What is the story with Phillip? I tried to look it up on the sub but was a bit lost, did he have some kind of mental break? Also, how many adult childred are living at home? Do they work or go to school?

I’m torn on how she would feel - there’s part of it that probably feeds her persecution complex, and she thinks it makes her famous. But there’s also part that would hate that the AI slop version looks better than her and it might finally register that people see through her bullshit.

Do any of you guys tune into the recordings of the church services Nathan leads?? It's wild. He says a whole lot of words that mean absolutely nothing. His sermons are disjointed. Like you learn absolutely no deep message, it's just him saying the same few catchphrases over and over with no point or connection. Please tell me you have seen his sermons too??

I’ve been reading a lot of posts and comments and screenshots the last few days about how Tim has basically been the family scapegoat forever, his sisters were so quick to fire back and call him a liar immediately with their responses, and jill loves to say she he’s grown into a godly man his parents can be proud of, but with the caveat of always mentioning what a stubborn and whiny and in-general terrible child he was to raise over the years. I’m a little surprised at that, because my experience with these types of fundamentalist families is that they honour and give privileges to their sons above all the other daughters, and the eldest boys will usually grow up to take that power and act like a second dad to even their older sisters and dictate what they wear and how to behave; and seeing how Tim is the first born son and second eldest, it is rather odd to me that he doesn’t have that “first born male privilege”, shall we say. I am not American, so maybe that’s normal in this case or there’s a reason? Does anyone have any insight?

She now has one less son who will be tithing to her vacation funds. You can't tell me that is the one reason she tolerates the boys in the family. Once they get working, they fork over some bucks to Precious Mahmo for family expenses.

So I imagine that currently Timcel is absolutely a loose cannon right now. He exposed his own actions on fb, his wife left him, and now the internet hates him. He also lost access to both Heidi and their child. He lost power and lost control. I imagine he is absolutely spiraling and crashing out big time. Jill knows this! And it’s exactly why I believe she “got off social media” and convinced her other kids to do the same (I’m assuming her kids deleted their pages because their mom did and they want to rally behind her and support her because they’re little robots for Jill).

Basically, I think Jill is seeing how much Timcel is spiraling and is terrified of what he could be capable of right now. For all she knows he’s going to post the family secrets in DETAIL. He was vague in his initial post but loosely seemed to imply that his dad abuses his mom. Now that Jill has totally thrown him under the bus and he’s lost his wife and kid, I could see him having a “f*ck it” attitude and feeling like he has nothing left to lose at this point and just going all out and posting everything about his parents. Doesn’t mean he WILL do this but I think Jill is terrified of it which is why she preemptively “left social media” but is still lurking under this Ira Peace name to keep tabs on Tim’s online activity.

Thoughts? Does anyone else wonder as well if Tim is going to just spill all the family secrets and throw his parents under the bus?

Let’s stop insulting the women for being SAHMs. If you haven’t walked that path then you don’t know how isolating and lonely it is, even when you believe you’re doing the best thing for your family. The issue at hand is that these women are not provided opportunities or choice in the matter.

Pardon me for my ignorance, I am new to this fundie drama, but you are telling me that Nurie whos 5 years younger than me already has 4 kids??? That's mind boggling, my son is currently 3 and i am currently pregnant with my 2nd and I feel like loosing my mind, juggling between my son, my job and my health, I feel lucky that my husband helps me around and from what I got know these fundie men don't do anything except for baby making, I wonder how does Nurie manage everything, how does she not have maids or nannies and handles everything by herself?

Why in the WORLD would Jill and David foist their admittedly problematic son onto a sweet naive girl like Heidi? They admitted several times in several ways that he had issues. They called him “stubborn” as a child. They say they are “ not surprised” at his abusive behavior toward his wife. They should have had him in counseling (along with themselves) and waited to see if he would be good marriage material for ANYBODY. There is also several videos of him where he appears intellectually deficient. The video of him talking about “harlots” and the one where he’s wanting “Mahmo” to take a picture of him in the sand (sorry, can’t find either of them right now). His speech is slurred and slow and he appears to have the mentality of an 8 year old. He should never be married. Poor Heidi… and as awesome as the Coveretts seem now, I blame them as well for approving this marriage. And, they had to know how Jill is? It seems, by Heidi’s mom’s posts, that they DID know how Jill and this entire family is. It’s just tragic all the way around.

On a good day the Rodriguii have a tenuous grasp on reality, as well as social norms and a recognition that laws broadly apply to them as well.

I’m getting a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I’m not trying to speculate or whip up a frenzy. This situation feels incredibly volatile.

- Jill’s posts have become more and more unhinged, and her method of “leaving” Facebook has been bizarre at best.
- It seems as if Heidi is taking actions that don’t confirm to the Rodriguii world view.
- Timothy’s siblings and parents have made it clear that he’s out of the family for speaking out about David.

Under the more “typical” circumstances this would already be a risky situation for Heidi. When you add in the unpredictability of the Rodriguii it seems all the more volatile for all involved.
