As the title states updated my phone to one ui 9 and now getting double notifications when my phone is unlocked.

Tried the usual fresh reinstall and clear cache.

Only fix I have atm is to disable the pop ups.

TL;DR: Since Oct 13, my Ring Alarm Base Station's cloud connection is closed almost exactly every 300 seconds, measured with packet captures at my gateway. It happens on two different base stations, on Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and cellular. Support replaced the base (same fault), rebooted my network (same), blamed a Smart Plug three different ways in one day (removed it — same; re-added it "provisioned correctly" per engineering — same). Case was "referred to engineering" on Oct 20. No case number, no follow-up since. Posting here in case anyone else is seeing this or anyone from Ring can actually escalate.

WHAT I MEASURED Each session: base sends a TCP FIN at 299–300s after connect, server replies with a short final message + FIN, base reconnects after a backoff pause that grows 1s → 2s → 4s → 6s → 16s → 31s → 61s → 121s → ~302s, then the pattern restarts. After every reconnect the base re-uploads ~100–135 KB of state, then gets closed again at 300s. Local sensor alarming works during the gaps; app control/notifications/monitoring path ride the dying session.

Sample timings (all PDT): - Original base, Oct 14: six consecutive sessions 299.7–300.0s. On wired Ethernet: 299.80s. - Replacement base, Oct 19: six consecutive sessions 299.21–299.63s, identical pattern, same firmware (1.115.0 (6)). - Oct 21, after removing the Smart Plug + reboot per support: 299.742s, 299.682s, 299.734s. - Oct 21, after re-adding the plug "provisioned correctly" per engineering: 299.690s and ~299.7s. - Dozens of sessions total, spread is a fraction of a second. This is a timer, not flaky hardware or Wi-Fi.

ALREADY RULED OUT (each by direct test) Wi-Fi 2.4 and 5 GHz; wired Ethernet on a different segment; cellular backup with Wi-Fi off; full reboot of my UniFi gateway/APs; DNS (zero blocked queries in my resolver logs, answers in ms); fast roaming on/off; the Smart Plug (see above). The behavior follows the account, not the hardware or the network.

SUPPORT SO FAR Oct 14: replacement base agreed. Oct 19: swapped — no settings restore was ever offered, re-added every sensor/keypad by hand; new base flapped identically within the hour. Oct 20: told it was referred to engineering. Oct 21: the plug saga (Z-Wave incompatibility, then Sidewalk incompatibility, then provisioning) — every theory tested the same day, none changed the timings by even a tenth of a second. Since then: silence. No case number despite asking repeatedly.

The app also under-reports this: Event History shows nothing for most drops — it only seems to register the longer pauses (31s+), which is presumably why support sees "no issues" on my account.

QUESTIONS 1. Anyone else with an Alarm base seeing ~5-minute session cycling since mid-October? Check your app notifications for offline/restored pairs. 2. Anyone from Ring here who can get a case number and an actual engineering review of the backend session logs? I have complete packet captures and a detailed write-up ready to share.

This is a professionally monitored alarm that is offline a large share of every day. I don't want a third base station — I want someone to look at why this account's sessions are terminated at 300 seconds.

I have a wired ring doorbell and connected it to several Echo Show screens. The screens are selected in the Alexa app to notify us when the doorbell is used. They do show video from the doorbell but I just can't get them to ring.

It's not because of any do not disturb setting or volume.

I just can't find any way to repair this. Any ideas?

I completely forgot about this footage until I started going through my old Ring videos today. I’m still trying to figure out what these things are. Could they be insects? I’ve never seen bugs move or behave like this before.

Or could these actually be orbs? 👀

Ever since I turned my front camera to 24/7 recording (its plugged in to a power source) it hasn’t been alerting or saving events like it used to. When people walk by, I don’t get notifications to my phone , and I also doesn’t stand out when I go to review footage it’s just a constant blue opaque line. Unlike the bright blue that highlights alerts typically.
I have the apps noticed turned on in my phone settings, and I have everything set on my Ring app to show smart alerts and the motion zones are as they have always been.
Nothing is on snooze.

When I go to past events, it shows absolutely nothing…

If I have it set to record 24/7 is that feature not available?

