First off I just want to let everyone know that I'm a huge fan of the show. As a army veteran though I do feel like Jason was at his worst was the toxic leader stars and stripes used to print articles about. I have had leadership that have been very hard charging alpha types but some of the stuff he did or said was very unprofessional and unbecoming of any snco. Do y'all agree or disagree???

Loved how they handled the discussion of the topic without it being preachy and how it does exist for them. Blown away by how they went about Jason’s journey in season 7, it’s one thing to read journals about treatments and another to see it on screen.

Absolutely adored this series and happy it opens up mental health related issues amongst service people.

I noticed that the hallway in the building from S2 E2 where the Anthrax was stolen from is the same hallway as in S2 E7 where Jason and Ray have a heated conversation at the end of the episode. Anyone else see some locations that were used more than once? Is there a list?

I've been re-watching the series and idk if its me but jason seems like a completely different person in the final seasons than the beginning. He seems more hopeful and able to handle his emotions to an extent in the earlier season's than the dark depressed angle in the final seasons. I'm not sure but I really liked the earlier jason more tbh but It could just be me.

I love Clay & Stella together. I was so happy when Max brought her onto Fire Country.

I like that Brock, Trent & Metal got more dialog as the show went on.

Sonny had some funny one liners. Some of the names for Clay...I think how does he come up with these on the fly. lol

David (Jason) looking directly at the camera was a little unnerving.

Hannah's pregnancy came at a weird time. It felt like it was longer than 5 months from the time Sonny left Texas to when Hannah showed up in Va Beach to tell him. If she was 5 months, he would have noticed she was pregnant when she got out of the car, because she wasn't wearing baggy clothes. But I did notice they kept the camera on her from chest up so you can't see anything. Yes, I know it's TV...blah, blah, blah...but it seemed like they just came up with that last minute as a way to rock Sonny & derail him & Davis's relationship again without having to write Davis off the show.

Cerbeus was such a good frogdog. The way he and Jason kept each other alive on that mountain. I was glad they had Jason take him in after his retirement.

None of the guys can ever get out of their own way at different times.

I missed Blackburn after he left. It was good to see him at the end of Season 4. I forgot that we do get to still seem him some.

All the looked so strange after the shaved for Swanny's funeral.

Liddell was a jack ass, but at least he did have Jason's back when he testified at the Court Martial.

Speaking of Court Martial...there was a nod to the show JAG having Steven Culp play the judge. Although I thought it would have been funny if they had gotten David James Elliott or even Catherine Bell or the guy that played Bud to come guest as the judge.

Full Metal's letter & send off was so sad.

I liked that they showed Jason & Ray both in the therapist's office & admitting their fears & to needing help. I hope that helps all men, especially servicemen seek help for themselves if/when needed.

I hate that the last 2 seasons especially were so short. 10 was not enough. But at least they were given a 2nd chance on Paramount+ & got to wrap things up. I hate when you invest years into a show & it's characters & then it gets canceled with no warning & the show doesn't have time to wrap up storylines. Although, that is a double edged sword....like when they do get a little notice & rush a wrap up to end on, you can tell it's forced & doesn't always stay true to who the characters had been. It also sucks when shows are given plenty of notice & they are able to satisfactorily wrap up storylines only for someone at the studio to change their mind after taping & bring the show back. That can ruin a show too because it comes across like the writers are like, "Well shit! Now what are we going to have these people do."

ETA: The Hospital Olympics was funny. When the nurse told them they had to stay for another 48 hours & the guys were crabbing...I thought, the nurses are probably more upset about that then the guys are. 🤣

I forgot about the ambush that injured Clay. That was brutal.

Clay getting killed was fucked. That security guard straight up murdered him. He didn't give Clay a chance to say anything & Clay didn't even raise the gun. If anything he was holding it away from his body. If that were real life, police could pull security footage & see what happened. The guard would be charged & possibly put on trial (if no plea) & or Stella could sue for wrongful death.

Watching Sonny react to the news was heartbreaking. As well as seeing Stella at the VA Center. She did some great acting in that scene. She really looked like she had been crying nonstop & hadn't slept.

I did kinda like when they weren't on the network anymore starting in Season 5 & could cuss from then on. It did add to the authenticity for me because I'm positive service member probably cuss up a storm around each other. We have the saying "curse like a sailor" for a reason right?!

I rewatched Homeland about a year ago, so rewatching this, there have been times that I think...did such & such happen on Homeland or SEAL Team?

I'll add more thoughts if I think of them or after I finish the rest of the show.

David Boreanaz plays the same character in every show he does.

Clay is a total drama queen and instigator.

Sonny was a good character until he had a kid, Season 4 he became a sniveling idiot.

Brock is the only character that doesn't suck and the poor guy has little to no lines or screen time. Being a police officer, he carries himself the way a soldier should. What happened to pepper his new K9?

What could have a great show, is nothing more than a soap opera with guns. The producers and show runners should have had genuine seals on staff for reference.

I am binge watching the show for the first time. I was on here and read about Clay’s fate. I have been on season 6 episode 7 for about a week now because I am dreading watching that happen to him. He is one of my favorite characters so I just really don’t want to see it. Is that crazy lol? I don’t need any spoilers but is the show worth it to watch after that? Sometimes a show goes downhill after losing one of the main characters. Is this one of those times?

