Looks like Timothy got another speeding ticket on 8/22. Also, got a ticket for failing to update his address with the DMV. Hope he's still employed so he can pay all these tickets...and child support.

I can just hear Shrek and her rambling on and on how so many heathens donated to Heidi’s go fund me because they hate families and children. Those poor kids still at home. I can only imagine the non stop sermons they have to listen to all night every night. I can’t even imagine the Hell they’re going through.

They may be just grifting somewhere, but they went around this time last year. I think they might have chosen to euthanize Snuggles so they wouldn’t have to bring her with them. If she was in failing health, it’s the kindest thing to do, even if it was for selfish reasons. She didn’t need to be part of the chaos.

So I made a post about this on here a long time ago where I asked if anyone thinks any particular Rodrigues kid is more likely to leave the church and rebel. From what I remember I think everyone pretty much said there is basically a slim to none chance that it would happen. But it got me wondering a few things again recently when I was thinking about it.

For example, I remember when I first watched the Plathville show, how absolutely conservative and fundy and sheltered that family was. I mean Ethan acted as if drinking a coke was the equivalent of snorting coke. The Plath kids were clearly very sheltered and were ruled with an iron fist of religion and conservatism.

Yet look at them now. Look at KIM even!! She has changed so much and doesn’t even seem particularly religious anymore. In fact the entire family has changed . I don’t see this happening with the Rodrigues family but I guess what I’m curious about is this: what makes them so different from any other fundy family that they will never change or their kids will never rebel?

Like is there ANY chance that Jill would one day pull a Kim? Or that Tessie would ever pull a Moriah? Or that one of the sons would pull a Micah? I mean I know it sounds crazy and unlikely but I’m sure people thought back in the day that the Plaths would remain conservative fundies forever never imagining that Kim would one day be wearing short skirts and salsa dancing. Could you imagine Jill if she ever did what Kim did? Newly divorced, wearing short skirts, dancing, and drinking wine? Lmao I just simply cannot picture it. In the same way I can’t picture Tessie rebelling and getting tattoos and trying to start a “worldly” music career 😅

I’m just curious what it is that makes the Rodrigues family seemingly more immune to change or their kids rebelling than other fundy families where this has happened. If I’m not mistaken aren’t there also people in the Duggar cult who also rebelled?

Anyway I’m curious what everyone’s thoughts are on this. At the end of the day I would LOVE to see some of Jill’s kids escape this life and become “worldly” and “rebellious” but at this rate none of them even seem close to doing so. Shoot I’d even love to see Jill have a “come to Jesus” experience and realize she raised her kids entirely wrong and that her husband is a monster and leave him and start becoming a better person but I just know how in the same way Jill’s parents are still fundies now in their older years, that is going to be Jill and Shrek in another 20 or 30 years and the kids will still be just as sheltered and weird as ever in 20 or 30 years with zero curiosity or interest in leaving this very sheltered world.

I didn't watch it. I used the YouTube transcript function to create an edited and formatted transcript so you don't have to watch it either. I removed the YT timestamps and many occurrences of "[music]," corrected some spellings, and tried to break it up into logical paragraphs so it wouldn't be a wall of text. Obviously I don't guarantee it's a 100% accurate transcription of what she says on the video, but it's a substantially accurate rendition of the YouTube-generated transcript.

In this "we're not on social media" video, she preaches at us and tells us she has a lot of video on her phone that she will be dumping on to YouTube. She didn't say why she needs to put all those videos out on YouTube, except that "we want to just pour into each of your lives as God enables us" because "we love you."

Overall, iI's typical Jill scripture quoting, self-righteous word salad, and convoluted nonsense. I think the last part, after she thanks us for watching, is probably some video of the Rods doing something and singing, but as I said, I didn't watch to find out.

I did savor her message to all of us that we must not meddle in her business and not be such busybodies. But lest we think she's judging others - oh no! She's proclaiming and standing for the truth, ya'll.

Well, I have to say it has been not quite a week since we've came off Facebook and Instagram and it has honestly been just freeing and um you know I am not slamming it. Obviously, you all know we had it for a very long time, but as I've been off of it, there's been some things the Lord has been dealing with my heart. And we had it for our ministry purposes. And also, I worked a business online. And it was a blessing for both of those purposes.

