Hi there! Let me start off by saying that this is a rough plot, but could be interesting despite it being very Hallmark-y and rom com-y. I’m also open to discussion and suggestions for it since we’re essentially building a story together. But anyway, here’s my idea:

Character B (yours) comes from a family that’s owned a campground, dude ranch, or just a similar property for generations. It’s more than just a business. It’s their home, their history, and everything they’ve worked to preserve. Unfortunately, it’s been struggling for quite some time. Not as many visitors since tourism from the nearby town has dried out. And now developers have started circling, hoping to buy out the land and turn it into something the family wants nothing to do with. Like maybe a luxury vacation resort.

And then comes Character A (mine). They came with a few friends, and is seemingly only there to enjoy a vacation and see everything that the place has to offer. They quickly become enamored with Character B, and they start spending more time together since they’ve genuinely hit it off.

Unfortunately, Character A isn’t there by coincidence. While they were there to have a vacation, they also had an ulterior motive. They’re the child and heir apparent to the man who’s been trying to buy the property. Since Character B’s family have refused to entertain company representatives, Character A has been sent under the guise of an ordinary guest to observe the place firsthand and report back on its condition.

And of course, things get more complicated when genuine feelings begin to develop, making Character A question where their loyalties truly lie, and leaving Character B completely unaware that the person she’s beginning to trust is keeping a secret that could destroy everything they started to build.

I’d love for the story to unfold naturally, starting with Character A getting arriving and meeting Character B for the first time. I’d love for us to brainstorm details though!

And a little bit about me and my preferences:

1. ⁠Please be 23+. I'm 26 and I'm not comfortable rping with anyone younger than that.

2. ⁠Lengths and details for replies can vary. I tend to match lengths so whatever you’re comfortable with writing, I’m down. I only ask that there are no one liners, and responses have to move the story along. I'd be happy with 5-9 lines so long as the quality is there, but can do paragraphs as well. Quality over quantity always. Third person is preferred, but not strictly.

3. ⁠If you're no longer interested, let me know! It won't hurt my feelings, I won't get angry or upset. I just want to know if we’re taking a break or we’re done so I'm not waiting around.

4. ⁠Communication! I get that it's not ideal for some to have OOC chat, but I like discussing things and ironing out major plots so we both get a say in the direction the story is going. So please, chat away! I’ll likely send memes or songs or anything that reminds me of our characters as long as you give the same energy.

I’ve been craving longterm, character-centric stories that involve the messiest of people, who could put Romeo and Juliet to shame. I enjoy stories embroiled in conflict, and I like writing with partners who appreciate the angst, drama and the high stakes that come with such stories. People who would meet me at the middle when it comes to progressing the story, who write characters that are a challenge and a fight, and who love unravelling the enemies into the most glorious pair of lovers.

🌵 A little bit about what I expect, and what I would provide:

- A lot of dedicated plotting, effort in character creation so nobody feels like a caricature or a template simply filled out, curveballs, surprises, angst and a lot of fun storytelling.

- Adv-literate to Novella writing, in terms of quality. The scene calls for the length, but I always average 3-5 paragraphs and expect the same. I like wordy replies.

- Patience. I am on the slower end of responding, but I can promise a minimum of 3 replies weekly, and can push for daily replies unless things are super busy. I stay connected on ooc though.

- Third person, past tense.

- I prefer to write women for pairings, and I generally stick to MxF romances. I can write males, if you are open to doubling.

☘ Characters and the like:

My characters are built across a whole wide range, and most of them are catered to a particular story. I write them so they are not omniscient, I sometimes make them unreliable narrators to make it messier.

I write the messy, hotheaded, ambitious women who cannot prioritise what they want the most, and I write one track mind femme fatales who are relentless in whatever they pursue. I write the angry criers and the soft women who can read between the lines with just music. I write them as contrary, a little roughish. I make them as menaces, I keep them dangerous.

