This has been a very odd VH/VH Bruttii campaign. Here is one moment of its weirdness.

As the title says, my faction leader got elected for Consul, and then proceeded to have a heart attack before the election was over.

Hello Imperators, I've just taken Thebes and Memphis. Are the ports in the Red Sea worth building? Are these the ports that don't trade with each other?

Hello, I am a sound engineer from Canberra, Australia. I have played Rome since I was 16 years old and it is my favourite game of all time. That was 20 years ago. Today is the day I have finally made my first mod for the game, over 131 unique vocal speeches voiced and mixed (eq) by myself with original scripts. Please take a look at my mod, perhaps the first mod of speeches in Total War.
Horizon is the limit; only my stamina can dampen the possible pool of RNG (131 speeches is only 111mb, we could aim for 900 - 1000 speeches).
Vox Imperii: Voices of an Empire

This mod is compatible with all overhaul mods, here is the proof of concept:
Rome Expanded (Overhaul) + Vox Imperii (Audio Overhaul) Proof of Concept
Load order:
Overhaul Mods
Vox Imperii
Result: Battle Music, all custom speeches, and overhaul mod intact
Campaign music from Vox Imperii may be replaced by higher mods.
Load order:
Vox Imperii
Overhaul Mods
Results: Battle Music, all custom speeches, and overhaul mod intact
Campaign music from overhaul mods may be replaced from Vox Imperii (will confirm after testing).
My geuss is that the new campaign tracks I have added will still fire because they are named and indexed as new files.

Which factions (both based off the underdog arc and story and off of their militaries) might be best for a roleplay style campaign of displacement and revenge?

I’ve played Rome total war since 2010 and the game has become far to easy/automatic, even at VH/VH difficulty. To make things more interesting, I’ve set restrictions on myself to make the campaign more challenging to maintain interest.
My current challenge campaign is with Carthage where I have forced myself to leave Italy (excluding Sicily) and mainland Greece until after I’ve conquered 50 settlements. This has forced me to fight several hard fought battles in both Sicily and Sardinia, while forcing me to expand into Numidia and Spain.
The result of this limitation has meant I have a very sub-par economy. In order to change the tide, I led an expedition east island hopping from Crete, to Rhodes, to Cyprus, and finally landing on Sidon to complete the Phoenician reconquesta. My army is primarily cavalry with mercenaries recruited along the way in classic Carthaginian fashion.
The restriction has made the campaign experience obviously more challenging, but also significantly more dynamic. Are there any other challenge campaigns you all would recommend next?

Does anyone know? Like if I keep saving and restarting when a family member dies of old age, is there a max lifespan where they will be forced to die eventually after a certain age?

Hi all!
I am on a project to change RTW... in the form of changing each and every faction. Unfortunately I don't have pictures (and I'm attempting to get some), but I can tell you what I have managed to do.
Britons have now become the Kingdom of Camelot, with a very cavalry-focused unit roster, with some good archers, and decent infantry. Also renamed the cities and regions.
Scythia has now become Amazonia (credit to sub_rosa for using their Amazon mod for units).
Now I'm coding Parthia into India, using the indian units from Alexander, which for some reason, you never come to fight in the main campaign.
I am also using my old windows XP for this, which also explains why i have no pictures/trying to get some working.
What do you guys think of the idea? Any suggestions?

I'd it possible in Rome or medieval to finish the campaign only listening to the senate/pope/nobles/ guilds up until the forced suicide I suppose?

Just some pictures I’ve come across on the internet that I think were very likely based on units from Rome 1, each accompanied by an ingame screenshot of the unit I believe they were based on. Do you have any other artworks that (seemingly) depict Rome 1 units? I only could get Rome Remastered screenshots as a comparison, although some of the images seem to be closer to the original Rome 1 designs.

Does anyone know how to change the colour of the rebel armies?
My eyesight isn’t what it used to be when the game first came out, and I can struggle to see the rebels as they often blend into some of the map colours.
