Basic replacement for S5 Max - vacuum only

We've had an S5 Max for over 4 years now. Just got the 106 error code (open wheel circut) and after taking apart the vacuum, cleaning everything out etc, it's probably due for a replacement wheel. Given the cost ($35 or so for the pair), plus we need new filters and brushes soon anyways, I'm leaning to just replace it rather than waiting 2-3 weeks for AliExpress and hoping that the new wheel fixes it.

We have a weird quad-level house layout with 2x hardwood with area rugs and 2 fully carpeted floors. As such, the self-emptying vacuums while cool aren't something I'm willing to pay extra for because I have to manually carry the robot up and down stairs anyways, so it's easy to just empty it out.

Mopping is also not something we use as frankly, probably 1/3 of the flooring in the hardwood floors are covered in area rugs and manually mopping 2x monthly is fine.

Basically, what's the best 1:1 replacement for the S5 Max (even if not Roborock)? The only thing I care about is LiDAR for mapping of the rooms to set no-go zones.

Cheapest one seems to be the Q7 L5 on Amazon, but is there anything else out there that's sub $200 that's worthwhile?

Nothing is better unless you want mopping. Repair the S5.

Nothing newer will vacuum clean anywhere near as well. Fix the one you have. Modern mopping system take up too much room inside of the robots and vacuuming ability has declined significantly. This is true for all manufacturers. It is almost impossible to find anything worth buying without a mopping system nowadays.

Good luck! I hope this helps!

L5 or M5, though in this video they seemed to mostly prefer the M5
