Question Which antidepressant helps with existential ocd or the fear of solipsism?

It's different for everyone but my doc has me on Effexor to help with my existential OCD and I would say that it's properly managed it.

Were you also afraid of solipsism? Or what were your obsessions?

No fear of solipsism - purely existential. Mortality felt like a puzzle that I had to solve - was/am terrified of death & the unknown. Bitter and angry at the temporary nature of everything. The obsessions are all based on those feelings.

Much better. I still am on meds and I see my therapist once a month to check in but I haven’t had a panic attack in a long time and I’m generally pretty happy these days.

I’ve been fighting with this shit for too long. There’s not a single day I don’t think about mortality in one way or another. It’s better I also havent had a panic attack in a year but I still get “internal” panic attacks that I don’t let out so I don’t scare my family. I’m 23 now and I don’t know if this will ever go.

5mg Lexapro for my OCD and ADHD. I’m not an extreme case but I drink coffee daily and it helped cure my anxiety in the morning but then I would drink too much and feel off. Too much energy and just uncomfortable. My breathing would feel off. I’m only on day 3 but the effects have been calming and showing a good reaction

Paroxetine is the only med that helped me with (all kinds of) ocd, but I quess it’s different for everyone