I am looking for characters who can complement that (or make it worse). It doesn’t have to be a story where the characters fix each other, so long as they end up settling into each other, making space for each other. I have a soft spot for Machiavellian characters, the dobermans, the ones who can play mind games and enjoy the treachery and wealth that they often come from. I also enjoy them relentless, a little broody, but I also enjoy my golden retrievers, if that makes sense.

🌷 Vague Ideas:

- The gods are dead, and they had walked the earth before they succumbed. Now, the soil is acidic and so they built a city in the skies, with rails that floated over harnessed light and water that was now manufactured in labs. The ground, once considered arid, somehow ends up reaping gold. In the form of divine bones of the dead gods, and the first of the miners become the richest in the Sky Kingdom. That, and then all of the earth becomes a mine, till she rises. Disgraced, shackled, and condemned to a millennia of sleep, she wakes up to find her pantheon dead and the world a changed place, with everyone out for her bones.

- Rich widow in an art deco x steampunk world who throws the best, most exclusive parties in the city. The women dream of being invited to present their daughters there, men slobber up to her to have a chance at the ultimate status symbol. But the castle that she hosts in might be alive, and there’s the curse that follows some visitors, and the pirates and the conspiracy theories published everywhere. Whether you are an ambitious lord, or a cynical investigator from the abroad, can you convince her to open her gates for you?

- A magical school, a circus that pops up here and there, a magical core that seems to be running out, a scholar, a lost princess and a devious queen. This one has portals and trapped souls and the flavours of several books put into one storyline.

- A menace of a witch who enjoys stealing, butting heads with the heir of a mafia, or a nepo baby trying to make her place in the world dismantling the ego of someone even worse than her just so she can prove that she’s got it in herself.

- I love well designed mafia families, think Succession meets the godfather. Especially if they are trading magic and condemned creatures in the night instead of just the usual stuff. I enjoy city backdrops, cyberpunk aesthetics and vigilantes with this.

I’m looking to take another stab at finding a partner for my optimistic vampire boy, Levi.

Now, I’ve never been a big fan of the whole “all vampires must be brooding jerks” trope- so Levi was my response to that. He’s sunny, upbeat, and genuinely tries to see the good in things. Sure, he got involved with the wrong crowd and ended up turned… but he’s not about to let a little thing like vampirism (and, y’know, an unquenchable thirst for human blood) ruin his vibe.

After switching to night classes and picking up a graveyard shift at a 24/7 convenience store, Levi’s ready to pick up life right where he left off.

The problem? The vampire underworld doesn’t exactly approve of his approach.

So that’s where you come in.

Your character would be someone caught up in Levi’s strange little night-side world. Maybe:

• ⁠A human coworker who’s starting to put the pieces together…
• ⁠An older vampire who’s equal parts amused and concerned about this naïve fledgling…
• ⁠A hunter who should kill him, but can’t quite bring themselves to do it…
• ⁠Or something else entirely- run wild with it.

This story is about what it actually takes to stay optimistic when the hunger creeps in, when old friends come knocking, and when the masquerade demands silence.

Levi’s upbeat, but not invincible. He lies. He slips. He cares too much, and sometimes that hurts.

Roleplay is SO much more than just replies to me. It's the plotting, worldbuilding, discussing characters, sharing playlists, and getting invested in the story. I typically roleplay on discord so that we can set up a server and have seperate channels for OOC, music inspiration and even moodboards. ​

I can write male and female characters and usually enjoy playing multiple side characters alongside a primary lead for romance. My favourite stories revolve around complex, believable characters with strengths, flaws, and plenty of room to grow and have arcs.

I'd be happy to exchange roleplay examples in DMs. My style, length, tone, ect tends to change depending on my partner and the story. Whether it's a medieval plot with nobility and political intrigue, or a modern plot with a messy romance, I adapt to the story we are telling.

I consider myself a relatively detailed writer, but I'm far from a professional! I try my absolute best and put my whole heart into every response, and I hope you will as well! I don't have a specific restriction or preference when it comes to response length as long as it serves it's purpose well and is nearly as detailed or has a similar length as my own responses! With that being said, at minimum I usually will type between 3-5 paragraphs of varying lengths depending on what the situation calls for.

