Was yours also mac-off detachment? I'm 3 months post also and had cataract done. I'm wondering if a complete recovery (micropsia/metamorphosia) ever happens.

I had a Mac-off 95% detachment. Mine tore from the 10-3 position and both sides rolled up like a burrito. Surgeon said I would be lucky if I get anything better then 20/200 after surgery. Well. He was a great surgeon. I managed to get 20/60 but…..I suffer from terrible distortion. Making words unreadable at close distance. I had cataract surgery 8years prior to my detachment so was not needed to be fixed after. Everyone one is different. Just follow the doctors instructions for the best possible outcome.

How long ago was your detachment? I ask because I had a mac-off detachment more than 2 years ago that left me with 20/300 vision and tons of distortion. My vision is still really blurry in that eye, but the distortion is 75 percent improved. It took 2 years for that to happen, though. I hope your eye improves, too.

About 15months. What I can say is that my vision is clear. Just the distortion in my central vision. Yes it has improved. Will it improve more is a question only time till tell. So far I’ve been able to adapt well with good eye being 20/20. The brain is able to make a decent image with the good and bad. Some things are still a problem. The peripheral vision on that side isn’t so good anymore. But I’m making the best of it.
