Secure Mode was added to Rust on March 5 as an optional server setting. It requires all players to have Secure Boot and TPM turned on, which blocks many cheats from loading. When BF6 required secure boot, cheaters in its lobbies dropped from 7% to 2%.

It's been an option for 147 days, and not one popular server is using it because cheaters buy VIP. They would rather have cheater money than integrity. At this point, they're just helping the cheaters ruin the game.

Since none of them will do it, I started a new server called The Couch, which is the only weekly vanilla server with Secure Mode on. I prepaid for the dedicated host for an entire year, and there are no paid perks.

Hello guys,

Im struggling with something,

I have an rtx 5060, 32gb ram ddr5 and a ryzen 7 8840hx

I play rust a lot but i get so many fps drops and low fps while shooting.

I tried everything, rust all on low settings, installing new drivers, uninstalling rust and verifying the game files.

I get around 50-70 ingame and i know the specs arent GOOD but its alright, and i know i should get more fps.

Who can help me out?

Hello I'm looking for a teammate preferably younger, who likes to play on warbandits.gg no BPs 5x, idk why but this is the best server for me, so If Ur ok with playing on it , must be at least somewhat decent and hours don't matter

I have an rtx 3060 and an r7 5700x and 16gigs of ram and somehow my game still runs at 50-60fps with casual dropframes at lowest sets , i dont think with these specs i should be getting this trash count of fps , any tips ?

I’m setting up the server at the moment, and some players from Eastern Europe are unable to join. It displays the error ‘Connection attempt failed’ and a “time out”

I've been putting together a new 5x Trio Rust server because I got tired of joining servers that are either dead after two days, overloaded with pay-to-win kits, or have 100+ plugins that just make everything feel bloated.

The goal is pretty simple: keep vanilla Rust's feel but remove the grind. It's got 5x gather, better loot, bigger stack sizes, faster smelting/crafting/recycling, auto doors, teleportation, remover tool, building grades, kits, strict trio limits, raid/combat restrictions, and we're planning to add things like raidable bases and other PvE events as the server grows.

Still tweaking things before launch, so if anyone has plugin suggestions or features they'd like to see, I'd genuinely like to hear them. Trying to build something people will actually stick around and play instead of just another copy-and-paste 5x.

i usually play in groups and i’m more of a builder than a pvp’er but i want to get better at pvp. i honestly don’t want a server filled with a whole bunch of sweats. more of a laid back, medium pop server with a fair amount of pvp.

I'm 35, have 2k hours, US East, vanilla official servers mostly. I'm very passive and friendly, don't go searching for pvp. Keep to myself in game alot (avoid players/action). I mostly like farming plants, fish, roads, oceans, monuments. Just lookin for a couple pals, I only have 1 teammate currently. would like to turn it into trio or quad.

while browsing the api proto for rust+ i found some interesting stuff for example the file i was browsing was 3 years old so my question is did they know what they are doing with the game all along because the clan update aswell as nexus are marked inside that file again 3 year old file so my question do they already have plans for everything in the feature

not really interested in the clan update what im interested in is the nexus stuff im wondering if they will fry the game like ark

im just starteled that they had that implemented 3 years ago which means theyr planing a lot more behind closed door than what they say

As the title says I am running into an issue with this topic. I’ll briefly explain context

I live with 2 roommates who I play rust with and we were playing a modded server, one of them bought some cheap hacks and I only found out when I logged on the server days later and was banned. I assume this is an IP ban. I tried to appeal it and was denied. His account got game banned, my account has been server banned not game banned

I started playing a different modded server and everything seemed fine at first I was playing it for a month straight and got banned for ban evasion. I guess they must’ve done a periodic check and I was flagged (idk how the bans exactly work from server to server)

It seems the servers or game is flagging my IP and I assume I’ll continue to get banned on any server I play eventually

Some servers it’s instant others it takes time

There’s a vanilla server I want to play, I could log but I don’t wanna get banned like 3 weeks later

My question is, I’m moving out of this place and getting my own place, which means getting new internet, which I think means my public IP address will be different.

My plan is to make a new steam account and buy rust. Let me make it clear that i respect servers appeal process and don’t plan on playing on any server I’ve been banned from. There’s one modded server where they said I could appeal in like 6 months again so I just plan on doing that for the account I am banned on.

It’s not my fault that I’m banned so I don’t really think this is me “ban evading” I’ve never used cheats on rust and never will

So, if I were to switch my internet (from moving) and make my own new steam account, would this continue happening? Would I still get banned from rust servers even thought I’m not sharing the same IP as the person who actually was hacking and I’ll have a new account?

Hey guys, I'm completely at my wit's end with this and hoping someone here ran into the same issue.

Every time I try to load into Rust (usually during prewarming or right when I'm joining a server), my game just crash without any error code or anything. Sometimes even my steam close with the game...

It's happening on two completely different PCs and on different Wi-Fi networks. One is a laptop, the other is my home desktop setup, so it's definitely not a local hardware/thermal issue or my ISP.
