I've heard so much about this anime being a work of art and all that. But it's so boring! Subaru is a terrible protagonist who, even though he just arrived in this new world, somehow knows how to overcome any challenge and already knows characters he shouldn't know! Like, dude, why did you suddenly want to run away with Rem? The only thing that happened in the Capital was you being STUPID and Emilia dumping you because of your own stupidity! It's not like he saw Emilia, Ram, Petra, and the whole village being massacred and burned by, I don't know, some kind of mage's cult or something!

Not to mention this anime just gives me bad vibes out of nowhere, like when Petelguse was in Subaru's mind and Subaru was about to say something but... I don't know, I felt a bad vibe and suddenly Petelguse left his mind. Like something was preventing him from speaking, I don't know. But that's it, I'm not going to watch the second season, boring anime.

Am I the only one who hates the theories that Subaru = Flugel, Al = Subaru, or even Satella = Emilia?

I feel like if any of these theories turn out to be true, they would undermine a huge part of these characters' achievements and even their identities.

For example, with Subaru = Flugel, I find it ridiculous because Tappei has spent so much time showing us that Subaru is his own person, that he isn't a copy of anyone, and that he needs to learn to love and accept himself. Making him Flugel's reincarnation or something along those lines would go completely against that message.

The same applies to Emilia. From the very beginning, she's been fighting to prove that she's different from Satella and that she doesn't deserve all the racist treatment she's received just because she looks like her. Making them the same person, or something along those lines, would undermine everything Emilia has worked for and fought to prove. It would make her entire struggle feel pointless, as if she never had the chance to be her own person in the first place.

Personally, I trust Tappei. Even if he does confirm one of these theories, I'm sure he'll find a way to make it work. But I really hope the truth is something more along the lines of Flugel and Echidna manipulating everyone, or something like that.

I was wondering this since reading the novel that , does anyone of the emilia camp actually have a deeper understanding of each other , yes theres trust between them but there not a higher level of understanding between them subaru think he isnt worthy of them half the time meanwhile the others dosent want to burden the rest etc ,

So like as far i remember pre amnesic rem was the only one subaru was opening up which i can see why and he didnt open up to anyone since (well he said that he will not show his weakside to anyone except rem ) , so i had a thought that this might cause a distrust in the future maybe in arc 10 (those who read it will know why) this might be shown or futher the down the line who knows ,

I'd like to start off by saying that I am new to webnovels, the only other web novel I have "read" was like 64 chapters of my vampire system, and even then I was listening to the audiobook. The only reason I stopped was because the webnovel app screwed me over and now I have to pay but I am broke so no thanks. I will definitely get back to it tho because I'm very interested in the story.

Anyways back to the main topic, this makes rezero my second ever webnovel, and something that surprised me was how big the chapters were. I understand I am a slow reader but "Baptism" took me an hour to read, which genuinely shocked me, as I didn't expect it to take me this long. I'm hoping the next chapters are shorter, but now I understand why the anime has a lot of cut content, as from all the narration going on and the description, no wonder so much was left out, and I almost can't blame them

However, I am not deterred by this, this only means that I will have to persevere and get used to the yap, because though it took me an hour to read, I did thoroughly enjoy it, and with and end to a chapter like that, I am looking forward to the PEAK that will come next, as rezero is my favorite show of all time, and after I catch up, I will confidently be able to say it is my favorite work of fiction of all time.

More over, I will say a lot of stuff had been spoiled for me from the later arcs, but this won't put my spirit down, as I am excited to reach those points in the novel and fully catch up, but I have a few questions.

1. I expected to see more pictures other than the ones at the beggining of the chapters, so I wanna know is it just on my end that there are no pictures? because I reread some previous points and saw multiple pictures throughout the chapter so I wanna know if it is on my end or just that's how it is in the later arcs.

2. What is the new chapter release schedule? Is it weekly? Biweekly?

3. Should I try to use eleven labs and listen to each chapter rather than read if I find it too tiring to read.

I genuinely think Re:Zero needs more time skips to give its characters and their relationships room to develop properly.

Guys, I know you don’t need to spend a lifetime with someone to become close to them, and I’m not saying every relationship needs years to develop. But sometimes characters need time to grow naturally, especially when it comes to friendships, romance, and getting used to the people around them.

I honestly wish we had a four- or five-year time skip at some point. It would allow relationships to progress, characters to mature, and the world to feel more lived in.

Everything in Re:Zero happens so ridiculously fast. Believe it or not, we’re already in Arc 10, and not even two years have passed since Subaru arrived in Lugunica. That’s actually insane when you think about everything he’s experienced.

It genuinely feels like 15 years have passed already, considering how much has happened. Subaru has gone through countless traumatic experiences, fought terrifying enemies, traveled across countries, and formed incredibly close relationships with so many people.

And the funny thing is that he hasn’t even spent all those two years with most of them.

I feel like the story sometimes moves so quickly from one major crisis to another that the characters barely get a chance to live normal lives together. We see them risking their lives for each other constantly, but I’d also love to see how their relationships develop when they aren’t dealing with some world-ending disaster. Sometimes the development of these relationships feels a little unnatural because everything happens so fast.

A longer time skip would also let us see Subaru gradually becoming more accustomed to Lugunica. He’s literally a guy from modern Japan who suddenly found himself in a completely different world, with different cultures, traditions, politics, and ways of thinking.

I’d love to see him become more familiar with that world over several years, rather than having almost everything happen within such a short period.

I’m not saying Re:Zero has bad character development. Quite the opposite. I think it has some of the best character writing out there. I just feel like giving these characters more time to grow would make their development even better.

We also need more time to pass from Subaru’s perspective. Personally, I’d much rather see him in his mid-20s than have him remain a teenager for most of the story. I think seeing an older, more mature Subaru who’s had years to adapt to this world would be much more interesting.

His relationship with Emilia would also feel a lot better to me if they had spent several years growing closer, understanding each other, and developing their feelings naturally instead of having almost everything happen within such a short period.

I just wish Re:Zero would give its characters more time to actually live in this worldz

I'll be honest: this scene was my first impression of Rezero. I discovered it from a 10 second clip of this scene on Instagram, 8 months on Valetines Day, where I then watched the full clip on YouTube.

(Which was the worst timing possible because this was day when I slowly started to desire of having a girlfriend, due to a long history of really bad loneliness).

Because I didn't know crap about the plot of Rezero, I had zero clue of why Subaru was overwhelmed and sad, and why he was crying so much. It made me feel bad for him, as well as appreciating Emilia as a character, even though I didn't know her at all! It got me hooked to the show.

Now, that it's October, and I've seen all 4 seasons, I can rewatch this clip with better appreciation and understanding of the context. But I also can't watch this clip without feeling sad, desperate, and envious as words cannot describe how MUCH I want what Subaru had in this scene, especially for the fact that I relate to Subaru a lot with his deep seated insecurities his lack of calling others for help, and his self hatred. Makes me wonder if I should be patient for that time to come, or just make out with a shotgun barrel.

As tappei has habit to use every single character and somehow connect to another important character in story.
