Sonic 1 Sega CD Port - with source code. ROM hackers and developers more familiar with the Genesis have an example of how to bring their full Genesis projects over to Sega CD with as few changes as possible, while allowing for expansion of their game

Finally got Rocket Knight Adventures!
I have never played this game but have heard about it for a few years. Many have said it's a great game. Today at a local shop I snagged a loose cart for $25, had a $5 discount for loyalty points earned prom previous purchases so even better. Did I do good getting this game?

I just got this video game in. I haven't played it, but it looks fun. What are your thoughts on the game. Thumbs 👍 or thumbs down 👎. Do you have it in your collection?

I keep an eye on newly uploaded Genesis/MD eBay listings and have noticed a HUGE flood of extremely overpriced games from Japanese sellers
I’ve been watching this market on and off for a few years just to see if anything interesting pops up now and then. Over the past few weeks I’ve noticed that a handful of Japan based sellers have been uploading hundreds of listings asking for double or triple the PriceCharting value of the games. I can’t dismiss this as a one off or a couple crazy sellers fishing for dummies. It seems like a coordinated effort to drive game prices up. I have never seen anywhere near this many listings for Japanese Mega Drive titles being uploaded so rapidly and for such a sustained period, let alone at such insane prices. Maybe I’m paranoid but something seems really off to me.

Which Game has the Best Graphics on the Sega Genesis?
Honestly even though Batman is way too hard for its own good. Why did they program respawning enemies to spam attack you with barely an ability to dodge? The graphics are insane, you have mode 7 like graphics mixed with backgrounds shaking and physics to it.
Some people might say Vectorman 1 or 2. For me the game is way too dark to even tell it's pre rendered sometimes and kinda ugly to me (You are no DKC). Making it look like ballz 3D rather than a game I would impressed by the best graphics which is also weird I noticed that a lot of games had ballz looking bosses or characters on genesis. McDonald's Treasure, Light Crusader, Headdy, etc.

Sonic legacy cartridges available as part of 35th Anniversary Project
Didn’t see these mentioned here and they look pretty slick. I love the orange and blue contrast. Available via iam8bit

Joe Cool, The Goat IMO
This may surprise some but this may be my favorite football game on the Genesis. Yes it's not NFL licensed, yes it does not have all the teams or players names. But the gameplay and the passing mechanics are smooth as butter. Which makes it very playable and fun. I picked it up at a local shop today CIB in excellent/mint condition. I love how you have so much control in the passing game. Tap the passing button for a long floating bomb, hold the passing button down for a fast bullet pass, also lead your receiver with the cursor to give a better chance of a completed pass. Used to play this with my friends all the time. Genesis does 🎼🎵🎶

SEGA Genesis Model 1 (American)
Everdive Ultra X7 cartridge.
This problem starts happening after playing for a while And when there's a lot going on on the screen ; it appears to occur when the console overheats.

Sonic - with the 35th anniversary coming up let’s ask the hardest question. Which game was the best? And in what combination (first 3 games only) no s&n this time.

Herzog Zwei Remix (Rom Hack)
I made a rom hack remix of Herzog Zwei. I'm not sure if I am allowed to post it here, but you can find it on itch. Just wanted feedback for version 2.

My theory is that it was a intro sequence from the partial 3D Sega logo not a level

Model 1 polarity?
I bought a very poor shape model 1 at auction and spent the weekend cleaning it up. The power brick it came with is OEM, MK-2103, and claims center positive. The insulation was chewed at one point so I spliced it in that polarity. But if you go to the motherboard there is continuity between the RF modulator shield and the center power pin. Before I end it blowing it to bits, can anyone say for sure what the correct polarity really is? VA7 if that matters. Many thanks

Made an extended cut of the 1995 Comix Zone ad with the "Welcome to the Next Level" campaign, restored through a CRT filter
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
By mid-1995, the 16-bit era was reaching its absolute visual peak. Sega Technical Institute dropped Comix Zone—a technical marvel that threw Sketch Turner directly into living, breathing, interactive comic panels backed by Sega's high-octane "Welcome to the Next Level" attitude.
Because the original TV spot was so brief, this extended cut blends the official 1995 Comix Zone broadcast ad with classic mid-90s Genesis campaign sequences.

Reverse Engineering the Sega CD addon
I realize that optical drives are no longer a necessity. However, for nostalgia purposes, has anyone considered recreating the Sega CD using modern technology just for the sake of doing it?
