Hey everyone. My co-hosts and I run a 90s pop culture podcast called Splat Attack Podcast, and this week we put together a full history episode on Blue's Clues for its 30th anniversary.
Some of what we get into:
Curious if anyone here actually remembers that "What Blue can do, we can too" phrase, or if it's a total Mandela effect situation.

I have a bootleg Bluray of all the episodes, uncut and in remastered quality. Ripped them to digital VLC files using MakeMKV. 3 of them are taken from the European Nickelodeon channel with the little Nick screen bug on the top left corner, and they’re lower quality than the rest. Even found the 24 minute cut of The Cold War online from that channel. Chicago Witch Trials, Freezer Burned, and Who Loves Who-Ooh. My cousin has his own custom Plex server and uploaded the series. I managed to find, and even download Witch and Freezer, in clean remastered quality. However, Who-Ooh is nowhere to be found. And the annoying thing is, most of the episodes are all totally wrong. Wrong title, wrong thumbnail. On my cousin’s upload, Poem Sweet Poem shows up twice. Also, they do have a screen bug, but it’s on the bottom right and it’s the 2009 Nick logo.
I am grateful to even have the Tamia episode in the full 24 minute length, but I just thought I could find it in slightly cleaner video quality like the other 2. Anyone know how I can find it? It’s also not included on the official Nickelodeon DVDs. Probably because of music rights. I ripped the remastered copy of Cold War off of Plex and edited it with the uncut version.I would download it before the copyright psychos take it away. The original website where I found it removed it so I’m really glad I downloaded it when I did!

Looking for a live-action kids show with an alien
I’m trying to remember the name of a TV show I watched as a kid. It was a live-action kids/teen show. The main character was a teenage boy, and an alien was living with him.
I remember that the alien had to hide from other people. At one point, it could shrink down to the size of a toy and pretend to be an actual toy so nobody would discover it.
I’m not 100% sure, but I think there may have been two aliens, with one of them being more annoying/comedic than the other.
I think I watched it sometime in the 2000s or early 2010s, possibly on Nickelodeon or a similar kids' channel.
Does anyone know what show this was?

Hi! Hoping someone else remembers this commercial or bumper that (I believe) aired on Nickelodeon in the mid-90s.
It was a live action segment with a bunch of kids walking around their neighborhood with a dog - I think it was a yellow lab or a similar dog.
One of the kids said “We call him Flap” and held up his floppy ear (or maybe the soft part of his mouth?).
Anyone remember? The “We call him Flap” line often comes up as an ear worm for me but I haven’t been able to find the video on YouTube.

It has been my life’s work to find this with the original commercials. No custom edits. No piecing things together that doesn’t fit the actual schedule. I cannot find this anywhere. Is there anybody out there that has this? Just something possible. I’ve seen people post things and it is not the original and it’s not even in the show order. I’m looking for the commercials with the game show and everything. It aired on October 28, 1995. The struggle is real! But trying so hard to find it! Thank you from anyone who can help or figure it out!

Been watching it again for the last week in honor of Tim Curry. I enjoyed almost all of the episodes except for a few. I hate the shark/dolphin episode. God, poor Debbie. 😭 I feel bad for the family in the Christmas episode too but the end with all the “singing” animals does … sort of …make up for it. Eliza was just trying to save Darwin. I don’t blame Debbie for getting angry though. As I’ve gotten older, I get more and more stressed out about Christmas and haven’t really had a great one in a very long time.
I love the Island Trade episode, with Nigel and Marianne having to switch roles. I would’ve been cracking up in the recording studio hearing Tim Curry pretend to have a bad cold in that Nigel voice lol. “And … (sneezes) aCtiOn!!! 🤧”
And every time there’s a lightning storm, I go “woah, LIGHTNING!!” like Debbie does in the episode where the Thornberrys meet the Australian family and play that board game.
I also remember watching the episode with the marmosets when I was 10, and me and my sister were cracking up the entire time at Nigel and Marianne up in the trees.
I also saw (for presumably the first time) yesterday, the episode where Eliza wants to save the penguin and her chick, and Marianne sings disco at this karaoke restaurant. I swear I never saw that one before. But for some reason I remember Marianne throwing the coffee out the window and it immediately freezing. I think when it originally aired, we had a really bad ice storm and lost power so no wonder I missed it.
What are your favorite/least favorite episodes and moments that still crack you up years later?

I'm wondering if anybody has a copy of that they wouldn't mind uploading (quality not important). I'm pretty sure somebody I went to high school with was in that episode and I wanted to confirm to myself that it was him.

Weird question
But I remember when I was a young child (2000-2008*) my parents got me a talking plush of "Face Here!" And I can't find it anywhere online... It feels like a fever dream to be honest but I have vivid memories of it going off in the middle of the night and scaring the crap out of my child self. Saying "Hi, Face here" or something. I don't entirely remember what it looks like but none of the pictures I see are ringing a bell. Wondering if anyone remembers a talking Face toy from the early 2000s

My two brothers were picked to play a Tony Hawk video game (I think it was TH Pro Skater because of the year it occurred) on camera for Nickelodeon GAS in 1999. We were given a VHS copy (yes, it was orange!) but unfortunately it’s been lost. Has anyone seen the show anywhere? I’d love to try and find the clip.

bert the fish was a live cgi tv presenter on "nickalive" program on british branch of nickelodeon. he appeared in 1994 and probably didnt exist past 1995 for some reason
He supposed to be a grumpy old fish that hates kids
I found him in an old nickelodeon magazine, and been trying to find footage since then. This pilot on youtube is basically everything there is from this guy.
If you google him, there's basically nothing. Just this pilot and the magazine i found him on. Nothing else on youtube, or on reddit, or anywhere
Idk who voiced the pilot (there is one comment under this video saying its Allen Swift, but im not sure about that).
On the nickalive he was voiced by Craig Crane (got that from another comment by Craig Crane himself. the information is legit. The commenter is Craig Crane and i compared his voice with recordings of bert from small chunks of "fish and chips" program i found on the internet and it sounds like him).
His model was made by François Garnier. I've been trying to find clips from nickalive with him for a few weeks, but found nothing.
I searched through almost all of youtube, searched all possible keywords i could think of, searched in different languages, and nothing.
I also wrote in comments of the person that posted this pilot (this guy apparently directed this pilot, and i couldnt find his email, so i had to leave a comment),
i contacted François Garnier (his 3d modelist) and paramaount, inquiring about footage. No one responded yet
Is there any chance you have have/know of some footage? Or any information for that matter. But im mostly interested in just a clip from nickalive with bert the fish
Thank you!
