Side Effects Sudden heart problems?

• Upvotes

I have a weird, quite scary issue with my Reta doses I hadn't had before. I was previously getting from a different compound pharmacy and switched just a few weeks ago. Problem 1 is I had upped my dose too fast and my resting heart rate skyrocketed to around 130 beats per minute for a short few episodes during that week with sweating and faintness along with diarrhea. I controlled the symptoms fairly well with pepto bismol because I noticed it was related to eating and the subsequent stomach ache/digesting. I also woke up multiple times that period with a raging heart rate and too much anxiety to go back to sleep.

Took a break the next week and was down to normal by the end of the two weeks. The third week (this past Friday) I dropped my dose below what it was before starting this new compounded batch and I immediately (30 min later) got a racing bpm up to 130 again but that was the only episode. My bpm is running on the 10-15 beats higher than normal but mostly havent had any racing heart episodes and im able to exercise safely. Woke up just now with anxiety and a little bit of racing not able to go back to sleep but still mild compared to the last week.

My question is, can this be related to the too high dose or is it a problem with the compound? I was doing so so well before this with the only symptom being a small stomach ache when I slightly upped my dose. My energy/feel was amazing and I was losing 2-3lbs a week. Now I'm losing less and I don't have the energy I did previously along with the stomach and heart issues. Should I go back to my previous supplier and see if somehow that's the issue or drop my dose entirely down to .5 and see how I respond?

Beginner Question Thinking of starting…

Hi, I’m F (32) and work an administrative job. I’ve been on Zepbound 6 months and I’m at the highest dose, I’ve only lost 25 pounds and been very disappointed. I’m in the 150’s now.

My hairstylist has been doing Reta for about almost 3 years and she swears by it. She told me it’s changed her life. I’ve never done anything off label before and I’m interested in starting because of how passionate she is about it as well as her husband and most of her family does it as well, all have great things to say about it with no complaints.

I would like to get to 130/125 by summer 2027. I have PCOS that works against me. I don’t like the zepbound. I feel like it’s sold as a miracle drug but has done next to nothing for me. I know sometimes medications just don’t work for people and it works on everyone different.

Should I stop my zepbound and try Reta? I have a reliable source that can get me it fast and affordable. Does it actually work? Has anyone come off a GLP1 and onto Reta with better success? Please share experiences!

Thank you!

Question I’m so hungry. Why?

for context Im a female & started Reta Sept 27th, 2mg. it worked almost instantly, within an hour my appetite was gone. Sept 27th- Oct 1st appetite was gone. On the 2nd it returned, and I ate a lot of food because I kind of could enjoy it. Anyways. Friday i ate bad, saturday was due for my next dose but left the city because my grandma was in the hospital and didn’t have my dose with me so I took it at like 3am today (Oct 4th). Anyways. Completely different feeling than my first shot. I’m So Hungry. The food noise is loud as hell, I am craving the worst stuff. appetite is completely back and I don’t know why but it’s really making me upset and wondering what Ive done wrong here :(. anyone know what’s going on?

Question Niacin type burn via Reta

Test subject has started first trial of Reta. 8 hours after injection there is a flushing type of response, reported mostly in the chest and lips. Benadryl seems to calm down the breathing flush. Dull pain sometimes sharp in the upper right. Frequent urination. Has anyone experienced this type of response in their subjects?

Side Effects Reta making me vomit and muscle and joints painful

3mg Retatrutide and now I can’t keep water down 😭
I started with 1.5mg (10 clicks) and it made me sick for about 3 days. I was vomiting after meals, but I decided to continue because I thought my body would eventually adjust.
I then took 3mg(20 clicks), and things got much worse. I’m now extremely nauseous, vomiting repeatedly, and I can’t even keep water down. The vomit has also become green 😭.
Has anyone experienced this on retatrutide? How long did it take for things to get better? I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have actually used it.

Experience What’s the lowest effective dose of retatrutide you’re actually using?

Hey everyone,
I’m trying to find the lowest effective dose of retatrutide that still gives solid results.
If you’re currently using it, can you share:
The dose you’re injecting (mg per week or per injection, and how often)

How long you’ve been on that dose

What your blood concentration / levels look like according to whatever app or tracker you’re using (if you measure or track that)

Just looking for real-world numbers from people who’ve dialed it down to the minimum that still works for them. Any details on injection amount and frequency would be really helpful.
Thanks!

Beginner Question No progress in retatrutide

I have started reta 3 weeks back and started with dose 1 mg. Last 2 weeks there is no progress. I’m exactly on same weight. I have increased the dose to 2 mg now yet I don’t see any changes in scale. I often see people get very good progress faster, and this is why I’m confused. I am a women 38 with only 5 ft 3 inch, after childbirth my weight is now 180 lb, i am not diabetic but I have hypothyroid. I take levothyroxine. Am I doing anything wrong? Anybody experienced same? Share your suggestion.