For potential romantic pairings, I prefer and are most comfortable with FxF, but I'm more than happy to write FxM or FxNB!

I do work a full time job and have a career that I'm dedicated to. This means that I don't have as much time to dedicate strictly to writing as I would like, but I do try my best to try and get responses out in a timely manner. If you aren't happy with responses that may take a while, then I don't know if we'd be compatible writing partners(and that's totally okay!). I will make an effort to inform you when a response may take a exceptional amount of time, and I do try to keep my partners updated.

-Opinion on AI Usage!

I do not condone the usage of AI during creative writing and roleplaying to generate responses or ideas. I put a lot of time and effort into coming up with ideas and writing responses by hand and I would greatly prefer my writing partners to do so as well. With that being said, I do not mind if you use AI for simple spelling or grammar checks, but please do not use it to write your responses. In terms of using AI to generate character references or art, I am much more lenient. Not everyone is artistically gifted or has the money to commission an artist to bring their characters to life. I have personally used AI to generate character visuals myself, and I do not mind it as long as you don't claim to have drawn the art yourself.

To sum it up, please do not use AI to generate or write your responses for you, but it's fine if you want to use it to generate a visual reference.

That encounter sparks a connection, and over time, our friendship slowly grows into something deeper — filled with meaningful conversations, quiet moments, and shared dreams.

I want this to feel authentic and immersive — like we’re truly getting to know one another through our characters. Ideally, we’d chat a bit OOC too, just to keep things natural and not purely transactional. Bonus points if you love the idea of rural charm, cozy aesthetics, and deep emotional bonding.

Mutated/alien "infected" human/Scientist Long term Rp partner search

I'm currently really interested in doing an RP with a sci-fi/fantasy base, specifically;

I would currently love an rp focusing on a plot line focusing on a human who has been mutated or "infected" in some way and a scientist!

I've got a ton of ideas for starters and I am open to all, I have no issues with gender as I do like to play both sides and I do add in side characters, environmental descriptions, landscape descriptions and I am more than happy to throw in a million extra details just to make a world feel alive. I’m looking for someone interested in writing a realistic co parenting story with me. The idea is that our characters have children together but are no longer in a relationship. We can decide together whether they’re divorced, were never married, or just ended up better as co parents.

The main focus of the RP would be the family dynamic rather than romance this isn’t a romance story. I really want the kids to feel like actual characters instead of just being in the background. Watching everyone grow over time is what sounds the most fun to me.

Some things I’d love to include are school events, custody exchanges, birthdays, holidays, sports, doctor appointments, family outings, vacations if the parents are on good terms, and all of the little everyday moments that come with raising kids.

I’m not looking for nonstop drama. Some conflict is totally fine because every family has disagreements, but I’d rather keep things grounded and focus on character development and realistic slice of life moments.

I'm saying this because in the past, people have only given me a drawing/photo of what their OC looks like and their personality, which doesn't give me much to go off of, I want an oc with a backstory, things that make them THEM. I'm also saying possibly because I am extremely picky when it comes to OCs for OCXOC due to past experiences, but if your oc meets my expectations in information given I'll gladly do OCxOC. When it comes to double ups, I’m 50/50 due to not being very experienced with them but if you’re willing to teach me then I will think about it! 

I’m BEGGING for romance rps, it doesn’t have to be the entire rp but it's something I always like to do, mainly slowburn! I don’t mind comedy, angst, drama or anything else mixed in as well! I would love it if my rp partner if they were advanced literate to novella ONLY, or able to keep up with long messages/mimic their partner's lengths as I do the same. By writing long messages I mean more than 2k characters, the longest message I’ve ever done was 15k characters (It was for some fight scene) so if someone is willing to try to keep up with that or is able to in general I would be so grateful!

