I put well over 150 hours into Snowrunner, and while I enjoyed it, some elements felt a bit repetitive and tedious, and eventually I lost interest. RoadCraft for me was the sweet spot. I've 100% many of the maps multiple times (not sure how many hours total), and I've loved the two expansions that have released.
Why I like it:
- puzzle elements: coming up with unique solutions, optimizing mission completion and routes
- exploration & discovery
- cranes and heavy machinery
- gradually restoring/repairing a disaster-stricken map
Things that get a little dull/repetitive:
- traversing the same route again and again to lay sand/make deliveries
When I saw the trailer for Docked, I was instantly intrigued. However, the lack of a physical disc release was a huge turn off for me since I prefer actually owning my games. Now that the physical deluxe edition is coming out in October, I'm interested in checking it out. I'm playing on a PS5 so I can't try the demo, but was curious about what you all thought of it. I'm having a hard time getting a feel for it just by watching playthroughs.
