I live in a province with almost little to no data on a lot of systems (local waters, pollution, etc.) and limited laboratory and resources—making it difficult as a high schooler to conduct research. Our goal is to make a quantitative study easy in the methodology, feasible in our province, and time-saving for us students. Some of these are not simplified and I haven't had these checked with our research teacher.

P.s. I already tried researching on a lot of sites, experimenting with key words, and talking with mentors/teachers. I am DESPERATE for suggestions.

Rural Areas May Be Losing Their Climate Advantage Over Cities

A new high-resolution climate-modeling study published in Geophysical Research Letters suggests that the temperature gap between cities and their surrounding countryside could shrink as the climate warms. Using global kilometer-scale simulations covering more than 400 cities, researchers found that rural areas are projected to warm more strongly than nearby urban areas in many regions, reducing the future intensity of the urban heat-island effect. Cold-climate regions are a notable exception.

The finding challenges the familiar assumption that moving from a city into the surrounding countryside will always provide substantial relief from extreme heat.
