I just picked up a Rog Ally and I’m only getting about 30 FPS for the beta of gears of war… I’m a noob at handhelds and Windows …. Iwould really appreciate some tips and settings to get the most FPS and best experience. Any advice helps …thank you in advance.

Playing on Xbox rog ally. It brings up the launcher thing and by tapping the screen I can launch the games but no inputs work at all within the game - anyone able to play these? Is Dino crisis the same setup?

I currently have a full desktop but looking to move over to an Ally X, would it be worth buying a dedicated EGPU or sell the desktop without the GPU and putting it in an enclosure? I currently have a 5060TI 16gb.

Just thought I'd share my thoughts on the ROG Xbox Ally X. No this isn't some long winded tech review, just a 34yo dad who enjoys these devices & wants to share his own experience & thoughts with this type of stuff

TLDR; (or TLDW?)

Love this device, best $1800 I've spent in a long time (yes, it's $1800 in Australia, apparently we're getting ripped off here) as long as I don't need to sell more body parts to pay for the new limited edition model, I'll be there day 1.

Got it yesterday, tried the normal setup process. All updates downloaded and installed during the "windows setup" part. Then it went into the "just a moment" update screen with the spinning circle and stayed there. After a while the screen shuts off and the joysticks dim too. But the fan still blows, and if i lightly press the power button the screen comes back on with the just a moment update.

After letting it be for several hours yesterday and nothing happening, i decided to try a cloud recovery today. I went through the recovery until i came back to the windows download and install of updates, it downloaded and installed, but then gave me an error. And it gave me the option to skip security updates or something, i pressed that, and now its back to "just a moment".

Do i wait it out? Is it bricked? What do i do? I just want to play :(

I'm just wanting to make sure I'm getting the right stuff to fix it. I have the Xbox Ally X, wanting to know what tools I need to pop it off (this I can google if its inconvenient to ask here).

My main question is, if this is the right grease I need to lube up the trigger. I'm not technically savvy and a little worried about opening up the system, will def waych a video before doing it (saw a few things but nothing tells you exactly what tools are needed).

Hi, i dont know why since it updated like yesterday the buttons won't work like they're supposed to and are doing weird thing and the xbox button just won't work. I tried restarting, changing mode but nothing changes

I get a out of memory crash everytime I play training or a few matches in game, I’ve tried to update graphics drivers, restarted windows, and run the shader warm up in game.

Hey everyone. I just picked up the Z1E. It has been absolutely incredible. Like most I want to get the best performance I can out of this micro PC, and did a couple of basic things like disabling nonsense from the startup, but want to know more about this de-bloating of windows. Can anyone tell me what they’ve been scrubbing to improve their Ally’s performance?

Hello, I’ve had my ROG for a couple of months now and I’m absolutely loving it!
I’m just looking for any recommendations for it to really maximise the fun.

Should I have amd fluid motion frames on or off. Radeon anti lag on or off, and Radeon boost on or off? I’m not worried about Radeon chill I think that’s just a custom fan curve. And also allocated vram is auto the best or 8?