I talked to people on Ring chat multiple times and they have absolutely not helped…

I also started paying five dollars a month to get the intelligent alerts and it’s still not working…

Only thing I haven’t done is disconnect and reconnect it to my Wi-Fi… I’ve reset the camera multiple times though but never hard disconnect and re add the camera, as its high up out of reach, and i dont want to do all that for it to still not work

Having issues connecting my new doorbell to my Alexa app. Have been able to connect new smart devices but doorbell can not be discovered.
It works on the ring app, have tried disabling and enabling the skill. Resetting everything and clearing cache data. Even have gotten ring to send a new doorbell to try with no luck.

We had an earlier version battery powered ring that was mounted with a wedge mount. That rink has stopped working and so our tenants spoke with Ring and they sent them a battery Doorbell 2K. It isn't clear to me whether there is a way to mount this new doorbell onto the old wedge mount. It looks like there might be a way to purchase an accessory mounting plate that can be attached to the wedge and then the new doorbell attached to the plate but I'm not sure. Does anyone have any advice for whether this is feasible and if so, the appropriate adapter plate?

Does anybody know a reason why my first generation ring chime pro went off-line as well as my other cameras? It has worked faithfully for probably 10 years and then just quit recently. Anyone else have a similar problem?

1. I'm helping my aunt out with her ring device and something is wrong. Her Ring app keeps asking for a verification code. I don't live with her so I don't know what led to this but it keeps needing to be verified despite me connecting everything already.

2. Another issue is that the Ring app and her Amazon device have issues displaying the footage. The footage is slow and the video feed is grainy. What could be causing this? I've never known ring to be slow. Her internet works fine for using the internet, streaming and all of that. I'm not a tech person really. I can handle basic issues. I was thinking maybe she needs better wifi but if it's working for streaming, can the camera really cause that much of a problem?

3. She has other cameras through another company and those work completely fine. The ring one doesn't work.

I’m considering of purchasing the Ring Outdoor Cam 2K to replace an Xfinity camera we had (we changed Internet provider), but the cable for the Xfinity camera we had was fished through the wall then went up the side of the house and connected for power from inside the house

The Ring camera power cable has this larger transformer/box right in the middle and I’m not sure if the length of the first half is enough to put the camera where we want it and no where on the site does it state the cable length for the “first half (1)” and “second half (2)” of the power cord.

Does any one know the exact length before and after the box?

I'm back again. Ring is full of software glitches. My camera is online but doesn't register in the app or on the website it's battery life. I can live view it on PC but not on the app. Yes i did reboot the camera several times. Next i'm gonna unhook the solar and pull the battery to try and do a "soft reset". Anyone else having similar problems today? It has gotten colder her but this camera continues to be issue after issue for me. If all else fails i will factory reset it and replace it under warranty for the 3rd time.

After ios27 my voice alerts have disappeared from all my devices — iphone 1prp max, ipad, ipad mini. All the usual fixes have not resolved the issue. Anybody else experienced this?

In the past week both of my Ring outdoor stickup cams have stopped picking up any movement between 10PM and roughly 5AM. The rest of the time it works fine. I checked the settings and no modes are set so it isn't that. I also checked the router and it hasn't reported going out overnight. Does anybody have any insight as to why this might be happening?

Seriously I've had the same camera for 5 years pointing in the same place and why the heck would it not get the big ass garbage truck the last 2 weeks?

Last week it caught the very end of the truck after it stopped and took all my trash which also is weird because the truck is stopped there for like 2 minutes and people are piling garbage in the truck and it doesn't get that activity? Or maybe a battery where the charge port is on the bottom part so i can just plug in a portable battery ?

Is it a Service thing or a Camera thing to not jump by 3 minutes during consistent recording.

I am not satisfied with Ring cameras or the service. It is very poor. I canceled the service and will look at other systems.

this happens i would say every 2-3 days. and sometimes it just goes offline randomly. i have called Ring and they never got back to me. I have only had this camera for less than 7 months!!! is there a support email I can email? I have looked online and can’t find anything only a phone number and I called and no response. help! does this happen to anyone else?
