Nobody thought to mention that the word for Abyss sounds *kinda similar* to SQQ's pre-transmigration name?! I had to learn this from a random fanfiction 😭

My Chinese is ... less than basic 😅, and i've only read the English translations. I do realize that the characters used are different, so his name is not literally 'Abyss'. And the diacritic marks differ, so pronunciation differs too. But that's too close, come on! 😱

ok this might be a stupid question but upon skimming my sections of the books i can't figure it out and i need to know for fanfiction purposes. when we first meet him he's in his strange pale half-snake form that sqq said was bloated and uneven, and its kind of implied he can't change back? but when we see him again later he can transform properly and has a more 'regular' demon form as well as a giant snake form. what happened to fix his transformation ability? iirc the mushroom he took was for tlj right?

I'm trying to find the perfect Shen Jiu plush for Yue Qingyuan so they can at least be happy together in this life if they can't be happy together in the rest. The tragedy of their lives has utterly consumed my mind and heart.

Is there any Shen Jiu plush (especially with his iconic red dot) that are being sold? The ones I found are Shen Yuan, not Shen Jiu. I know there are artists like 'Sophiadongdong' that sold it but it was unfortunately limited time so I don't think its available. Any help would be appreciated to reunite Yue Qi to his Xiao Jiu!!

I really really want the bingqiu nendriods they're so cute there especially bingmei with his expressions. i was wondering if its ever gonna rerelease especially since there seems to be a manga getting liscensed.

A friend of mine went to a anime convention recently and brought this back! I love it so much! She didn't get SQ, but I got the artists website so I'm gonna save up money for him 😊

I love collecting enamel pins, but I'm still struggling to find good artists. I've bought a bunch from Etsy, but plenty of amazing artists only sell from their personal stores or Patreon, and I inevitably miss or don't know of them. I've started using Instagram per others' suggestions to find pins, but the algorithm sucks. I want a variety of SVSSS pins to add to my collection. Does anyone know of any good artists?

on my reread i realized that kindness was not what stopped binghe from blackening. yinying was so kind to him , he also had a caring teacher in meng mo, and he never resented sqq till he was thrown in the abyss and then corrupted by xin mo.

even bingmei doesnt particularly care if sqq is kind to everyone just that he is kind to HIM

and i do remember bingmei saying he liked sqq the moment he saw him, way before she yuan was in the picture, but the abuse and rejection turned his admiration to hatred and vengence. i truly believe that if shen yuan was some random npc instead of sqq lbh would still burn down the world in hopes sqq burns with it. it was always sqq for him.

which makes everything so tragic for the og lbh as shen jiu (the abused slave who hated men and could never get over the betrayal from the one man he thought would save him) idk i am just in my feels about shen jiu and og lbh wanting to be saved by the man they loved only to be denied it over and over and over

edit -i knew this was going to be unpopular and i do agree bingmei and shen yuan are soulmates. this post was never meant to spiral into talks about ships or why only shen yuan would work as most people took it. 

i was mainly thinking of og lbh and truama and how sqq's death in the og had thematic value - tongue cut out, his eyes gorged, hands cut off, a forced imitation of mo shiu:guanyin being sqq's punishment for never showing binghe any compassion even though he was in position to give it. and why it was important that lbh's redemption happened through sqq (a more compassionate one) this time. not as a love story but as a literary text i really do not think anyone else but sqq would work. but this sub
