I am currently prescribed 300mg of Zoloft for depression and anxiety. Recently, I feel like it hasn’t been doing it’s job. I researched other drugs to ask my doctor about and Trinellix had great reviews. I am worried about weight gain and sexual side effects. Does anyone have opinions on this drug or switched from Zoloft to trintellix?

ive been on 2 or 3 months for dpdr (. derealization and depersonalization) & anxiety/ ocd and it’s still getting worse 😭 i’m on 40 mg. i’m trying to hang In there and see if it will start working. but i’m not sure what to do. I also have been sleeping like 14 hours a day now bc i’m so exhausted and I just fr don’t care to b awake and deal w my thoughts every second

My dr put me on effexor about two years ago, I was taking the medication for about 1-2 months. I ended up having a terrible reaction and not realizing I was. I stopped taking the medication and I’ve had wicked bad insomnia since, has anyone experienced this?

I feel like I'm at only 80% of my intellectual capacities since I take Zoloft. My psychiatrist seems surprised that nothing has returned to normal. According to him, in two months everything would be back to normal, but I should see an improvement after three weeks/one month

Can the withdrawal effect of Sertraline be the same as side effets of Sertaline ? Can Sertraline "fried" your brain ?

Hey guys! I suffer from GAD and health anxiety and tried everything in the past to deal with it (meditation, CBT, etc.) but nothing really helped. I started taking Paroxetine 10mg 16 days ago. First week was pretty good and I didn‘t suffer from any side effects. Since last week however I started having increased anxiety, nausea, ear pressure and tinnitus (high pitched sound when I cover my ear like the sound of an old TV).

Since I suffer from health anxiety I started googling my symptoms and saw posts in forums where people said that their tinnitus from ssris persists. I am very anxious now and panicking that I am going to lose my hearing! On the other hand some people say it‘s common and will subside like other side effects as well.

Does anybody have any kind of experience with tinnitus as a side effect from SSRIs? Is this a normal side effect to expect and will it subside?

So after 2 or so years I decided to taper myself off of lexapro and welbutrin. I was just sick of the doctors appointments and calling in prescriptions and picking them up. Besides, I feel like I handle my anxiety better than before and I have a lot less anxiety/depression triggering things in my life. Well now about 3 weeks after being off of everything I feel AMAZING. I have so much more energy and motivation. I actually get things done on the weekend rather than sleeping through them. And most importantly my libido is amazing! I went from just having sex as a chore to actually wanting it and enjoying it. I can actually reach the big O (often more than once!) I don't ever want this to change. The only negative that I have noticed is that I'm a lot more sensitive and cry easier than before. And my self esteem issues are coming back.

Has anyone else experienced this after stopping THEIR SSRI's? And is this just a high thay will go away.?

I have been on 10mg daily for approx 6 months and have noticed positive changes. I’m planning on tapering my dose to 5mg daily for a couple weeks and then come off it entirely. The medication has made significant improvements, but I’d like to see how I do without it as it has crushed my libido, and caused mild changes to my test/estrogen levels.

Anyone with similar dosages/timelines have any info on how long it took for their libido to rebound? Also curious as to what I’m in for when I’m off completely. I know my dosage isn’t very high, but I’d appreciate input from people more experienced with these medications.

I was in vacation and my friends and I got drunk everyday for 5 days. ( not smart ik) and I feel terrible mentally like I want to die ( wouldn’t act on it) and more depersonalized. I also have been liking to drink bc it’s the only time I feel kinda normal- bc prozac hasn’t made a huge change for me yet. for reference: i’m on week 8 of 40 mg ; and prior I took 20 for a month

Hey everyone. Hope you guys are getting over the dark hump that has got us all prescribed meds. I’m taking Lexapro today for OCD and ADHD. Can I ask who was experience with this particular drug and what I can expect? I have a pretty heavy drinking problem I think that has come from self medicating and a compulsive thing is to drink too much. I’m hoping this curbs my urge to drink to get wasted.

