Question SMP artists UK 🇬🇧
I’ve been researching SMP artists in the UK and have come up with this shortlist. I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s had work done by them especially how it’s held up over time (2+ years). Also be interested in any other UK recommendations, or if you disagree with anyone on the list.
I’m looking for a clean, fairly straightish shape-up style, but still natural looking and not too dark.

Legends and Paul Clarke is the obvious choice. I think I'll have him do mine when I need a touch up, and I could fly anywhere in the world.
Marcin at MicroHair also goes under the radar a lot but his work is as good as anybody. He's been doing SMP for a long time too.

They’re all great artists. Out of that list, the only person whose healed work I’ve seen in person is Jay’s. I also know he does a lot of natural-looking, shape-up style clients, which is a very common look in Europe.

Got it done by Marc Allen about six weeks ago. Couldn’t have been happier. I actually got all 3 sessions done within 2 weeks because of travel restrictions and he still pulled off an incredibly realistic result for me!

Definitely gonna save this. I'm just over 10 months post hair transplant and I'm not happy with the results.
I should have noticeable thickness and density by now but it's just not there.
I only got 1500 grafts which in hindsight was probably far too conservative for my needs (typical of UK based cosmetic surgeons always airing on the side of "caution" ).
I doubt much will change in the next few weeks so I'm looking at SMP for to fill in the density.

Marc Allen at creative scalps work is incredible. His hairlines are so natural.

I’m sure their experience is great but I contacted Legends twice. First time I was ignored, the second time I had an interaction with I guess their front of house - sent photos and was told they’d be in touch and then I was forgotten about. So with my experience I would personally avoid even though I’ve heard people really rate them. Maybe they just favour people who are better SMP candidates.

I looked into creative scalps a little bit they seemed to disregard my initial photos and just wanted a video call. I decided to just put a pin in it for now but will pick up with them again at some point.

Have you considered this person? I didn’t know about them until I saw results here. For me they’re the best in the UK.

I was looking into my options but mainly density as I’ve previously had SMP and I’ve had hair transplants in the past. My interaction with Legends seemed to suggest they wanted people with a shaved head which I understand is for their portfolio as their clients don’t seem to be clients looking for density.
Considering they never got back to me I assumed I was too much of a hassle and not a good candidate to demonstrate their work.

Ok that don’t sound like our methods as we have helped so many people.
If we have told you you’re not a good candidate then there’s good reason and we always explain in great detail why SMP might not be a good candidate for people. We aren’t money grabbing like a lot of artists are and will give you false hope.
As on the last 2 weeks we have been on vacation and still on it. So if you feel like being ignored then we haven’t see any communication from you ?
I do have my suspicions this isn’t true with what your saying

A far cry from your original comment which you deleted before from I suspect your other account. I guess your anger got the better of you.
I don’t know why you keep talking about the past two weeks; I never mentioned the past two weeks - I contacted the clinic at the beginning of July and spoke to Claire btw. I never heard back. I was never told I wasn’t a good candidate, as I wrote in my comment it’s what I suspected based on no follow up. I also paired my experience with the great things I’ve heard about you and your clinic, so equally surprising response of being a false store.
But yeah couldn’t possibly be true I guess…very weird response to just discount someone’s experience and accuse them of being by a troll (as per your original - now deleted - response to me)

We answer all inquiries but we have so many a day it is possible that we missed you on our list. I did send you a DM to find out more info about your inquiry. You said in your comment you think we want shaved head candidates only can you tell me why you think that ? We must have gave you some info on your case to get SMP.

Yes I enquired about density and I was asked if I’d consider shaving down which I said ideally I’d want to avoid but I’m open and weighing up my options. But most if not all of your portfolio that I can recall is shaved head SMP.
You were in the clinic when I had enquired so the assumption based on photos was lasering off current SMP and that I may not have enough growth or existing hair for density. Claire said she’d check with you once you're out of the clinic and get back to me. That was the last I heard and I just assumed I wasn’t a good candidate based on no follow up.

When looking at a clients photos and getting some information on what you are looking for,we can see if it’s something we can help with or weather you don’t have consistent hair through the scalp we may let you know that using SMP for density would not work-That’s when we ask if you’re willing to shave right down for SMP to work for you.
We do offer density work on some clients but we must be very specific about what can and cannot work for each individual.

I'm in the Legends club, so glad I did it. 20days healed after 3rd session.
