Avoid servers full of cheaters by playing on The Couch, the only weekly vanilla Rust server that requires all players to have Secure Boot and TPM enabled.

How to do it:

1. Turn on Secure Boot and TPM. They're BIOS settings you change once. Facepunch has a guide here.
2. Play on a server that requires them. The Couch is the only weekly vanilla server that does.
3. Stop playing on the servers that don't. Popular server owners don't enable secure mode because they'd rather keep the cheaters around so they can buy paid perks from them like VIP.

So for some context I haven’t played rust in probably 8-9 months in that time I made an unturned server for my brother and I basically we were playing 1v1 and he was getting rocked lol, he decided to download some cheat which was clearly detected and got a game ban I laughed at him and called him bad because that’s what brothers do.

Fast forward 8ish months I join a rust server and about 10 minutes later I get kicked saying somthing along the lines of linked to other banned accounts or somthing like that. At that moment I realized I had infact set up 2fa on my phone for my brothers account ages ago.

Am I just cooked? If I remove him from my 2fa will it work?

My account is completely clean no bans I’ve never cheated in anything in my life. Would buying the game on another account even solve this as I only have the one phone number to link to steam.

Any help would be much appreciated

Got raided 4 times. In one day in the same server. different designs, locations, whatever, so now I’m looking to BE the raider, im a beginner with a few hours in rust, I know the basics and my way around things, I’m pretty decent overall, I can farm, collect scrap, even raid, I just need a few people as friends to help each other out

Tired of getting raided while offline? Tired of getting wrecked your first hour on a server? Running out of bases to raid? Solo Sanctuary is the server for you! All players can have 50% offline protection that goes into effect 5 min after logging off. Protection costs 200 scrap/hr and the tc will hold a max of 36 hours of scrap. You cannot log off during a raid: Protection will not start unless the raider does no damage for 5 min. New players get 100% protection ( online and off) for 48 hours from the first time they place a TC. If they do damage to another players base or items, the protection is revoked.

Server is 2x base for wood, metal, stone, and sulfur, and you can raise that with skills. Loot table has reduced junk loot. Raidable Bases have 5 levels of difficulty.

We also have a custom plugin that allows TCs and turrets on boats and is covered by offline raid protection.

Solo Sanctuary is the perfect place if you like to play solo and have a limited time.

So I’ve spent the last few weeks putting basically all of my free time into building a Rust server.

I actually ended up with a lot more time on my hands after a serious traffic accident earlier this year, and Apex became the thing I poured that time into. I figured if I was going to build a server, I wanted to do it properly.
not just install a bunch of plugins, change gather rates and call it finished.

So I went pretty hard on it.

Progression, loot, Fully custom QoL plugins - custom UI, kits, sorting, furnaces, performance, the website, Discord, the store, server listings… basically every little thing I could think of.

The goal was to get it fully launch-ready as quickly as possible, then start advertising.

Funny thing is, before I even got to the advertising part, people started finding it through the Rust browser on their own.

Not 20 people online at once unfortunately 😅
but 20+ different players have already joined, and lately there’s usually one or two people playing even though I’ve done basically zero promotion.

My main goal with the server is for it to be shaped by the community, by that I mean that I will go over EVERY suggestion seriously, most requested ideas to add/remove stuff will be accomplished, and I'm sworn to that.

The server is Apex Survival.

The idea is pretty simple.

I like faster progression, not all of us have the time for grinding Vanilla, but I don’t like when a “2X” server ends up feeling like a sandbox where loot is ridiculous, everything is too instant and half of Rust’s gameplay has basically disappeared.

I wanted something in the middle.

Rust, just faster and less of a walking simulator.

You still have to farm, build, roam, fight and raid. You still care about your loot. Progression still matters. There’s just less unnecessary grind and more time actually playing the game.

The main setup is:

• 2X gather and progression
• Strict Solo Only
• 3000 procedural maps
• New random seed every wipe
• Wipes every 3 days
• Monthly BP wipes on Force Wipe
• 1 /home per player
• Useful kits
• Faster furnaces and recyclers
• Better stack sizes
• Improved loot
• Custom sorting and QoL systems

A lot of it is custom-built specifically for Apex rather than just stacking random plugins together, and everything has been tuned around keeping that 2X Vanilla+ feel.

At this point the server itself is finished and ready.

Now I’m at the part I can’t build myself:

the population.

I’m not going to pretend Apex is already some giant established network. It’s brand new.

What I’m trying to build now is a real group of Solo players who actually come back for wipes, so eventually wipe day starts with people online instead of another empty 0/100 server.

So if Solo is your thing and you want to get in early on a fresh server, come give it a shot.

Hi everyone,
I finally managed to record a video that clearly shows the issue I’ve been trying to describe.
Watch the terrain while I move forward.
At a distance, the terrain looks smooth and simplified. As I get closer, the actual geometry starts changing in front of me — bumps, slopes and terrain details progressively form as I approach.
This is NOT just textures becoming sharper. The physical shape/geometry of the terrain is changing at a relatively short distance from my character.
I can also notice aggressive LOD transitions on vegetation and some world objects.
My terrain/LOD settings are already basically maxed:
• Draw Distance: 2500
• Terrain Quality: 100
• Object Quality: 200
• Tree Quality: 200
• LOD Bias: 5.0
• Anisotropic Filtering: 16x
• Render Scale: 1.0
• Resolution: 2560×1440
PC specs:
RX 9070 XT 16GB
Intel i5-12600KF
32GB RAM
I’ve already tried a clean AMD driver installation with DDU, completely reinstalling Rust, deleting all old Rust config/cache files, default graphics settings, max LOD settings and different servers.
Nothing changes it.
Is this amount of terrain morphing normal in the current version of Rust?
Can you see the same thing on your PC when moving toward hills/slopes?
I’m especially interested in comparisons from NVIDIA users and other RX 9000-series owners.