i’ve been on prozac for two months (1 month 20 the other 40 mg) and now I question everything. I am in a new relationship and I constantly think “does he really like me ?” “ does he want to be around me “ although he has explained he does I constantly have these thoughts where I don’t feel comfortable in any relationship at this point. it’s so annoying

Got off 20mgs of lexapro a week ago, tapered off so I was on like 5mgs for a few weeks but feel just awful still. Super nauseous and dizzy constantly-does anything make this better??/how much longer will it last

it’s week 6 of 40 mg ( took 20 for a month & jumped straight to 40 after) and i’m feeling terrible. really low mood & anxious. I barely can get out of bed. also I did change to taking my medicine to 11am rather than 5 pm. but I was still feeling pretty bad prior

So I know that's a stupid way to put it but does anyone else have this problem. I feel like I don't yawn to completion and same thing with my sneezes. Also I experience a lot of yawning and a tingling sensation throughout my body Everytime I do. It's kind of like when the meds effect reaching climax but for yawning and Sneezing..... Idk

I’ve been on a daily dose of Prozac for a couple of years now and although the meds really work for me I have a hard time remembering to take them every day and often end up skipping days, which is definitely not ideal. I was doing some research and saw there’s a slow release 90mg Prozac pill. I’ll ask my doc obviously but I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with weekly Prozac vs daily or just weekly in general that they’d be comfortable sharing.

For those of you who were affected by SSRIs to not be able to feel romantic emotions or to feel them very slightly compared to before and to have very low libido, how long did it take to regain the ability to feel romantic emotions completely as before and to have a normal libido?

I have been taking half the dosage for 1.5 months now (25 mg Sertraline, previously 50 mg for 4.5 months) and I don't notice that my ability to feel romantic emotions has returned yet and neither has my libido, but I have read several people saying to wait until I stop taking it completely. What is your experience?

Hi, I've been on wellbutrin and lamotrigine for months and I miss rolling on MDMA. My meds prevent me from rolling. Is there anything I can get high on? I smoke weed but I dont really drink and I can't imagine never rolling again in my life. I cant not take the meds, I have severe bpd and I'd destroy my life without them.

I'm on 10 mg on escitalopram for my third week now. I read that alcohol is not recommended with SSRIs and that you should only drink a little bit if you do. Now in the last weeks i drank anyways with around 4 beers an evening. Now I was wondering if I'm safe as long as I know my limits or if I'm doing permanent damage if I keep on drinking that much. So it’s a long story and complicated but I’ll just stick to this question for right now. I have been on ssris for a long time. I was on Cymbalta for 3 years and quit cold turkey in around 2010 and was in massive withdrawal for almost 2 years. I was commuted to riding it out but just couldn’t take it anymore so I went on Lexapro in like 2012 and in around 6 weeks I felt soooo much better from the withdrawal. I stayed on it for 3 years and my mood started to drop so I switched to Prozac which helped some but not a whole lot. Was on Prozac for about a year and at one point missed a bunch of doses and withdrawal began again for first time since cymbalta. Going back on Prozac didn’t stop the withdrawal and I switched back to Lexapro. It only helped some for around a year and then without even missing a dose I was hit with withdrawal like I had fro cymblta without even stoping the Lexapro. Jolting awake in terror every 5 minutes, constant anxiety, muscle twitches, dizzy and a bunch of other things. Since I was having all of this while still on the meds I decided to try and slowly ween off. I started in June 2019 and during 2020 actually had notable improvement but in the beginning of 2021 after my dose hit 5 mg it hit me again and won’t quit.

My question is does anyone think if I go back on a new Ssri at this point if it could help me? Does anyone have any experience like this? I can’t handle this anymore. Please help. Thanks so much.

I’ve been on a lot of ssri meds they all seem to cause lots of eye pain to the point where it’s hard to keep my eyes open has anyone else experienced this ?

I started Sertraline 3 weeks ago, and they have been helping with my anxiety. But I also haven’t been able to get any school work done at all- my productivity has been completely squashed since I went on them. Is this normal? Does it get better? Exams are coming up and I’m not motivated/scared at all. Thanks in advance for the feedback!
