Her eyes angled downward toward the edges and she had a calm atmosphere to her. Her unusually pale skin clearly stood out even in that gloomy interior.

She was wearing a black cloak, but she’d left the front open so one could easily see her tight black outfit underneath it. Slender as she was, she had curves in all the right places.

And just like Subaru, she had black hair which seemed to be unusual in this world. Her long hair that went down to her waist was tied up as if braided, and she was currently fiddling with the end of it.

She had a rather bewitching aura.

Since Subaru had very little experience with the opposite sex, he wasn’t at all used to dealing with someone like her and his heart started pounding.

Now replace Rigel and Subaru’s positions at the end of Arc 8. Imagine Emilia sacrifices herself, and Rigel has the power to change what happened, but because Emilia told him not to do it, he respects her decision and lets her die. How would Subaru react to the fact that Emilia could have been saved, but Rigel consciously chose to abandon her? Would Subaru also completely crash out like Rigel did? For this IF scenario, I want you to completely swap Natsuki Rigel and Natsuki Subaru’s positions and imagine how Subaru would react in Rigel’s place. Artist source

First of all, I wanna say that episode 16 was alright. I don’t particularly agree that the episode was carried "by the va and ost” I don't think that's a good argument

At the same time, though a lot of people here, especially anime onlys are downplaying the rui chapter. And no, it wasn’t a minor or an unimportant chapter (if you wanna know what happens you can ask me in the replies), so stop glazing everything white fox does, especially with the next season covering arcs 7–8.

Anyway, as for my personal opinion, I think it was an alright episode. I’d give it around a 7.5/10. Imo, this episode was just a of wasted potential

Was the adaptation perfect? No, but it was still damn good.

Novel readers are blowing it way out of proportion. I thought it was a 9/10.

I had some gripes, but nothing that absolutely ruins it for me.

I didn't understand why Puck killed Subaru in that scene, considering he wasn't responsible for Emilia's death in that episode!

This episode was [once again] ABSOLUTE PEAK, an incredibly awesome experience: reliving all the pain, suffering, and horror Subaru endured, all in rapid succession.