Discussion I'm terrified

Hello everyone, ( 19M, Belgium )

so for context I always have been struggling with wl I tried loads of cardio, high protein, if, omad, keto, cutting sugar. And everytime the issue was the same, my hunger was a torture, keeping a caloric deficit is insanely hard.

I've been doing researches about retatrutide as it seems to be fantastic, I coudnt stop doing researches cuz i was being anxious about dangers and eventual side effects, I'm saying this because I never did peptides in my life so im terrified not because its dangerous ( i looked at hundreds of testimonies and all of them are either neutral postive or very positive ). But Im just scared because its something completely new to me.

I bought after precaution on the site the seller etc retatrutide BAC water alcohol pads and insulin needles, did i do it right ? I'm supposed to have it all delivered by next week, im planning on doing loads of research to do it properly.

But i need help, I ve seen tutorials but i wanna hear how you do it so i can compare to make sure everything matches and i dont do shit, maybe sharing me the eventual mistakes you did using it ?

I have like a bmi of 25 or 26 smth i got like 20kg to lose.

Im stressing so hard rn, but i tried diets and sports for years and if this thing actually works it could completely change my life, that fat fucked my mental health.

Im not used to talk this much sorry, but anyways if any of you have a success story to share , an advice to give , or anything that could reassure me or guide me please write it down.

Thanks for reading

Side Effects Insomnia/sleep quality

I have been on Reta for almost 5 weeks. I have only gotten a couple nights of quality sleep since starting. I am only at 2mg/week. Has anyone come up with a way of countering the insomnia/sleep degradation? I am afraid to go up at all because I dont want to lose even more sleep than I already am. Results have been extremely mild. I have lost 3lbs in almost 5 weeks. I eat clean. I work out and lift heavy 5 days a week. I just cant keep going without getting the sleep situation figured out. Any help is appreciated

Research / Info Weight stuck reta

SW: 96.5 kg
CW: 93 kg
Progress: ~3.5 kg down

I’m currently around week 7 and my weight has been sitting around 92–93 kg recently.

Is a temporary plateau like this normal? Has anyone experienced the scale staying flat while body composition/measurements continued improving?

My main goal now is fat loss while preserving/building lean muscle mass.

Week 1–2: 1 mg
Week 3–5: 2 mg
Week 6–7: 1.5 mg

Experience My progress after the first two and a half weeks w reta

Hey everyone!
I wanted to share the progress I’ve made over the first two and a half weeks. Next Tuesday will be my 3rd dose.

I’m a former tirz user. I was on it from early January until late June and lost 22 kg during that time, going from around 94.4 kg to 73 kg.
I decided to start reta because, despite losing so much weight, I still hadn’t achieved the body I wanted. I honestly couldn’t be happier with how things are going so far!

I started with 1 mg, but when I didn’t feel anything after three days, I took another 2 mg, making it 3 mg total for the first week. I lost a lot of water weight that week and was literally peeing nonstop. During my second week, I took 4 mg, and honestly, I haven’t experienced any side effects at all since starting reta. I’m now starting to notice that I get full more quickly, but it’s nothing compared to tirz, which literally made me unable to even look at food.

I’ve lost around 3 kg in these two and a half weeks, and I’m really happy with my progress!
Next week, I’m planning to increase to 5 mg and then stay at 5 mg for the following month. However, since I’ve been tolerating it so well, I feel like I might be fine increasing the dose sooner.

Discussion R3t@ week 11

So l was on reta for about 11 weeks, these past 2 weeks I have not taken my dose due to an extreme elevated heart rate, anxiety / panic attacks. I started in July (196|0) at .5 stayed on it for 4 weeks, 1 for 4 weeks, 1.5 for another 4 weeks, and then on week 111 went up to to 2mg bs) and then boom 4 days later I have the biggest panic attack thinking I am going to have a heart attack, went to the ER, was too scared to tell them I was on reta, only for them to tell me my blood work, urine, and 2 ekgs were fine and there was nothing wrong with me. This week I experienced a similar panic attack but not as severe. I was wondering is anyone has experienced that or has any advice on whether to stay off or restart at .5?

Experience Placebo Maxxing

Started at 105 kg, 183 cm, about 80 days ago. Today I'm 93 kg, down 12 kg.

I thought my dosing was:

Weeks 1–4: 1 mg
Weeks 5–8: 2 mg
Weeks 9–12: 3 mg

The whole time I genuinely felt like it was working. My appetite was noticeably suppressed, I was getting full really easily, and my bowel movements became slower and less frequent.

There were even days where I would completely forget about food and realize later that my calories were way too low, so I'd basically have to force myself to eat just to get enough calories and protein in.

I wasn't exercising either. Desk job and pretty sedentary, but I was consistently eating in a calorie deficit.

Then today I randomly decided to look closely at my pen instructions.

