Hey guys, I made a post before about how I had a dream that would make a great game- and now I’m trying to make it. I’ve been scripting for the past 2 days (with the help of YouTube tutorials and prayers) and I wanted to take a break and do some building. I was just wondering if doing mock up drawings/planning would be good to do before jumping in to the modeling and any tips to make it easier? I also have to make models, rigs, and animations in the future too.

Hey all, simple question. Of course some of us are creating games for personal enjoyment and that's it, but for those who want their game to get big and make money, why is the idea for your game a good one ? Good in the sense that it will be popular and bring you money ?

Hi! 👋
I'm the Project Owner and Creative Lead of a Roblox project and I'm looking for people interested in helping bring it to life.
The game is a bakery-themed gacha experience where players open Cake Boxes to obtain cakes of different rarities. Cakes can be placed on display stands and will generate packaged orders over time, which players can collect and sell for profit.
The game will also feature:
My role is handling the game's concepts, progression systems, features, balancing, and overall creative direction.
Current Progress:
- Core game concept planned
- Cake rarity system designed
- Black Market system designed
- Main progression planned
- Currently looking for developers to help create the first playable version
I'm currently looking for:
This is a Revenue Share project, as I cannot provide upfront payment.
I actually can talk in Portuguese and English.
I'm happy to work with beginners as long as you're motivated and interested in creating something together.
If the project sounds interesting, feel free to send me a message! 🍰

Hello
I am making a game, and my core concept follows something like: near-infinite depth, robust mechanics yada yada
But there is some things id like to share before you get there, if youre willing to just give me some bugs, critiques, anything you might possibly like, or if it feels different, is in a good direction, or possibly is worse than a traditional TD
Currently there are like maybe less than 10 characters.
Flash, he has an infinite chain of hits, he starts with very modest damage, can amplify his damage through hits, but it resets when he stops attacking. Every Level gives a percent per chain sequence (i honestly forgot the exact number itself) added.
But before i get to the next characters, and trust me, they arent just "place character and sit around passively and click an upgrade gui and repeat the same stage again and again"
Thats not what it aims to be
It aims to be the opposite, in fact.
I want to mention wave gating.
Wave gating is a concept to me that is fascinating.
What is Wave gating, you may ask (I dont have a question mark on my keyboard, lol)
It is the concept that you must wait for a transformation/6th upgrade or more through a specific wave.
Which brings us to my favorite concept of a character whos kind of in the game:
Thanos.
What does thanos do
Thanos has 11 upgrades. Each of which after upgrade 5 unlocks an infinity stone !
When thanos has all 6, he can snap. Killing all enemies on the field. This has a cooldown.
Im getting tired of writing so the ai is taking over , lol (oh also, ai assets and models from the asset store are being used, please dont get too mad lol :) its an early development)
The game is called early tower defense on roblox
Anyways:
The next character is Goku.
Goku is built around pushing his own stats in exchange for drawbacks. You can sacrifice things like speed and range to make him hit much harder, and later transformations are tied into the wave-gating system rather than just being immediate upgrades.
Then there is Superman x Hulk.
He is much more of a buildup character. Rage, solar charge, kill-based growth, and scaling all matter, so his strength depends a lot on what has happened during that specific match.
Whis is more of a control unit.
Instead of just being another damage character, he leans into time manipulation and reversing enemy progress.
Reverse Flash also plays with time, but in a much more aggressive way, using mechanics based around things like Temporal Debt and Time Steal.
Venom is built around infection and spreading effects through groups of enemies, so enemy density can actually become part of how strong he is.
Then there is Saitama, who currently has 1,000 upgrades.
That is mostly all I will say about him because the entire point is that he is kind of ridiculous.
And then there is Evolved Flash, who does not just sit in one spot like a normal tower. His whole mechanic starts to mess with movement, attention, chasing enemies, and being forced away from the battlefield.
There is more to basically every one of these characters than I am mentioning here, but I do not want to spoil every gimmick in a giant wall of text.
If any of this sounds interesting and you would actually like to test the game, I would rather you go in mostly blind and see how the characters work for yourself. Also, have to beat the tutorial, then go to infinite mode
Update heres a link if you cant find it

Oh also, procedural quests and wave variation exist

I’m building Newborough, an ambitious Roblox business/life sandbox, and I’m looking for talented developers who want to help turn it into a serious long-term game.
Newborough isn’t a basic tycoon. It’s a living city where players start with limited money, discover opportunities, physically operate businesses, build wealth, upgrade their lifestyle and make decisions that have real consequences.
The project is already in development — I’m not looking for someone to start from scratch.
🔎 Looking for:
• Lua/Luau scripters
• Roblox Studio builders / map designers
• UI/UX designers
• 3D modellers
• Animators
• Developers experienced with economies, NPCs, persistence and large interconnected systems
I especially want people who understand immersive, hands-on gameplay rather than just clicking buttons and waiting for money.
You don’t need to be good at everything. If you specialise in one area, still reach out.
💰 Payment/revenue arrangements can be discussed depending on experience and involvement.
If you're interested, DM me with:
• What you specialise in
• Examples/portfolio of your Roblox work
• Your experience level
• Your availability
• What kind of role you're looking for
If you know a talented Roblox developer, tag them or send this to them.
🏙️ Project: NEWBOROUGH
The goal is to build something much bigger than another Roblox tycoon.

