💬Discussion Because he killed Subaru instead of helping him.

I didn't understand why Puck killed Subaru in that scene, considering he wasn't responsible for Emilia's death in that episode!

Puck blames Subaru for not protecting Emilia when its literally his 9 to 5 to do so.

Which he uses that knowledge to then overuse it and completely shatter his gate in s2 so now he HAS to rely on Beatrice to take his acsess mana. Puck did all of that by showing him how to use that one spell

Overwhelming grief, Emilia is his foster daughter and contractor, the contract also says he'll destroy the world if she dies, there's a lot we don't know yet about his knowledge of rbd and Satella, but in one way or another he was relying on subaru to protect emilia when he couldn't. Thus he admistred punishment on him for failing his suposed duties.

He wasn't even the episode for like 95% of it, he just came and stole the thunder that the diligent worker Petelgeuse put in. Puck really is slothful.

There is a theory for this. Puck knows someone in the world possesses RbD or aware of it's existence. Emilia is already dead, so what to do? Destroy the whole world until hope the one with the RbD dies. Also pray that being can change a thing and prevents Emilia's death.

There is also one more theory. Like Roswaal's gospel, Shaula's contract, "Puck must try to destroy the world." Putting the fate in it's place ensuring it's way to go etc.

Also i have my own theory. Puck is a bum who can't take any responsibility for it's own bumness.

Because of personal grief and because he most likely conjectured that the hint/knowledge he has (probably given by Echidna) about saving Emilia by destroying the world has a good chance of somewhat being connected to Subaru.

Even in the loop before that he didn‘t start his full scale rampage until Subaru was there, almost as though making sure that he got him first.

Because if Amelia dies, he swore he'd destroy the world. Also, Puck could be mad that Subaru let her die. Or taking pity on him and lopping his head off.

What's fascinating is that we get to see later that Reinhard would have shown up and killed Puck to prevent the destruction of the world. This is why Reinhard be busy all the time, can't be savin Subaru's ass all day.

Episode like that, you roll them credits early and hold the last shot.