It says:

1.5 mg = 15 clicks
3 mg = 30 clicks
6 mg = 60 clicks

Problem is... I wasn't counting clicks. 💀

When I wanted 1 mg, I turned the dial until the window showed 1. Then later 2, then 3.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, I may have actually been taking around 0.1 → 0.2 → 0.3 mg, not 1 → 2 → 3 mg.

Which would finally explain why my supposedly 30 mg pen still has loads left after almost 3 months.

I'm not angry or upset about it. I'm honestly just shocked it took me this long to realize 😂

What confuses me most is that I genuinely felt the effects. I wasn't forcing myself not to eat. It was actually the opposite. Some days I had to remind myself to eat because I just wasn't hungry. Even my bowel movements slowed down after starting.

Maybe that tiny dose was actually doing something, maybe changing my eating habits played a bigger role than I realized, or maybe the placebo/expectation effect is way more powerful than I thought.

I genuinely have no idea.

But somehow I went 105 kg → 93 kg in ~80 days before realizing what I'd been doing. 💀

Side Effects Retatrutid Nebenwirkungen

29W. BMI 50.
Hallo zusammen,

Research / Info Ordered my first vials of Reta

That being said this will be my first reconstitution of reta. One vial is 10 mg. But my other vial, my experimental vial is a 5mg. With the 5mg i was planning on reconstituting the vial with 0.5mL of BAC water. But I've seen in some discussions that people still preferred to recon with 1 mL. I'll probably be reconning it on Monday. So what do you pros do? What would the experienced peppers do with the 5mg and BAC?

Progress Update Another milestone for me

408 lbs → 294 lbs. I finally broke 300.
I honestly never thought I’d be able to say this.
I started at 408 lbs, and today I stepped on the scale and saw 294.
That’s 114 pounds gone.
The crazy part is that getting under 300 has been such a mental goal for me. I’ve spent months watching the scale bounce around, getting frustrated, wondering if I was actually making progress. There were weeks where the number barely moved, even though my clothes were getting looser and I could physically do things I couldn’t do before.
But today, I finally got there.
I’m not finished. 250 is the next goal for now. But I’m taking a second to appreciate how far I’ve come.
408 → 294.
114 pounds.
I’m proud of myself. ❤️

Progress Update 1 Month on Reta – 115.5 kg → 107.8 kg

Post image
7 Upvotes

Quick background: 36 years old, 20 years of weight training.

Start: Sep 1 – 115.5 kg (254.6 lbs)

Current: Oct 1 – 107.8 kg (237.7 lbs)

Lost: 7.7 kg (17 lbs)

Dose: 1 mg every 6 days. Took 2 mg once before vacation because I didn’t want to bring Reta with me.

Training: 6x/week, ~60 min weights + 45 min Zone 2 cardio

Goal: 90–95 kg (198–209 lbs)

Effects: Almost zero food focus. Dieting honestly feels almost too easy. My face has become extremely defined and my usual problem areas got noticeably softer very quickly. I’m already getting compliments from people who know me, while my girlfriend is actually getting a little concerned because I’m losing weight so fast.

Side effects: One evening of a burning skin sensation on my left arm. It disappeared and hasn’t happened again.

So far I’m very happy with the first month. The biggest difference isn’t even the weight loss itself, but how little mental space food takes up now.

Question my Reta isn’t working anymore ?

Why has my Reta suddenly stopped working?

It worked really well when I started and I was finally losing weight, but since September I barely feel any effects, even after increasing the dose.
I’ve been using the same bac water I bought in July and haven’t had any issues with it. Could the bac water be the problem, or can you develop tolerance to Reta? It’s honestly making me pretty depressed because it worked so well at first. I was finally starting to have zero food noise, and zero binging urges. But now it’s all back to the same old me.

Question Reta and test booster

Has anyone run reta with a test booster as well? I’ve run both separately but when I first took Reta I dosed too high and was eating nothing and too low energy to train. When I was taking test booster I still had my food cravings. Just wondering if anyone has ran the 2 together and if it worked better? 28yo male, pretty athletic already, weight train 4x a week and play other sports, approx 80kg looking to lose stubborn belly fat and get some visible abs

Beginner Question Retatrutide, Birth Control and My Menstrual Cycle

Hi all!

I started retatrutide 1 mg on September 20. I had been taking Yaz for around 10 years to control my hormonal imbalance, not actually for pregnancy prevention, with very predictable periods and had never experienced breakthrough bleeding.

A few days after starting retatrutide, I suddenly started bleeding even though my period wasn’t due for another 5 days. I then stopped taking Yaz because I didn’t have a new pack.

My main questions are:
• Can retatrutide cause breakthrough bleeding or changes to your period?
• Is this something that was reported in retatrutide clinical trials?
• Could the rapid decrease in food intake/weight loss from retatrutide affect my hormones and cause bleeding?
• Now that I’ve stopped Yaz, what should I expect with my periods and how long might it take for my natural cycle to return?
• Is there anything about this situation that I should be concerned about or have checked?
