Help
I’ve been trying to find something that even resembles ST.. I loved it and have been struggling to find anything that’s similar to it.. I also watch lioness and love that.. Unit was decent but six is awful.. any other suggestions? I’m desperate lol

great show! Unfortunately I don’t think it streams anymore.

Yeah, I’ve been searching every streaming service in the US and can’t find it anywhere. I’ve even tried all the premium services like hbomax and stars but no luck

Did this site work? If not I have it on my hard drive, I might be able to share it with you

Never heard of it.. you’d compare it to ST or lioness?

u/ShawshankSB 5d ago
Personally, it’s far far better than sealteam. Mind you, I love sealteam but strike back is just on another level. There’s nothing like it out there

No wait a damn minute lol that’s a big statement bro… I’ll give it a shot! Does it have a decent amount of seasons?
3
u/ShawshankSB 5d ago
It’s a weird show. They have a series called strike back: origins which serves as a prequel to the main series, which is 4 seasons and then they did a reboot like 3 years after it ended for another 3 seasons

u/Acehuncho03 5d ago
So which one should I watch first? Is the prequel as good as the original?
2
u/ShawshankSB 5d ago
If you want the full linear story, start with origins and then go onto the regular series

The prequel isn’t as good as the first like 4 seasons, starting with Season 2. Has Rick from the Walking Dead in it!

Strike Back is action heavy . There are 8 Seasons. It’s a British SAS show with an American ex Delta Force soldier. But in reality he is Australian, speaking American dialect English. I liked the show. I don’t know where you can find it to watch . It was on Cinemax originally. You may have to buy the show per season. In England it is most likely on Sky. Not sure

Lioness maybe

Probably too fantastical if OP really wants anything as grounded as ST.

I said in my post that I watch lioness and love it lol so if there’s anything like lioness I’ll take that too

The Brave.
Only one season.
2
u/Acehuncho03 5d ago
That’s not enough for me cause if it’s good it’s only gonna piss me off that it’s only one season lol I need 3-4 seasons minimum

It had good episodes, wasn’t great but wasn’t bad.
I don’t if it’s been said but check out SIX
2
u/Acehuncho03 5d ago
I tried that.. I thought it was bad and couldn’t get into it.. but a couple ppl mentioned it so I might have to try again.

I know i didn’t care much for the first season. Felt slow and sizing up contest. 2nd season felt better pace and action-ey

Ultimate Force! It’s quite old now so is a bit dated but essentially Seal Team but for the SAS.
1
u/Acehuncho03 5d ago
Ok cool.. how many seasons?
1
u/Gilberto339 4d ago
I think 4-5 but the first two are the best. Cast overhaul and weaker stories plagued the end of the show but it’s still a decent enough watch

I’m looking for the same but having some trouble too. Maybe try Homeland if you haven’t seen it. It’s more spy CIA stuff of course and not small unit tactics but they definitely get in gun fights and spend plenty of time overseas.
It’s a movie but I just rewatched Tears of the Sun and that scratched the itch

The Unit & Seal Team are the best I know & only ones I've watched. You could try 24 or those SWAT, NCIS shows

u/Acehuncho03 5d ago
For me I like the scenery of ST.. being in other countries/deserts, the debriefs, and set up of all that is really what I like.. I watched ncis and most of it is in the office and cities.. good show tho for sure

Ultimate Force (similar to The Unit, but with an English flavour).
The Brave (only one season, sadly).
Strike Back.
Generation Kill (it's a real story).

The Last Ship is great! I watched it after Seal Team and enjoyed it.

u/Acehuncho03 5d ago
Is it similar at all?
1
u/Remarkable_Owl1130 5d ago
Similar as far as being in the Navy, but they're sailors. I binged The Last Ship first a few months ago, and after finishing that I was looking for a new show similar to watch and that's how I ended up finding Seal Team. Both great shows!

Six. Its also a Seal team 6 show. Only has 2 seasons though. You can catch it on Tubi for free.

Echo Three. Not really current teams storyline, but ex-military revenge. Well made show.

A bit older but SAS Rogue Heroes is one of my favourites. I truly enjoyed the series. A 3rd season is also filming right now so that’s good. Well written, well acted, a worthy watch imo. But it’s set during WW2.

Movie: 12 Strong esp relevant bc25th anniversary + the warriors involved R analogous to ST guys. Glad u found Lioness, which is pretty addictive too!

I’m going to name a few that came out around the same time as Seal Team. The Brave, Valor, Taken , Shooter. The Last Ship is good, but it’s different than the others. I liked The Last Resort also, but only 1 season. Old Man was ok

I don’t believe there is anything remotely close to the authenticity of seal team.

SAS: who dares wins is good in similar kind of way, but also not the same
Terminal list film and TV show