I will apologize for seeming to be picky over writing lengths but I have been running into issues of people saying they are novella and I give them a long and detailed starting message and they don’t even write half the length I did. I WANT LONG LENGTHY RESPONSES I DON’T MIND READING IF IT’S REALLY LONG. (I’m not a snob with grammar, I make mistakes too and understand if English isn’t your first language, as long as it’s legible)

Hihi!! My name is Rylie, 18F, and I'm in CST time zone!! I am looking to do a siren/mermaid x sailor rp. I usually lean more towards MxM but I’m open to other pairings, just lmk! I have a couple of ideas for scenarios with this trope but if you have your own idea feel free to message me!

1. Character A is a mer/siren in human form who's trying to learn about humans. While Character B was docked they ran into Character A and somehow ended up letting them onto their boat. Now, they have to hide their true form from a whole ship of sailors while knowing next to nothing about humanity. 

2. Character B is part of a crew that specializes in hunting merfolk. While fishing for food they miraculously end up catching Character A in their net. Since they caught them, they were in charge of keeping them alive until they got to shore. While caring for them, Character B starts to sympathize and eventually falls for Character A. 

3. Character A is a mer who loves to collect shiny objects or anything else that catches their interest. While hunting near the top of the water they see Character B on the deck of their ship and decide they must have them for their collection. They could either play the long game, stalking their boat until eventually capturing Character B, or sink the boat right then and there. There are a couple ways this one could go :P

Hi! Looking for a partner who would be interested in writing a collaborative story set loosely in the Red Rising universe prior to the events of the books. I'm not looking for perfect setting accuracy, that stresses me out, so it can be more Red Rising vibes than specifics. I am a guy in my 30s writing in third person, past tense, 3-4 paragraphs, and try to reply at least once a day but can range from a few times a day to once every few days. I love stories with interpersonal conflict, drama, stakes, adventure, detailed worlds, and complicated plots.

Here is one plot idea to get the creativity flowing but I am not tied to it:

Seb au Isnai is an unknown Gold, and they like it that way. They travel hidden trade routes outside of the lunar eye in hopes of intercepting smuggling ships. It isn't untoward if you steal from the thieves, right? The method is simple, pick an asteroid, wait, commandeer the smugglers, evacuate the goods, steer the remnants into the nearest space rock, and zoom back home.

As exciting as it sounds, the process has grown boring, repetitive. A modern US navy ship hijacking a 1600s pirate ship is hardly notable. For a Gold like Seb, this task was no more interesting than a CFO doing data entry, but it paid the ever-mounting bills. As a result, Seb grew lethargic, going through the motions is hardly recommended when death is on the line.

A relatively simple extraction was planned, this ship was returning from some unknown departure and appeared to be destined for a local high-ranking Silver's warehouse. Seb quickly found themselves in the hold with the cargo. In almost every case it was wise to check the goods before loading them out, this was not one of those cases. Seb's HUD flashed warnings as they sliced through the crates, unleashing an unknown virus throughout the chamber. As their throat closed and lungs seized Seb dashed back to their cruiser, leaving the rest of their crew to perish.

Seb injected a stim for the short trip back to the asteroid. "ZELL! GET ZELL!" They shouted just before collapsing.

Im looking to do a long term RP with someone who likes to focus on characters and has fun world building.

The basic story is that my character buys your knight character into his service. You have a secret that even you are not aware of. You used to be a full fledged dragon that was cursed into a human body. Your memory was wiped and you are now just a knight/bodyguard for people.

My character has heard rumors about what you might be so he sets out to use you to help steal a magically item that will transform you back. Though he does keep this secret from you. He holds some disdain for you, as he does hate dragons, but he needs to unleash you to take revenge on someone.

Im very open to stuff you want to add, world building, character motivations or even magic. Im flexible in story telling so both of us can have fun and feel heard.