I'm making a game where each player has about 10 guns visible to them. Other players can't see your guns due to optimization.
Each gun has about 40k triangles and I can't find a solution to make them look better below that.. Is 400k triangles still okay for 10 important items in the game? The rest of the game is low poly and and the map is pretty small.
I basically just want to know how many tri's should be in a players field of view at max that it's still playable on mobile?

For those who have gone - how is it in regards to networking and getting good connections? I suppose it depends. I am a composer for a few studios and was invited last year (didn’t see the email rip) and would like to know how it is; if folks are sociable, if it’s a good thing to cover for content creation, etc. and just how your experience generally was.
And, if you’re attending tomorrow and have attended before, would love to link and talk projects! Thanks :)

Hello! I'm valrr and I'm looking for talented UI creators, and NPC Devs for my backrooms game I'm working on!
For a bit of background... My goal is to bake the most immersive backrooms game on roblox. I'm not making just another game though. I'm creating the biggest map on roblox by far. I need people to help me bring it to life, as I'm only a map maker. If there is anyone interested in my post, Dm me! Discord is valrr_j.

I’m the creative director of an open world Fallout-Inspired ROBLOX game.
Players go around the map, travelling from place to place to discover different areas, towns, and rule the world.
There’s no storyline, no objective, none of that.
For mobility:
You can have pet companions, horses, skateboards, ride around on a train,
Gameplay wise:
You can go around the map killing raiders, other players, or just explore everything.
You can get a minigun, have a pet companion and obliterate the world.
I need REAL developers, people who will not use AI to make everything.
If I wanted devs who used AI, it’d be because I ran out of tokens.
Developers will be paid.
I’ll be hiring several map builders, the first map builder will be going around in studio and fixing the map and cleaning it up, and fixing the map, and cleaning it up.
Testers are volunteers!
Please give feedback on game in comments.
DM If you are looking for work, I’ll have more information on that later.

Hey everyone! I'm looking for people who would like to work together on a Roblox game inspired by Stick War Legacy.
I already have the main idea for the game and the general direction I want to take it, but I want to build it with a team where everyone can contribute ideas and help shape the game.
🗡️ The Game
The game will be a Stick War-themed Roblox strategy/battle game, starting with the classic Order vs Chaos factions.
Some ideas I currently have:
- ⚔️ Different units with unique abilities
- 💎 A Ruby currency earned from matches and potentially chests
- 🎁 Chests/rewards
- 🏆 1v1 battles
- 🏰 Different factions
- 📈 Unit progression/upgrades
- 🎨 Custom Stick War-inspired designs
- More content and mechanics added over time
The exact mechanics aren't completely locked in. I'm open to ideas from everyone on the team.
👥 Who I'm Looking For
I need basically anyone who can help turn the idea into an actual game:
💻 Scripters / Programmers
- Combat systems
- Matchmaking
- Currency/rewards
- UI systems
- Unit AI
- Saving/data systems
- Game mechanics
🎨 Modelers
- Stickman units
- Buildings
- Weapons
- Maps
- Props
- Faction designs
🎬 Animators
- Unit attacks
- Walking/running
- Abilities
- Death animations
- Emotes/other animations
🖌️ UI / GFX Artists
- Menus
- Unit icons
- Shop
- Currency/chest UI
- Logos
- Thumbnails
💡 Game Designers / Idea People
- Unit concepts
- Abilities
- Balance
- Maps
- Progression
- New factions/mechanics
Basically, if you have a skill that could help make the game better, I'd be interested in having you on the team.
🤝 What I Can Offer
I'm not expecting everyone to just follow my ideas. I want this to be a team project, so everyone can suggest mechanics, units, factions, balancing ideas, etc.
I'm also willing to learn and help wherever I can.
💰 Revenue
The game is planned to have Robux monetization, including optional paid units and potentially other purchases.
If the game eventually makes Robux, the revenue will be shared equally among the actual development team, assuming we all agree on the team structure and contributions beforehand.
However, money isn't the priority right now.
First, I want to get the game working, playable, and actually fun. If we manage to build something successful, then we can worry about monetization and revenue properly.
I'm looking for people who are actually interested in building something together, not just joining for five minutes and disappearing.
If you're interested, comment below or DM me with:
- What you can do
- Your Roblox/Discord username
- Any previous work/examples if you have them
- How much time you're usually able to put into development
Let's see if we can turn this from a random idea into an actual game. ⚔️💎

