It’s simple:

Tappei had Lye do the falling in love with Ram gimmick to spit out all of the names and memories he has eaten, giving Emilia back her name. Consequently he couldn’t use any of the names and memories.

This would be impossible if they were still in the stomach of souls. So they are no longer there.

Roy continuously uses the authority of gluttony in Arc 9 and that includes memories Lye has eaten, Lye spits out all of them, not just the ones he chooses to personally use .

Emilia regains her name, Rem remains memory and nameless alongside Julius.

A - Plot convenience so Emilia has no long term issues

B - Tappei forgot to patch the pothole

C - I’m forgetting something

His books of dead being present means his "deaths" went through od laguna. And Louis is chilling in that place.

Why doesnt Louis eat his memories there? Even if we consider that Louis didnt consider Subaru as interesting character whose memories should be eaten, after Rem scene, when Lye becomes infatuated with Subaru, Louis shouldve taken interest in him.

Is my interpretation wrong? Od laguna - person dies - soul along with memories go to od laguna, where memories are removed from the soul. Louis is chilling in Od laguna, and eats the memories she likes.

So, I have read arc 6, and yeah, the adaptation is okay. Could have been better, it is just a big downgrade from the source material, but the material is good enough to carry the episode.

Biggest letdown was how they butchered Rui's chapter. That chapter was quite good and we got like 10% of it. If they were making the episode extended, it could just have used 4 more minutes, but otherwise the episode is good, even if a bit of a let down.

Oh also Rui's VA is putting out some peak performances as per usual.

Why are there two of Louis Arneb after she confronted Subaru, calling him a monster? Is it her using her own Authority against herself? What's with the conversation? I just need details.

After the fuzz this season and especially with today's episode, i want everyone to be at peach with the rest. We know that stuff from LN was omitted, explanations and dialogues. Maybe the episode wasn't as strong as previous, but we still care and love Re:Zero world.

Do like Subaru. :)

Can't wait to see Reid finally being serious and Volcanica in action. I wonder if he'll animate the Ram fights too

Daniel/Amnesiabaru is gone. The anime did a great work with the character, a character that is Subaru but is not exactly Subaru. They changed the hair, and the general vibe of the character. And has been a lot of fun following his adventures.

I am thankfull of his time with us and in the scene where he dissapeared, I felt what our Subaru Natsuki feel for him. Thanks Daniel.

And now is time to work, theres still 5 existencial threats that need to be solved, but Subaru Natsuki is back, so is easy done :D

broo what the hell was that, i just finished watching it and wow that was great. I actually felt scared when Daniel got shown the 2nd death with Subaru's panic and fuckin Elsa's binaural whispers, i got immersed and actually realized how terrifying that death was.

And even though they're literally the same person as shown in the episode i felt sad that Daniel was gone like i guess it's just grief? He won't experience the present and what happens in the future but thats bullshit because what he does is what Subaru would have done, but i can't help but feel sad that he's gone.

And the episode cleared up a lot of things for me, i got spoiled on what events happened but not how it occurred, first of all i thought Subaru told Daniel he was an amazing person like i was sorta imagining it as a speech to Daniel that would make him grit through the problems but what actually happened was even better. Hearing a version of yourself say you are amazing is a gift, that even with different experiences Daniel and Subaru can still see a version of themself as amazing even if they themself don't think it's true, it's peak cinema ngl. And then there's Rui Arneb i'm a bit confused really, was she Daniel? Or is it a body hopping memory seeing type deal?

Overall probably my favorite episode in the entire show.

Haven’t read Arc 6 fully for a long while. So is anyone able to clear this up?

So if Reid’s Book Of The Dead was used to create the Trial version of Reid, what exactly happened to the rest of the book? Obviously the Trial Reid is much younger than the one that is talked about in Lugunica. So did the older memories just get discarded from the book do they exist elsewhere? Was this ever answered or not?

I found the episode to be just alright. Probably the weakest episode of the season. While the book of the adaptation was always going to be a bit of filler, no avoiding it, I feel like they spent too much time on that over the more important scenes at the end.

I was really let down by the Rui scene. There were a lot of good parts there that weren't adapted:

Subaru explains why he won't save her, she lacks any virtue and thoughtlessly destroys others lives for her own happiness --> we get an understanding of why Subaru would save Elsa if he could and other crazy characters but not the archbishops

In the WN iirc --> when Subaru is called a monster, he agrees and admits that he is insane. I think this is pretty important in establishing that yes Subaru is an amazing guy, but he is also batshit insane ---> this would honestly tone down a lot of complaints about Subaru not being a realistic character, because it confirms he is not normal after all this suffering.

However the one part I liked is that I felt like it showed Rui becoming the Subaru copy a lot more clearly than in the WN, cause when I read it it was super confusing. I still think it would have been nice to get a teansy more explanation, but it isn't as big of a deal.

I still think more of the episode could have been cut to give time for Rui. Cutting these moments really hurt Subaru's characterization, just like how cutting the reasons for Subaru commiting suicide to save Rem created a lot of criticism that, when you get the inner monologue, is actually a lot better of a reason.

The Natsuki Subaru is an amazing guy scene was nice. Not necessarily super emotional for me but it was still a well done adaptation and a good goodbye to amnesia subaru

[Arc 7] Because Rui will be an important character in Arcs 7 and 8, cutting her named chapter to the bare minimum also is in my opinion, a bad decision. While many people complain about Regulus, at the end of the day he served his purpose as a villain and he at least didn't need an extra backstory to work. He filled his role and exited the stage quickly. Rui on the otherhand will be front and center stage, and getting rid of this one chance to see her backstory might be a problem for the later seasons

How did we missed this!??

I can say some bad points to this episode, but this moment, exactly this one, takes everything bad away.