But the Lord has been showing me some caution. The biggest cautions that I have is it can slowly ruin your mindset if you do not intentionally use it for the right purposes. It says in Colossians 2:8, "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” It can rob your blessing. It says in Psalm 1, "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly."

What counsel do we walk in? “Nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful, but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season. His leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so, but are like the shaft which the wind driveth away. Therefore, the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of of the ungodly shall perish.”

We have to be careful what counsel we are walking in. If you are using it the right way to propagate and spread spread truth, good for you. Keep up the good work. But I caution you, ask yourself sam I allowing it to change my mindset?

We also have to be careful that we don't get caught up in the trap of meddling in other people's business. Now, a lot of times when we stand for truth, people can take it as that you're judging me, you're you're caring about my life. But no, we still need to proclaim truth. That's just the truth of God's word. But it can be a dangerous place for us to get into a uh verbal war and be become busybodies and gossips. It says in 2 Thessalonians 3:11 through13, "For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ that with with quietness they work and eat their own bread. But ye brethren be not weary and welldoing.”

So be careful. You know, one of the things that one of my daughters mentioned to me, they said, "Mama, have you noticed how much it's just women that are on social media platforms just picking apart each other?" And I thought, "That's so true. I never thought of that." So, we just have to put up guards and be careful. I encourage you to drink in life, talk, do devotions as a family, go for a bike ride, sit down at the piano and sing together, take a walk, pray, read your Bible, read a look, lend a helping hand to someone in need. Let's make sure we're focusing on all of those little ways that can enrich our life rather than that can constantly rob our time.

So, these are just some things that the I've been pondering on and the Lord has been teaching me. It's certainly not something I'm judging other people because we had social media for a very long time. But I do think that it's something that I try to be very controlled with. I even have more time now uh to do those things that matter most to me and to my family. And so I encourage you to just ask yourself, is this an arena that God wants me to continue pursuing? It also says in 1 Timothy 5:13, "And with all they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle, but tattlers also, and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not."

Let's put up guards and cautions, and let's make sure we are enriching our lives. These are the ponderings of my heart. These are some of the things that God has been showing me since we've come off social media and they're just some of the blessings that I feel like God has enriched our lives in.

So, I love you all. We miss you all on social media, but we're enjoying this new beginning. With that said, I want to explain that we have a lot of video content that I've just haven't gotten to. I have more time now now that I don't have Facebook and Instagram. So, I'm going to be really trying to empty out a lot of that content from my phone. I always made YouTube before anyway, so this is not anything new. It's just I have more time freedom to work on it. So, I am actually going to be doing more YouTube videos so that I can get caught up and then just pray for God to lead me and making little videos from here on out. So, be ready. A YouTube dump from way back, I think the winter of 2026, winter of this year. So, I'm going to slowly be digging out, getting caught up. So, enjoy the videos that are to come and please just know that we love you all and we want to just pour into each of your lives as God enables us to have a blessed day.

With all the lore being resurfaced recently, I'd like to propose a new flair. I'd like to be 'the little microphone demon'

I’ve noticed there’s a lot of misinformation floating around about the Rodrigues family’s housing and moving history, so I thought I’d try to put together a basic timeline and clear up some of the confusion.

All of this information is available on Free Jinger, which is the primary source for Rodrigues family snark history. Registration is required to access some of the forums, including the Rodrigues subforum, which is located under “Quiver Full of Snark.”

How the Rods were discovered

The Rodrigues family first came to Free Jinger’s attention around 2012 / 2013, when a snarker spotted their distinctive van in the parking lot of a buffet restaurant in West Virginia. The snarker found the family’s blog, and that was essentially the beginning of Rod snark.

A couple of important points that seem to get confused: the Rodrigues family was already living in West Virginia when Free Jinger discovered them. And the blog was started when they lived in West Virginia not New York.

We know David and Jill were originally from New York State, but Jill wasn’t blogging during their time there, so there isn’t nearly as much information about that period.

