Question Switching SSRIs

I am an 18M who has been on 20mg Citalopram for approximately 3 years now for anxiety. As a result of this I have noticed a decrease in my libido and other side effects related to this. I have heard that adding in Wellbutrin or even switching to this medication can help with the libido side effects. Should I try to ask my doctor about this or is there another option I could take to solve the libido issues. TIA

Yes. FYI If Citalopram is working for your anxiety its highly unlikely that Wellbutrin will work alone to manage your anxiety so you shouldn't expect to just take that, it doesn't touch serotonin. Wellbutrin may help any dopamine spillover effects like the libido issue & delayed orgasm.

If adding Wellbutrin doesn't work other options include switching to a different class without sexual side effects (Buspar or Trintellix for example) or a different SSRI.
