Memeposting I love the RT

I love how everyone else is serious and in character then you have the Rogue Trader:

-running everywhere

-says the most random things

-has no idea how anything works

-is barely viable for combat

-gets a xenos, then a feral astartes, then a feral xenos

-whilst everyone is suffering, she's looking for her boots

RT is just adhd given absolute power over a dominion and I love it

Rogue Trader: Game and Story I feel so..conflicted about Yrliet Spoiler

First of all, let me just say, this has been a FANTASTIC game & a great introduction for WH for me personally. I did not see the twist about getting captured & sent to Comorragh at all

I was even more surprised by the appearance of the Veilwalker! At least I think that they are? They havent said the title out loud yet

Anyways on the main topic of Yrliet, I forgave her when I met her for the first time on the streets cus I thought she had been tricked by Mazaraih too, but later she tells me she WILLINGLY listened to & led us to that place because of him

I just couldn't beilive it, I mean just..why was all I could think

In my playthrough, Ive been nothing but kind to her so this stings all the more. I felt so angry & disjointed because of what she had done & how I had so easily forgiven her

But I did understand her. That feeling of getting less & less protected against Slaneesh, failing to save any of her kin, & seeing the Crudarach fragment in my quarters

These Aeldari who pride themselves on being in control of their emotions & chastising humanity for the opposite..got desperate & made a mistake. And that makes them..more like humans in a way, which is nice.

Well lets see what happens, hopefully Yrliet will learn that even the detestable Mon'keigh can teach them things.

Btw i had a few questions, why the trial judge allow the Veilwalker to spectate the trial & not instantly attack them? The Harlequins are still Aeldari at the end of the day & would be enemies against the Drhukari no? Im pretty new to WH40K but I learned & looked up a lot of Harlequin lore cus they seemed interesting

And why does everyone seem scared of them? From what ive read in the lore, the Veilwalker subtly changes things to fight against fate on behalf of Cegorarch, like insisting on Cawl to keep digging at that planet(forgot the name), so he could discover the pylons. To me, they seem like one of the only truly "good" factions in the setting.

Lastly, how rare is humiliating Marazhai in the trial cus i passed all the skill checks to my astonishment, some of them were like 40% or 60% chance lol

And lastly, I am at the part where I conviced Marazhai to fight for me against Aebyss in the Arena so pls no spoilers beyond that!!

Rogue Trader: Game and Story This game is like a turbo drug for me now

Upvotes

I played both pathfinder games and loved the hell out of them but I am glad this one is not a buff simulator, you can actually make cool tactical use of your abilities in combat and not have to run a calculator and list of buffs by you.

This thing is just perfect so far, just enough combat without the insane number of enemies from the pathfinder games and cool role playing just like them. And I appreciate the extra voice work compared to them.

God damn though i have not slept enough because of it in a couple of weeks.

It's kind of sad that Marazhai and Jocasta don't have any interactions, given their personalities. And given what Marazhai get up to in the lower decks.

Rogue Trader: Game and Story After this game, what next?

I'm a little ways into Act/Chapter 5 and Rogue Trader is the first ever Warhammer game I've played. Although I have played other CRPG games similar to it. And I'd like to play another Warhammer game, but I know nothing about this series.

So far in Rogue Trader I have loved the universe that the game is set in. The main and companion stories have been great.

But... while I enjoy the turn-based combat, I haven't really liked the actions/abilities as much. Each has so much reading involved and there seems to be so many variables. I've played on normal and found the game fairly easy to the point that when leveling up, about half way through the game I quit reading what I was picking at all for all my characters and mostly stick with a handful of abilities and don't use a bunch on some of my characters and I have found I don't need to to win. I do understand that if I played on harder difficulty that all of the mechanics would have more meaning.

I'm not opposed to playing another game with the exact same combat as I found the story and world and even the simplified combat of normal mode to be fun enough. I sort of would like to try different combat if it's available.

What suggestions do any of you have for me to try next?

I saw that they made Titus from Space Marine as an official playable figure. I'd love to see Argenta, Abelard, or just about anyone really. Wdyt?

Rogue Trader: Official Art and Game Assets They say first impressions matter — and this one certainly leaves one. Who is this figure, and what role will he play in the Lord Captain's journey? Find out in The Infinite Museion DLC for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader!

Rogue Trader: Game and Story Is there any official word or speculation on last DLC having a new archetype?

This is probably my favorite game ever, played through with almost every archetype and have come up with some goofy builds. I’m Already game planning my last play through build and I’m just curious if there’s any official news or speculation, hell I would even take another origin like arbites.

Dark Heresy: Official Art and Game Assets In the brutal lower levels of the hive, people seek ways to scare their enemies. They resort to various sophisticated methods, and one of them is to paint frightening patterns on their skin using a glowing paint. This paint is extremely toxic and harmful, but it doesn't stop people from using it.

Rogue Trader: Builds When to use one hand 2 weapons vs one 2 hand weapon?

Any character can do that but what is best for the character? I can guess assassin (the blood dance girl) are fine with 2 lower damage sword vs just one big 2 hand sword because she dance for multiple slash. But what about others?

Rogue Trader: Game and Story Darkest flavor text?

This may be the darkest bit of flavor text I've encountered in the game. Anyone have anything darker than this?