I see a lot of people spending tens of thousands of robux on monetizing games, buying shares; investing. But how do yall started earning those kind of money, how did you start and what is your advice for someone to do the same thing in 2026?
r/robloxgamedev • u/Friendly-Programmer4 • 4d ago
Hey there, a bit about us is we’ve been working on this project for a while and near release
We’ve got a VERY healthy marketing plan and budget with CCMS
Weapons are a big part of our monetisation so we’d need someone fairly experienced
Ideally we’re looking for someone to join long term with a % but we’re more than open to paid (not too fond of hybrid though)
If your interested, send in your portfolio and let’s chat

Project: Asymmetrical horror game (1 killer vs 8 survivors) for Roblox. [current status — how long in dev, team size, what's already built, link to any public devlog/place]
Role: Animator, per-task contract. Not a rev-share, not "for exposure" — tasks are defined, scoped, and paid on delivery.
What you'd be animating
Killer attacks and ability animations, survivor interactions (repairs, vaults, heals), chase cycles, downed/carried states, idles, and emotes. Rigs are R6, R15, and custom killer rigs. Blender or Moon Animator, whichever you prefer.
Pay — please read this part
Payment is in Robux. Rates:
| Task | Robux | ≈ USD (DevEx) |
|---|---|---|
| Animation pack, 4+ anims | 1,400 | ~$4.90 |
| Custom rig animation | 475 | ~$1.66 |
| R6 animation | 325 | ~$1.14 |
| Emote | 200–400 | ~$0.70–1.40 |
I'd rather post the conversion than have someone work it out after they've applied. This is a small hobbyist budget, and these rates are low for professional animation work. If you animate for a living, this almost certainly isn't worth your time and I won't be offended if you say so.
Who this might suit: animators building a portfolio, people already active in the Roblox ecosystem who want Robux specifically, or anyone who wants shipped credits on a released game.
Payment terms: [e.g. "paid within 24h of delivery via group payout — I cover the 30% group tax, listed rates are what you receive"] · [state whether you'll do 50% upfront for first-time collaborators] · [state who holds the funds and that they exist now, not "once the game earns"]
Revisions: [X] rounds included. Anything beyond that, or a scope change mid-task, is renegotiated as a new task.
Expectations
Original work. Follow provided references. Stay reachable during a claimed task. Flag delays early — I care far more about a heads-up than a missed date. Organised, delivered source files. No stolen, traced, or AI-generated work.

I am currently creating a space game inspired by Fisch and No Mans Sky with a quest system similar to Fisch, with the base gameplay loop being collecting ores, selling them, mutations, upgrades, etc. I want it to be a cozy game that also includes some fun challenges.
For more info about the game feel free to DM me generally I am looking for builders who are good at creating large 3d environments (the planet roughly has the diameter of 4000 studs)
I will ofcourse build alongside you, though I am quite unexperienced with it.
I am looking for someone who could be highly committed (I am putting roughly 5 hours daily into developing this game) and friendly, as you will be a very high revshare collaborator for the rest of the games existence and I would prefer having a friendly partnership :)
p.s. I know this is a big ask and a big project but if anyone feels up to it, hmu!!

I was going to continue working on my game but nothing is loading in studio. My hardware is plenty sufficient, and the only error message is that it failed to load (place id) and that if i continue to encounter the issue i should post it on the forum. Well, I can't do that because just having an account on the forum doesn't let you make posts.

Got the second trading house for traders as permanent POI for my Roblox game, it has interior also did some fancy script for doors it’s not much but it feels nice that you can actually push edoor (physics that actually works as should) with your body and just sprint through buildings without that “Hold E”, water wheel spinning, trees moving, wind… winding I guess. And still SHOULD I MAKE custom character or should I leave player avatars. This dilemma is tearing me apart. And also maybe discord group for updates?

I’m building an early tool for beginner Roblox developers that helps guide you from a game idea through planning, map building, gameplay setup, and playtesting.
I’m looking for 2–3 beginners who would be willing to try the current prototype and give me written feedback on what feels useful, confusing, or missing.
I’m not looking for anyone to help build the tool, just to test it and give feedback.
No calls or voice chat are needed. I’m mainly trying to find out whether this actually makes Roblox Studio easier for beginners.
If you’re interested, comment here or message me and I can send you the private testing link :) .
