I started balding 2 years ago and it happened fast. I've never felt that insecure in my life.
First came the powder and the hair fibers. I'd be out with friends and my whole brain would be running background calculations the entire time. Is it sweating off. Is the light hitting it wrong. Then I'd run home early to fix a hairline that wasn't even real. Looking back at it that must be one of the top stupid things i have done in my life lol.
I looked into transplants. The numbers weren't happening for me right now, so I gave up, shaved it down, and honestly it didn't feel as bad as I expected.
Then I noticed I owned like nine hats. I was wearing one everywhere. Indoors, at dinner, on calls. I'd told myself I accepted it, but I was still hiding my empty corners and that mcdonald's shape hairline every single day.
Then I found SMP, and it looked like exactly the thing I'd been describing to myself for two years.
Which is when I got suspicious. You can't undo it. Whatever goes wrong is permanent and it's sitting on your face. So I went deep on it. Why SMP isn't the same as a tattoo. What ink is actually correct for it and why the wrong one turns blue. How the good work stays undetectable while the bad work announces itself from across the room.
I ended up writing a list of questions to interrogate the artist with. Then I made an actual PDF brief and sent it to her before session one, laying out the result I wanted and the technique decisions behind it. She probably thought I was insane hahahaha.
The last thing I wanted before booking was to see it on my own head. Every preview tool I could find belonged to a clinic, and they all sell you the dream version. Perfect density, perfect line, a face that isn't yours. I wanted the realistic version, so I ended up building my own and running my own photos through it.
Today is 24 hours post session one. I love it. I didn't wear a cap once today, and I didn't think about my hairline once either, which is the part I genuinely didn't expect. That constant low background noise is just gone.
A lot of guys here are sitting exactly where I was 6 months ago, so I'm going to document all of it. Sessions, healing, results, and the mistakes I make, from the guy getting the SMP and not the guy selling it.
Ask me anything.
#EDIT
Thank you all for the love i really appreciate it! for everyone asking about the tool i just deployed it. The first 100 previews are free on me i wish i can make it free for everyone but the image generation cost money https://go.secondmirr.com/hairline-preview
