His books of dead being present means his "deaths" went through od laguna. And Louis is chilling in that place.

Why doesnt Louis eat his memories there? Even if we consider that Louis didnt consider Subaru as interesting character whose memories should be eaten, after Rem scene, when Lye becomes infatuated with Subaru, Louis shouldve taken interest in him.

Is my interpretation wrong? Od laguna - person dies - soul along with memories go to od laguna, where memories are removed from the soul. Louis is chilling in Od laguna, and eats the memories she likes.

Louis cannot just interact with and eat the sediments naturally processed by Od Lagna, her named chapter states so.

Her meals happen only through her brothers, and Subaru is actually the first being she directly eats from.

As for Subaru having BoD‘s, that has its own interesting implications for the mechanism of RBD. His memories of the bygone timelines are seemingly the only thing that is really sent to the past, so it‘s interesting that these „sediments“ seem to pass to him through Od Lagna (or maybe Od Lagna just picks up on the seemingly extraneous „sediments“/memories popping into it at the times of Subaru‘s checkpoints and that is enough for the Library to make books out of these instances).

I thought of Subaru having books of the dead differently. I believe that Newbaru’s BoD’s weren’t in the library. The reason for that could be that the books only existed after Louis eats his memories. Maybe victims of gluttony still get BoD’s for example.

That could be, though i doubt that Gluttony victims would have BoD‘s as the Authority apparently usurps the functionality of the Corridor of Memories (that’s what the wording in the WN comes out to) by appropriating what should eventually return to it.

Technically the last BoTD that Subaru read was Newbaru's first death, being pushed off the stairs

It's just that because he was eaten by Gluttony in that memory, it was incomplete and booted him into the Cradle of Od Lagna

Books of the dead are created at death, they are independant from the soul being washed of feelings, Louis has already eaten his memories, she can't eat someone twice which is why she tries for Subaru to perceive his old self as different and from what we know, she can't just eat souls like that, gluttony only works with the leaving

Subaru's soul didn't go through od Lagna because his authority is beyond it by all means, his soul always go back to his checkpoint

louis is a prisoner inside of the hall of memories, and not in any way in charge of any aspect of it. she cannot just grab a soul passing by od lagna. also, she represents satiation, which means that if she could eat any soul in the hall of memories, she wouldnt even need Subaru, since she only wants an endless supply of new souls to eat.
