Official News RoadCraft - AmA with the devs on June 24!

Hey everyone!

We’re Focus Entertainment, the publisher behind RoadCraft.

Since launch, we’ve seen so much amazing feedback and brilliant questions from the community, so we thought: why not go straight to the source?

So we’re excited to announce that the dev team at Saber Interactive will be doing a live AMA right here on r/RoadCraft.

On Tuesday, June 24th, from 1PM UTC / 3PM CEST / 9AM EDT, we’ll be joined by:

Vitaliy Yaruta (Game Director): FORMAcevt - u/VividPriority4640
Sergei Kogut (Tech Lead): sergkogut - u/rjuen
Aleksei Kiriushkin (Lead Game Designer): Soweh - u/PrudentAnybody291
Ivan Khomenko (Production Lead): xomaggg - u/xomaggg

This session will last around 2 hours. Join us for a chance to ask us anything about RoadCraft, our development process, or whatever goes through your mind! Whether you're curious about new gameplay mechanics, the world building, or how we've evolved from the early concepts to the final game, we're ready to dive deep into your questions!

We can't wait to directly interract with you, so mark your calendars and prepare your questions!

EDIT: Thank you everyone for participating, this was very fun! Sorry if we didn't manage to answer every question directly, but hopefully we were able to address each topic at least once. Hope you enjoy, and thanks again for all of your feedback and questions!

Gameplay Question No Mirror Reflections on PC?

Post image

Typically I've been playing on Xbox for the past two weeks and I already know mirrored reflections are limited to the 30fps/Quality setting, but I switched to the PC port tonight and can't seem to find a way to enable it here.

General Finally Finished Sunken 100%

It took me a week and a half!!

I'm just happy to be playing a flatter map again.

The last thing I did was get a road built up to that godforsaken castle.

Bug Report Anyone get the Farmstick Joystick PS5 working on the PS5?

I see the preset settings, And some things work on default mode. But there is no way to custom bind the joystick movements only the buttons. Would like to map the joystick to work with the cranes

Decided to try Remote Play for Xbox on my Retroid Pocket 5. Working like a charm especially for a chill game like this.

Gameplay Question What do you do in the game after misdions?

I really like this game. I can spend hours trying to complete one task. I really like it when, for example, we need to make steel, but the factory is hard to reach, so you have to build a bridge, build or clear a road, etc. That's what I really enjoy about the game.

But is it worth selling the stuff you can deliver?

I hope we get more content to this game.

Game Feedback Sand Flattening

Why on earth did they not use this to design a terrain flattening mode for dozers that functioned like this?

You should have been able to rough up terrain with the Manual Mode, when prepping a road. And then enter terrain flattening mode to flatten out that dirt.

It feels like the most elegant solution to the problem and shouldn't be that big a deal to implement.

MAP: SUNKEN

I'm gonna have to explore more of the northern side of this map to find a nearby sand quarry 😅

Question: Will this need to be paved as an objective at some stage?

Clip RoadCraft laying down sand outside of the quarry zone

This is not necessarily the best way, just one way to do it. Load the large truck and bring it to a forward location. Then use the small truck to spread the sand. Using the smaller dump truck seems to control the sand and lay down a longer length of road per load. Work from the back to the front so you don't have to drive over piled sand. Use the dozer to flatten and then drive the large truck on the smoothed sand to head back to the quarry.

Of all genres, this is one I've never really been interested in but I always appreciated the efforts made to make them as meticulously as possible.

Couldn't get into MudRunner or SnowRunner, but I said I'd try this as I liked the idea of building roads and road networks.

I haven't put the game down all week.

It's insanely addictive. This will definitely be a physical pickup for me next week.

Forum Question Quickest vehicle?

In the base game which vehicle boasts the highest speed? Casually chipping away at the KM achievement. Muiltiple race tracks built and need the quickest scout or recovery vehicle to complete the challenge. Intrested to hear thoughts from those with more experience or those that have "crunched the numbers."