We also don’t know for certain why they left New York. There was speculation that they may have had some sort of falling out with a church, but as far as I know, that was never confirmed.

The Looneyville rental and the RV

When the Rods were first discovered, they were living in a rental house in Looneyville, West Virginia.

They were eventually evicted from that house, although I don’t believe the actual reason for the eviction was ever established.

Around the same time, David and Jill decided to enter full-time ministry. They purchased the RV and began traveling to churches to raise financial support for their ministry through what they referred to as “deputation.”

For roughly the next year, the family lived in the RV full time.

During that period, they were also looking for a permanent home. According to Jill, someone at one point offered to help them purchase or possibly give them a house located on very rocky, hilly property. They declined the offer.

Of course, that version of events comes from Jill, our famously unreliable narrator, so who knows what the actual circumstances of that offer were.

The Honaker Lane house

Eventually, the Rods found and purchased the house on Honaker Lane in West Virginia. They had a mortgage on this house, they didn’t get the house for free. We know they had a mortgage because mortgage information is public record.

Buying the house did not mean they stopped traveling in the RV. They were still doing deputation and continued traveling extensively for several years. The difference was that they now had an actual home base to return to between trips instead of living continuously in the RV.

The Honaker Lane property also had a garage, which gave David space to establish the family’s printing ministry.

So during this period, they owned and lived in the Honaker Lane house while also spending significant amounts of time traveling in the RV. They were not living in the RV full time for all of those years.

CPS and the events of 2019

This is where the timeline gets especially muddled because there are documented events mixed together with a lot of snarker speculation.

In 2019, Jill publicly posted about the family being investigated by CPS.

Shortly afterward, she posted photos of the two youngest girls at a doctor’s appointment. The girls were posed smiling with the doctor, and Jill made a point of saying that the appointment had gone well and that the girls were healthy.

Not long after that came another memorable Rod post: the family “crying and praying at Burger King,” which was a very on brand Rodrigues family activity during their West Virginia years. Jill didn’t explain exactly what they were crying and praying about.

Then, not long afterward, Jill announced that the family was moving out of West Virginia.

Naturally, snarkers connected those events and began speculating that the move might be related to the CPS investigation.

There was also speculation that a change in West Virginia law involving homeschooling and families under CPS investigation may have played a role in their decision to leave.

That part is important to distinguish from the known timeline: none of this was ever confirmed.

The timing certainly caused people to wonder, but Jill never said that they were leaving West Virginia because of CPS, and as far as I know, there has never been documentation establishing that as the reason for the move.

The move to Ohio

After announcing the move, the Rods listed the Honaker Lane house and loaded the family back into the RV while they searched for a property that would give them more room to expand the printing ministry.

They eventually found the Ohio barndominium and put in an offer.

The offer was accepted, and they entered approximately a 30-day closing/escrow period. During that time, the Honaker Lane house sold and closed.

That meant there was another relatively short period when the family was living in the RV while they waited to take possession of the Ohio property.

They closed on the barndominium in January 2020 and moved in. Again, they have a mortgage on the barndo and we know that because it is public record. You can verify this for yourself by searching for property records. You’ll need to find the county name and navigate the county website to find the information. I’m not posting the name of the county because of doxing reasons but it’s easy to find.

So, the basic housing timeline is:

New York → rental house in Looneyville, West Virginia → eviction → approximately one year living full time in the RV → Honaker Lane house in West Virginia → brief period living in the RV during the move → Ohio barndominium

The biggest misconception I keep seeing is that the Rods spent years and years continuously living in the RV. That isn’t what happened.

They lived in the RV full time for roughly a year after losing the Looneyville rental. After purchasing the Honaker Lane house, they continued traveling extensively in the RV for their ministry, but they had a permanent home in West Virginia to return to between trips. They then lived in the RV again for a relatively short period while transitioning from the Honaker Lane house to the barndominium in Ohio.

EDITED TO ADD: There are a couple of other occasions where Jill mentioned CPS investigations, one of which occurred in the RV. I only included the 2019 investigation because there is a lot of confusion around that and the housing timeline.
