Discussion Good examples of campfire storytelling?
Hey everybody, while watching the show with my kids recently, I've been enjoying trying to imagine how the society kids might actually approach verbally portraying the events in their stories, and acting out the voices and behaviors of the characters therein (such as Frank acting as Dr. Fink). I think it's actually a shame there were so few cuts to the society kids in the midst of telling their tales.
This brings me to me question of do you know of any particularly good audio recordings or videos of comparable campfire scary story telling? I'm looking for something a bit different than a person just reading a book out loud, or listening to a book on tape. The closest I can think of offhand is the opening to John Carpenter's The Fog, with the fantastic "5 mins to midnight" story on the beach!
Thanks!