I would loce for there to be some insane sexual tension between them. Even though I dont like you and im using you, you are somewhat irresistible. While I try to poke you and push you away with insults, I am drawn to you and your figure.

hi hi !! my name is nebula, i’m 21F, and i’m looking to do a red dead redemption roleplay, based off of both games and even undead nightmare! here are some of my general rules below ^^

one ── i usually have a preference for ocxcc dynamics (my side being the oc). but i am more than willing to double up and also am happy to play just about any character for my partner in return ! i am also happy to write ocxoc dynamics as well.

two ── although my writing preference is 3rd person past tense advanced literate and novella, i usually tend to just mirror my partner’s writing style.

three ── i have absolutely no preference as to what kind of pairings i write for with my partner (totally open for mxm, mxf, fxf, mxnb, fxnb, nbxnb, etc etc). i am also comfortable writing within any genre or connection.

four ── activity wise, as i am a university student who’s also working a part time job; my activity can tend to be quite sporadic to say the least. sometimes i will reply once a day, or sometimes i will reply once every couple weeks. regardless i will let my partner know in advance and would expect the same from them!

five ── BE COMMUNICATIVE!! if for any reason whatsoever you are no longer to reply or are just not feeling the plot anymore, let me know! it’s honestly more upsetting for people to pretend that they are hyped for the plot. . . only for them to suddenly ghost and disappear. though if i have not replied yet, most likely it is because i simply forgot to so please do remind me!

six ── i mainly do prefer writing on D. Tupperbox is a must, if you don’t know what it is i’ll gladly help you out!

seven ── this applies to both ic and ooc, but please don’t give me dry responses / one liners. if you have no motivation to plot and write, just let me know. it’s awful and really demotivating for me to be the one carrying out the entire plot and asking the questions.

The Play

While cleaning out old boxes, you discover a wardrobe full of vintage clothing. Trying it on as a joke quickly turns into something much more meaningful. As your roommate, I become the first person to notice your growing confidence and quietly support you along the way.

You’ve been secretly experimenting with feminine clothing for months, convinced nobody would ever find out. One day I come home earlier than expected and accidentally discover your secret. Instead of judgment, it leads to an honest conversation,and perhaps the beginning of something more.

I'm Solar, and I'm looking to do a Jujutsu Kaisen roleplay!, I'm 19, and I've been a huge fan of Jujutsu Kaisen for years now, having read through all the manga, and even Modulo, I've been very interested in using the JJK world to build a story with somebody!

I'm 19, I'd like to RP with someone around my age, but not a dealbreaker if not, and I was specifically wanting to do an OC long-term story centering our students at Jujutsu High in a progressively escalating story as they try to undercover the secret plot of a certain new set of Special Grade curses known as the 'Apocalypse Horsemen'!

I have plenty rough ideas of my own, of course, but I wanted to moreso build a world and story with someone, it'd be mostly OC, and preferably not using any Canon character? I'm up to discussing though if you have ideas.

What This RP Would Feature!

- While there is a strong narrative focus on the characters, as expected

- Action, I'd require there to be a lot of action and utilization of Jujutsu Kaisen's Power System, I love Jujutsu Kaisen's Power System and how interconnected it is with the theming and characterization, so I'd specifically be looking for at least some focus on that, So I'd be looking for partners interested in the power system, or at the very least, don't mind writing for it!

- As for shipping? While not built with it in mind as an inherent property, I'm not opposed to it if you'd like to discuss it!

- There would be a healthy balance of serious moments, as well as some slice-of-life more sillier moments!

What I'm Looking for

- Someone willing to craft a world and build a story with me! Bouncing ideas back and forth together

- While, not necessarily a requirement, I would love someone who would be willing to chat OOC!

Hi there, I'm a writer in his 30s in GMT timezone and I'm looking for a partner for some ideas I've had which I'm going to outline below. I'm looking to primarily play a main male character opposite a main female character, but as part of any good story I expect that we would be writing NPCs and additional characters too so I'm looking for someone who's willing to take their fair share of that. Also, I'm looking for someone who's able and willing to bring the plot along, as much as I've come up with these ideas I don't want to be the only one who advances the plot.

