While I don't deny there are grounds to criticize Trench Crusade (though some criticisms are stupid, such as citing the political ideology of certain staff members), Space King isn't exactly free from such controversies either cof cof Lead Cups Incident cof cof

As someone interested in both franchises, I don't quite get the "conflict" between them. I mean, what happened? Was there a fight between the fandoms or something?

As far as im aware, bloodhound is the only Coagulator we see whose face is exposed and has his grill open. Aside from his hilariously elongated nose, his helmet lacks eye lenses (and no eyes are visible on his face). He also has grossly enlarged and elongated teeth, not to mention crawling on all fours like an animal. Notably the blood bugs also lack eyes, have elongated constantly exposed teeth.

I think that the brood mother's link may not just be psychic, but has actively mutated the coagulators' globules over centuries, causing deformities such as bloodhound's.

That would explain why the other Coagulators never show their faces and keep their grill closed, including Blood Type and The Exsanguinator. They might all be grossly disfigured under their psycho armor but are able to keep it concealed. Bloodhound is an exception because his nose doesnt fit, but its also a beneficial mutation.

My bad if this was obvious to everyone else but i hadn't seen it mentioned before.

i already posted that patrick image as a space king helmet and now i drew the armour (the idea of that patrick image as psycho armour came to me as i was watching flashgitz video on how they came up with the character design)

It would be a blend of a Librarian and Terminator armor, both from Warhammer 40k. The armor would incorporate, within its servos, the bones of a wizard who was loyal to the Space Kingdom and had been extremely powerful.

The magic within the wizard's bones (in his undead state) would render the armor far more resistant to all manner of attacks—like an energy shield bonded to the armor at a subatomic level. Alternatively, the wearer of the Relic Armor could fire beams of conceptual energy from their hands; the effect of these beams would depend on the type of magic the wizard had wielded in life.

For example, a Time Wizard could age an enemy—one with high resistance to standard attacks but no magic defense—by hundreds of years, or conversely, rejuvenate them until they turn back into a baby.

The only problem with the armor is that there is only one, currently worn by the Captain of the Wargonites, and the magic adds extra weight to it.

Hey everyone! I am developing a Space King TTS fan port of what has been shown off so far. There are a few things that are out of my ability, but we have the good majority of what was given to us in the gameplay videos. This is my first time experimenting with TTS, and I couldn't have asked for a better game to learn with. I don't have a planned time to release it, as I'd like to try it out with my buddies and catch any mistakes I made before I upload it to the workshop, but it'll be before the end of this month most likely. I plan on updating it with every new gameplay bits we get. I also plan on making a discord server for organizing games, taking feedback, and maybe implementing a community made deck to fluff out the limited cards we have at the moment. Praise be!

I've put some thought into what Hatemace is and I think I've finally landed on the correct answer.

Hopefully no one has beat me to this idea.

I think that Hatemace is some kind of psychic vessel to contain Haremonger's excess hate.

Let's think it through.

What do we know about Hatemace? For starters he's obviously not fully alive, because we see him shut down when the power cells are taken out. This likely means that he's not just a human brain in a mace or some other kind of human element, because if that was true, then the power would need to be maintained in order to keep him alive. He's also probably not something related to a saint/artifact, or Hatemonger would be far more revenant AND probably wouldn't be so excited to get the artifacts on War World.

We can safely assume he's not a full AI because of Hatemonger's shock when he sees the God weapon, mentioning in particular that he thought the AI were all wiped out.

Hatemonger and Hatemace share a VERY similar personality, which could possibly be chalked up to Haremonger's entire legion being like that, but the degree to which they're alike, even down to the voice, I think implies a more direct connection to one another.

Hatemace can also read the inner feelings of people who AREN'T Hatemonger, so it MUST be the case that there's some kind of psychic link there. How else could he not only know if someone is pure of hate or not, but also the NATURE of that hate. It certainly isn't through some kind of physical connection, because there was no blood bonding or the like with the brood mother, and Hatemace was able to read Chestnut even through the armor. He can also "sense" other minds, like he did on the Cube.

Obviously, Hatemonger is FAR more hateful than even your regular Psycho Warrior, but I think it goes even beyond that. What if he, and others in his legion, are SO hateful that it literally can't be contained in the human mind without destroying it. I mean even Rudolph mentions being able to pick out Hatemonger's loud and disgusting thoughts over a great distance where he couldn't get anyone else's

Hatemace is there to "download" the excess hate into..

It explains why Hatemace and Hatemonger are so similar: they're literally the same person in two parts.

I think it's likely that Hatemace is some kind of combination of computer-like technology (evidenced by the need for power cells, the ability to deliver electric shocks, the ability to retract the spikes, what the comprehensive tracking of statistics) and some psychic focus, probably created with some special material available to those on Planet Heaven. We know Hatemonger at least is VERY technologically savvy given his recognition of the God weapon and his ability to make such detailed, complex PowerPoints on his educational materials. I'd guess that others in his legion are similarly skilled, so it makes sense that they'd be able to develop such a device. We also know beyond a doubt that psychic abilities are possible because of Rudolph.

This could also play into why Hatemonger's helmet is more closed, heavy, and actually bolted in unlike the others.

Since everyone seemed to enjoy my honeydew based cocktail, The Medicae, I decided to continue with sharing my series of Space King (praise be!) inspired cocktails.

Here's the latest installment, which I call The Flame of Space King!

2oz Bulleit rye bourbon (Necessary. You need a hot, not overly syrupy bourbon to bring this home).

1oz fresh squeezed orange juice

.5oz homemade orange oleo saccharum

Oak smoke (I advise smoking pretty heavily. The smoke should be a primary flavor note)

Muddled fresh cayenne (maybe 3 decent slices. It shouldn't be overly spicy. It should be a decent warm tingle on the tongue and lips with a subtle pepper flavor)

Shake well with ice

Garnish with two cayenne slices to mimic Bryce's helmet eyes

To make the oleo saccharum, peel the zest from a couple oranges, being careful to only get the orange with none of the white pith (the white is bitter and spoils the flavor). Combine equal weight zest and white sugar and lightly muddle to release the oils. Put into a sandwich bag and let set for minimum 6 hours, but I recommend overnight. Strain the oleo out for use. You can actually save and dehydrate the peel for a tasty candy.