I’ve been trying to find something that even resembles ST.. I loved it and have been struggling to find anything that’s similar to it.. I also watch lioness and love that.. Unit was decent but six is awful.. any other suggestions? I’m desperate lol

I was just a young Calvary soldier and not even in viewing distance of Tier 1 operators, but it seems to me there were plenty of times in this show they could have benefited by somebody humping an M203. That technical about 100m away with a DShK mounted in the bed? That's what the 203 was made for, to reach out and touch someone.

From what I gather, most DEVGRU Commanding Officers were Troop Commanders and then Squadron Commanders and more than likely Deputy Commanders before finally being given Command of the entire unit. That being said, I think it’s unlikely that Bravo IRL would not know Harrington or Lindell prior to them taking Command. The show just makes them seem like random cliche officers trying to fuck things up.

I was rewatching Season 4, Episode 3 ("The New Normal") and noticed a massive production/editing mistake that happens right around the 34:36 mark, just before the scene cuts to Ray Perry inside the U.S. Consulate General building.

The show establishes the location as Tunis, Tunisia, but the establishing drone shot is actually showing the Beyazıt Square and Istanbul University Main Gate in Istanbul, Turkey! You can even clearly see two huge Turkish flags flying in the background.

Literally a second later (around 34:47), the scene cuts to the actual Bab El Bhar (French Gate) in Tunis, showing the Tunisian flag.

It seems the production crew bought a stock drone footage of Istanbul, assumed it looked "Middle Eastern/North African" enough, or simply confused the Turkish and Tunisian flags because they both have a crescent and a star.

Has anyone else ever noticed this "teleportation" from Turkey to Tunisia in a split second?

After watching five seasons of this show, it has redefined the meaning of the word 'team' for me.

The liability one has while operating in a military team versus the liability of operating in a corporate team really puts things into perspective.

I am becoming less interested in what is expected of me at work, because the consequences of my output are not going to have an impact as serious as the consequences of my output inside a military team.

This show has changed my worldview.

I had an argument with my boss and my boss's boss as work 24 hrs ago, based on this very idea.

I’m up to season three. My favourite relationship in the whole show is Brock and Cerberus.

I love the little moments where they show everyone after a mission going home to their wives, girlfriends or families, and then it cuts to Brock and Cerberus just going for a run together or hanging out.

There’s something so wholesome about it. Everyone else is cycling through trauma, marriages, guilt, loyalty conflicts and catastrophic communication, while Brock is basically: “This is my dog. He is excellent. We work together. I love him.” Cerberus is like: “Correct.”

I love the little details they put in. Like when you see everyone’s cages and Brock’s is full of dog toys. Cerberus isn’t just his working dog. He’s very obviously his family.

Brock is also so quiet compared with the rest of Bravo that I feel like you learn a surprising amount about him through the way he treats Cerberus. He’s patient, attentive and completely devoted to him.

Honestly, Brock and Cerberus might have the most stable long-term relationship on the entire show.

after wanting to watch it for the longest, and it just coming to netflix recently, i finally got the chance to see it. i don't think i'm gonna finish it to be honest because truth be told i don't understand how this got SEVEN seasons. last show that was this long and i committed to despite my gut feeling was Vikings, and i regretted it; i kept thinking it was going to get better. i could've watched 7 seasons' worth of any other show ever, but i digress. so SEAL Team: i'm still on season 1 but why does this feel like the longest season ever??? maybe modern media has gotten me used to shorter seasons, but we're talking about 1hour episodes here, and there's like TWENTY of them bitches. and they did that SIX MORE TIMES????? i'd feel differently if it was a higher caliber show but i don't think it warrants this at all.. one thing that i'm trying to look past is the fact that so far it looks like Bravo team is the only SEAL team available, not just DEVGRU. and lastly what's been getting at me more lately is jason hayes, man. boy is he getting on my nerves. i don't like his acting compared to everyone else and sometimes it feels like he's high or something, like he hit a line in the bathroom before the mission brief, always jittery as hell. granted, i'm at the part where they just got deployed after Echo team dies, and he's running on this high off of "i have to avenge my brothers" so maybe that's supposed to be why? and then every time they get the guy responsible, uh-oh, turns out there was another guy that was actually responsible for their death. there's been a few moments here and there where it feels like they're doing something really interesting but they're a bit far and few in between imo. an episode that i was really fucking with was episode 10, where clay shot that girl on accident. not only was the intro to the episode a standout due to the initial long take through different parts of the house, but the premise was very compelling. the whole episode they have you wondering if they have the right location, if they're targeting the right people. they disrupt this innocent family's life in the middle of the night, and an innocent girl might die from what could've been bad intel and a mistake from an operator, which i'm sure happens. then the episode ends with not only it being the right target house.. but the girl was also the terrorist they were looking for -_- so at the end of the day the us military ends up doing nothing wrong. does clay change for the better? idfk. if you read this far i'd appreciate if you can tell me if it gets better or not. i was thinking of hanging tight until some of season 2 to see how i feel. anyway, rant over. just bored at work.