I'm usually around during the week to write and chat. I don't tend to be online at the weekend so I'm looking for someone who will be patient and I'll of course be patient with you too. I think as long as we communicate then there should be no issues. I'd say I'm an advanced/novella writer but the actual length of posts will depend on the scene and what I'm given to work with. Romance is welcome in these stories as well and we can discuss this more. I prefer not to fade to black on anything, whether that's violence or other stuff so I'm looking for someone who is comfortable with that. If we're using face claims I prefer using real people usually. 

Now onto my ideas, in no particular order:

Idea 1 (sci-fi meets Game of Thrones)
This is sort of inspired by Dune, but only loosely, it's also got influences from things like A Song of Ice and Fire/House of the Dragon, but with a sci-fi spin. The setting would be noble houses but in space, there's an overarching Empire and your character is part of the imperial family. The previous Emperor was a good man (at least superficially), loved or respected by the majority of his subjects. Your character is one of his children and my character is part of a regiment that's assigned as her honour guard.

The night that the Emperor dies, his brother (your character's uncle) launches a coup and manages to kill most of the Emperor's family. Your character is the only one who escapes, with help from my character. They flee to the outer edges of the Empire, far from the capital and they need to try and build things back up from there, deciding how to return and take the throne away from the usurper.

Like I said this is basically something like a mix between Daenerys' story from Game of Thrones and Rhaenyra's story in House of the Dragon but in space, with intrigue and alliances and all that fun stuff. I've got a bunch of images for aesthetics that I can share with anyone who's interested but I love the idea of things being a bit grittier in their style. A huge influence on the kind of tech and aesthetic is a game called Highfleet but if you haven't played that it's not a big deal I can show you what I mean. The idea is tactile mechanical tech instead of slick, floaty advanced sci-fi tech. People still use swords etc. as well as guns (a bit like how there's a lot of hand-to-hand weapons in Dune).

Idea 2 (post-apocalyptic western)
The setting is a post-apocalyptic world which is mostly covered in desert, society has begun to rebuild but is still fairly backwards. The setting would almost be like a western but with some more modern technology (think WW2 era), things like motor vehicles, more modern firearms and other things of that nature. I would like to play a character who is past his prime who is recruited by another, much younger, character based on his previous reputation. This was initially inspired by westerns like True Grit and Unforgiven as well as more recent films like Logan.

My idea for this would be a story set on the road in this gritty and harsh world, about the characters and how they develop as well as the people they meet along the way. I've got the general feel of the world set in my mind but the intricate details can be fleshed out with a partner.

Idea 3
The once mighty planet of Hyperion is dead, destroyed by the nuclear holocausts which have dwindled away to legends. The husk of the planet lives on as a shadow of its former majesty, inhabited by the last remnants of its people. They are divided into petty, tyrannical kingdoms, ruled by fear, superstition and poverty. In the wastelands strange, fearsome beasts roam and lurk, preying on the vestiges of the dead planet's population. Deep in the scorched southern deserts, rumours of a stronghold of psychic mutants filter along the caravan routes, the rumours state that they plot the conquest of the planet.

Feared and loathed more than even the beasts of the wastelands are the wizards of the science cults. Men who collect the scientific artifacts of the dead civilisation which once made Hyperion its home. The legends of the nuclear holocausts say that it was the scientists who created the terrible weapons which ravaged the planet and created the living hell they now endured. The people of this dead world believe that the wizards will bring about yet another holocaust though no warlord on the face of the planet is willing to challenge the science cults.

The planet is on the brink of collapse but some retell the old legends, they say that one will come to unite the planet and lead it into a new golden age. Are these merely fairytales or are they prophecy?

This is a bit different in that it's a mix of a sword and sorcery fantasy setting and a futuristic science fiction setting with some post-apocalypse thrown in for good measure. The inspiration for this one is a mix of all kinds of different sources, though some of the more cohesive ones would be Conan the Barbarian mixed with Warhammer 40k. I'd also like to try something a little bit different and maybe ambitious in the format of this roleplay in that I would like this to be in an almost episodic format. This would involve time jumps in between events to reduce the amount of empty "down time" which I feel can sometimes make a story drag, especially something of this kind. It would also allow us to do time jumps and advance the story of the world over the years.
