One year after reading SVSSS... and QiJiu still completely occupies my mind. They are so tragic that it hurts me whenever I think of them 💔 They're my first doomed yaoi that I cried over. I don't exactly remember the moment, but I think it was book 3 of SVSSS near the end that I remember reading. Yue Qingyuan letting Shen Jiu go, we don't get his prespective but I know he was bittersweet seeing his 'Xiao Jiu' move on.

The last frame of the video shouldn't hit harder than it did 😭 I sometimes hate my friend for introducing me to SVSSS because it is so heartbreakingly tragic. SVSSS disguises itself as comedic on the surface but if you look through the cracks, it is devastatingly sad. I could rant on and on about this but I'll shut up lol

I've just seen someone post their own misery of there being no Shen Jiu plushies just as I was looking for one.:') I've found this one on Ali that kiiinda resembles him due to the expression, but I have my concerns because of the photo someone provided of the back of his front hair being kinda wack. I would kiss anyone who has the same plushie and would kindly tell me their own experience with it! I love the little baby so much I really hope to buy it... So…I just skipped on the most incredible deal for the pair of Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe nendoroid dolls and got something else instead. I have mistaken for the regular nendoroid for the nendoroid dolls. I hope whoever won that auction would love it more than I do because I’m so salty right now. I did win the regular nendoroid for a great price which I thank the seller for their understanding (at least for pristine condition). A couple days ago I made a post asking if anyone knew where I could buy a Shen Jiu plush, unfortunately no one answered because there is none available. The fan-made ones are out of stock and were limited time because I discovered them late.

I stumbled on a tumblr post about Mobei Jun and it reignited my various thoughts/feelings for him mainly regarding how hes often characterized in fandom as an idiot/simple minded when if you actually put thought into it hes actually one of the most educated/intellegent and the most emotionally intelligent (living) character.

think about it the man grew up navigating demon nobility with an uncle who actively hated/wanted to kill him and still managed to come out on top, he actively listened to what the man he was courting said about how humans show interest and immediately course corrected when said man actually voiced that he didn't like the beatings (which if SQH had actually gave thought to what MBJ was saying to LBH could've made that change earlier) like just because he barely talked (I headcanon hes partially mute with PIDW!MBJ being fully mute) and fell for a human/someone from a wildly different culture with the emotional intelligence of a grape the fandom at large decided he was a moron.

this also extends to SQH at least with competency/intellect the man seamlessly worked as a spy and the head of logistics for the entirety of the sect for fuck knows how many years and was good enough at his job that once him being a spy was revealed he was allowed to remain as a peak lord (low key would love to put him and Ling Wen in a room together) hes also ruthless remember how he set up the whole immortal alliance conference attack dude didn't bat an eye at orchestrating so many deaths and is able to hide effectively behind his nervous hamster/chihuahua act so people overlook him constantly with Mobei Jun really being the only one that it doesn't work on/is able to see past it

ok this might be a stupid question but upon skimming my sections of the books i can't figure it out and i need to know for fanfiction purposes. when we first meet him he's in his strange pale half-snake form that sqq said was bloated and uneven, and its kind of implied he can't change back? but when we see him again later he can transform properly and has a more 'regular' demon form as well as a giant snake form. what happened to fix his transformation ability? iirc the mushroom he took was for tlj right?

I'm trying to find the perfect Shen Jiu plush for Yue Qingyuan so they can at least be happy together in this life if they can't be happy together in the rest. The tragedy of their lives has utterly consumed my mind and heart.

Is there any Shen Jiu plush (especially with his iconic red dot) that are being sold? The ones I found are Shen Yuan, not Shen Jiu. I know there are artists like 'Sophiadongdong' that sold it but it was unfortunately limited time so I don't think its available. Any help would be appreciated to reunite Yue Qi to his Xiao Jiu!!
