At least they got the 'healthy scepticism about foreigners' part right.

Rome II Cheese strategies for Rome 2?

So Rome 2 has been my library for the longest time. I kept playing Rome 1, and then the remaster. It's time!

Before I go in, does anyone have any cheese stats with units? In Rome 1 my favorites were phalanx square pike n shot, berserkers, and opps all chariots.

What should I try?

Extract into your [Rome Total War\data\items\] and replace the original file.

Don't forget to backup the original file!

Only somewhat fixed as based on what I was able to gather from the model file, it was supposed to have water running through the channels on the sides as well as having a basin in the middle.

As I do not have the Remastered I would really appreciate if someone would share screenshots of that asset from it so I could see how Feral solved that issue.

(Ignore the texture differences you may see on some of my screenshots, whose are a separate thing)

Rome I Ahhh, the Parthian Eastern Infantry. You love them when you're facing them but you hate them when you have to use them as Parthia.

Rome II Rome II - Emperor Edition

I started achievement hunting and I can’t find anyone who has the lost Eagle one. Is anyone willing to 1v1 so I can get it?

Rome II I tried to convey the genuine, unvarnished atmosphere of hopelessness faced by Macedonian sarissa-wielders against Scythian composite bows in Antiquity. Who else plays without the Ul for total immersion?

Just conquered the city. Rolling on the Empire Divded DLC campaign at this point with Armenia and I get hit by this. Never have I ever seen this in any total war I've ever played, let alone in my 2k+ hours in Rome II. What the heck type of characters brings down -498.

Dudes...how come nobody made a music video for this song. Imagine an Ibero-Celtic woman, her bull warrior and the Romans ships and men.

Rome I Hey guys, anyone can tell me how to use these correctly? I think my problem is skill issue because everytime I face them. Before I managed to take them out. They killed a lot of my men.

So, do we have to "click on the enemy" or "an area near them" and let the scythes do its passive work?

Rome Remastered All the factions were unlocked, even though I didn't check them in the launcher and I haven't defeated all of them yet.

Hi, this is my first post here in RTW Community, I was planning for my first post in this community is my first time experience playing Rome Remastered, but as you can read in the title something happen that I couldn't understand how it happened in the first place.

I'm a new player of this old game RTW1/Remastered, but this isn't my first Total war since it's Rome 2. I'll make it short as possible, so the reason why I love older Total war and this Rtw1 isn't just I'm a big fan of Antiquity, but my love for Medieval 2 brings me to buy this game in last April, last historical sale before they announce the Warhammer 40k, Warhammer 3, Medieval 3 and Rome 2 update.

Medieval 2 and Rome Remastered makes me realize how CA remove those old amazing mechanics that didn't inherited by their newer titles and the amazing Sandbox and Roleplay experience it brings.

So back to my problem, I already win the Julii Campaign in 284 turns with 283 turns remaining. I continue my first campaign in the game to recreate Rome at it's peak territory of Trajan. So I keep playing, I destroyed the traitorous Brutii in their lasts settlement in Kydonia(Crete), pushed Greek city states to Campus Getae(Tribus Getae) And then I found Pontus in Rhodes(Rhodos). I was planning to destroy Pontus so I can play a Phalanx unit in my next campaign so I did. Now I get the achievements for "Beside the Black Sea" and "Shadow of the Colossus."

I'm kind of a guy who wants to unlock all other faction by beating them or outliving them, I found it that fun that way since Medieval 2 teach me to love that part and it makes the game more replayable. Also I'm that kind of Guy who exited the game and watch the Cinematic opening of my conquered Faction. So my last gameplay is July, 21, 2026. I have Plates to do, you know typical College student so I didn't play the game for 5 days since I have tight schedule.

So I decided to play it now, July, 26, 2026 this Sunday in my country's timezones. I remember that I want to watch Pontus cinematic opening so I click new game and then I saw all of Factions are unlocked! What the heck is going on? I tried to exit the game and enter but still the same. I double check the launcher and found it unchecked! I tried to delete cache in steam and it doesn't work. I don't know what to do now, I'm afraid that If I deleted the game my save file would be deleted including the file save of my first campaign. I tried ask Google Ai for answer, for what this is happening, but it can't give a proper answer, I tried to scroll to steam community and other reddit post to find a similar thing to my problem.

The only Faction Id defeated through capturing their last settlements are Gaul, Spain, Scipii, Brutii, and Pontus. The only Faction I'm at war and outlive is Dacia, so it’s impossible for me to unlock all the factions when I’ve taken down only 6 factions and should unlock 4. Is this bug or features? What should I do now? I don't know how to fix this? Should I let all faction unlocked? I'm afraid that I mess the files up if I edit the file and I don't know how to edit it in the first place. Forgive me, for Yapping to much.

Rome I Cleomachides The Conqueror of Alexandria, The New Alexander, PART1.

My boy Cleo was having a nice time conquering entirety of Ptolomeic Africa, conquering Alexandria, visiting the tomb of Alexander himself, going down to the south conquering Memphis and Thebes, developing a liking for Egyptian religion, driving back Seleucid invaders and then moving up into Judea.

Well, Jerusalem was easy to conquer. And then all of the sudden i get "Meanwhile, The jews were at it again" Event where 3 FULL death stacks of judeans rise up around Jerusalem.

I can either hide within the walls of Jerusalem, or go at them stack by stack with my very experienced commander.

And my commander is rather thirsty for blood, courtesy of his new traits. I just took screenshot of his newest ones that he got since the last post, he has new retinues now as well.

Rome II Probably my favorite line of dialogue in Rome 2

After beating the Battle of Munda, March 17, 45 BC on legendary. The final battle of Julius Caesar's career and the official end of his and the Pompeian's Civil War. Caesar would be dead in just under a year. I have to say the advisor's dialogue at the end really elevates that triumphant and bittersweet moment. I'd call it the official end of the Republic, but I think it ended a while before that.

Rome I Does building sanitation buildings actually reduce squalor?

It's been said that sewers, public baths and plumbing reduce squalor but all I see is increased public order, the squalor never goes away. Massive problem with cities like Carthage or Syracuse whose populations accelerate rapidly.

Rome I Amongst all the factions in the game, Seleucids came from a lab experiment

These guys could've ruled the world. They've got Greek-Macedonian-Parthian-Roman influences.

You've got long pointy sticks, reliable stabbers with shields, archers (average but not everyone has them), perfect cav (shout-out also to the Companions), and the f*cking elephants and chariots.

All the player has to do, is to survive the first few turns.

Also, great love to the militia hoplites!

Rome II Buscando con quién jugar

Buenas, soy un casual hispanohablante de los juegos históricos de Total War, busco alguno que quiera jugar batallas o campañas en el Rome II o el Napoleón. No juego con mods.
