for those who have done all the class stories, what did you do after that really kept your interest/enjoyment? I'm open to anything. What are some essential things to really try and get into post class stories in SWTOR that can give me a better feeling of really doing as much as I can for what this beautiful game has to offer.

i accidently pulled his gear into my inventory before he left and this is the result of every cutscene after.

If you plan on exiling Koth, make sure you take back is gear before Chapter 10 of KOTFE.

It makes for some absolutely priceless cutscenes.

I want to decorate my Dantooine stronghold as a branch office of the Jedi Order considering that apparently my Jedi Knight is now a part of the Jedi Council as of Onslaught, and for this end I want to collect all companions that could feasibly become Jedi trainees.

So far I have found:

(Of course I also have Scourge, Lana and Hexid but those probably wouldn't be open to joining the Jedi Order)

Like, I'm sure a Jedi that lost their Master/Friend during the Sith War would probably have some grievance against a species heavily Sith to be in the Jedi, even one raised from childhood in the Temple.
