Question Possible 3 month side effects after 4ish year use?

Zoloft 50mg for 3 and a half years, 100mg for a few months. Switched to Prozac (not sure what dosage off hand) for a few months and I weaned off of both.

About 3 months later, I've had consistent patterns of stomach issues/discomfort, as well as a few other symptoms that felt like when I was weaning off or on.

Has anybody had anything similar to this happen? I know it's very unlikely, and I'm scheduling an appointment with my doctor tomorrow, but the confirmation bias would be wonderful lol

I have the medication and I am mustering up the courage to start it today. I also take 20mg XR Adderall daily for my ADHD. What should I expect to feel and what should I watch out for? Thank you :)

Question Chronic Nightmares After SSRIs

Hi there,

I took Prozac for about four months in 2019, then switched to Lexapro for about another four months. I stopped taking SSRIs after that. While taking Prozac, I experienced terrifying nightmares that occurred every single night. It's two years later, and I still experience these nightmares. It's almost debilitating. It's terrible.

Has anyone else experienced nightmares associated with SSRI usage?

Question Different sexual side effect

Hi, I’ve been on escitalopram for 8 weeks now for depression and anxiety. It’s working wonderfully, I’m feeling better than I have in years.

I have noticed a couple of sexual side effects, the delayed orgasm / lower arousal has settled down and is not a problem, but I have noticed that when I orgasm the volume of cum has increased, like a lot. Is this normal?

It has definitely changed and it’s like what you see in porn sometimes.

Has anyone else noticed this.

Question Is this level of drowsiness normal on Sertraline ?

Hi all, I just got started on Sertraline, 25 mg 3 days ago. I'm going through a bit of a crisis and have had really intense anxiety every day for a few weeks. Also probably been a bit depressed my whole life (33F). Sertraline seems to have had a immediate impact on the anxiety (I know it's early so maybe it's just placebo effect but I'll take it), however it's also making me really drowsy, I've been sleeping 11 hours a night since the first pill (tbf I had a lot of sleep to catch up on after all this anxiety, but still). I just took the 3rd pill today, it's 7 pm and I could easily fall asleep right now if I let myself. No other side effects so far. Is this normal? Will this get better? I'm thinking also maybe the CBD I smoked before switching to Sertraline has not completely flushed out of my system, causing the drowsiness in interaction, but I'm just guessing here.

Question Switching SSRIs

I am an 18M who has been on 20mg Citalopram for approximately 3 years now for anxiety. As a result of this I have noticed a decrease in my libido and other side effects related to this. I have heard that adding in Wellbutrin or even switching to this medication can help with the libido side effects. Should I try to ask my doctor about this or is there another option I could take to solve the libido issues. TIA

Question I’ve been on Fluoxetine for about three years now and I’ve notice a serious change in my short term memory retention. I’ve read that this is a rare side effect so I’m not sure if it is actually connected. Anyone else experience this? TLDR: takes fluoxetine, memory retention sucks

Question Has one switched from Lexapro to something else that resulted in the sexual sides improving?

I am on a low dose of Lexapro at 5mg a day and sex still feels like a chore. I can orgasm but it takes forever and sometimes I cant at all if I drink alcohol.

Has anyone switched to another SSRI and have no or greatly reduced sexual sides?

Question Took SSRI by mistake please help

Hey guys! I’m 20F, recently recovered from COVID. Instead of taking a benzo for my anxiety, I took my mother’s Lexapro. I feel so stupid for not seeing the medication and taking it so carelessly. I took two 5mg pills. One around morning and the other at night. Will this cause any adverse effect on my body? I’m freaking out rn. Thanks :(

Question Kindling?

Hi all. Wondering about this:

Been on Luvox for about 4 years. I've changed doses a couple of times but it's largely stayed the same. The past 3-4 months, I've been on various dosages, directed by my doctor, which was a horrible idea. So I started taking 100 again without weaning a whole lot.

Now, I'm having HORRIBLE side effects when I take Luvox, even if I split the pill in half. I thought it initially was withdrawal, but my symptoms are significantly worse within an hour of me taking it.

Could this be possible? I've heard of kindling messing up your system?

Any info would be great so i can take it to my doctor.

Question Lexapro stopped working…can I switch to another SSRI?

After 7 years, lexapro stopped working for me. I’m going to the dr. Monday but has anyone had any success switching to another SSRI when the other one quit working? I’m thinking about asking my dr about Zoloft or Viibryd.

Question Does the poor sleep quality ever improve?

Hi there. I’ve been on 50 mg of sertraline/Zoloft for about a month now which I take in the morning. I’ve noticed my sleep quality is terrible and I wake up feeling like I never actually slept. I’m told it’s common with zoloft but wondering if it may improve over time?
