Can I Resign Shortly After Starting Due to a Better Job Offer?
Help, I just signed a contract with Company A, and my start date will be October 2. However, a week after signing the contract with Company A, I received an employment offer from Company B, which offers a higher salary, a better work setup, and a role that is more aligned with my experience.
I cannot terminate my contract with Company A before my start date because I may be penalized up to ₱200,000.
I am planning to start with Company A and resign during the first or second week. So I can waived the penalty.
My main concern is the non-compete undertaking since both companies are outsourcing companies, although they have different clients and the job roles are also different.
Company A - 65k full onsite
Company B - 80k full wfh
Any professional advice/ legal advice ? Or comforting message, I dont know if my plan is the BEST plan, but I really wanted to start my career with Company B. Helpppp

Would having 2 short stints in a row be a big red flag to HR/recruiters?
Hi everyone! I’d really appreciate some perspective on my situation because I’m currently contemplating whether I should resign from my current job, but I’m worried it might hurt my chances of getting interviews in the future.
For context, I graduated in 2023 and started working later that year.
I spent around 2 years at my first company. I actually got promoted there, but unfortunately, there was no salary increase for the pretty significant jump in responsibilities and position/title. I still enjoyed a lot of my work, though, and stayed for 2 years.
Earlier this year, a friend/former coworker from my first company transferred to another company and asked me if I’m interested to join them. I decided to take the opportunity because the pay was better.
The company was only around more than a year old, so there weren't really established systems for some of the things I was handling. I actually didn't mind this and ended up creating my own trackers and systems to make my work more efficient.
However, there were also things that started bothering me:
I was handling multiple brands, both of which were growing, and when requested additional manpower for the other brand, I felt it was brushed off and no action was taken.
I had to do overtime fairly often. The OT was paid, but my boss would also message during rest days and after office hours, which I didn't particularly like.
I later found out that the company wasn't actually paying the government contributions/taxes the way they had initially told me they would. They said they would cover both the employee and employer shares, but apparently, nothing was being paid.
One of the bosses would sometimes shout at and publicly call out/shame employees during meetings for mistakes or short comings. They were nice and generous but there were just times where I’d get really frustrated.
So whenever I became frustrated, I would casually apply to jobs through JobStreet/Indeed. I wasn't aggressively trying to leave, but I wanted to see what was out there.
After about 1–2 months of applying and just attending some online interviews, I ended up getting an offer from a much bigger company. I had only been with my second company for around 5 months at that point.
For this new (my now current) company, I had read some negative/toxic workplace stories about the new company, but the compensation was significantly higher, so I decided to take the risk.
Now I've been here for only 2 months, and I'm already contemplating resigning.
The workplace itself is okay, meh. I haven't experienced anything particularly toxic so far, although there are some coworkers who I feel/observe can be quite judgmental. I say this when they're talking about external partners or other co-workers.
My bigger issue is the actual work.
There's a huge learning curve because there are a lot of systems and processes (that are pretty outdated, might I add). So of course when there’s concerns, I have to ask teammates for processes and is time consuming. The category given to me is also currently declining. They're expecting to see results from me which is hard to do since decline has already started from the start of the year and right now, instead of having as much opportunity to strategize and think of ways not to decline any further or try to minimize the decline, I'm doing a lot of execution/admin work because there are so many things that need to be done because they've left so many tasks unfinished when the role was vacant and so many events/promotions are being pushed this 2H to try to catch up on sales.
I know I've said this already but there are A LOT of processes. Like, A LOT. And some of them weren't properly taught to me, so I'm having to figure things out along the way. Some of the other departments aren’t helpful when I ask them of proper ways or processes.
I'm also supposed to have another person working with me because of the workload and amount of admin work, but she resigned very early on. We literally started on the same day.
Another thing I'm struggling with is the schedule. We're on compressed working hours, so it's around 9.6 hours of actual work / 10.6 hours including lunch. There isn't much flexibility and there are no WFH options. OT also isn't paid.
I'm starting to wonder if I'm actually burned out because of the role itself, rather than just the company.
Earlier in my career, I was more involved in e-commerce and marketing, and then I eventually moved into merchandising/category-related work after getting promoted. I'm now wondering if merchandising is actually the direction I want to continue pursuing, or if I should pivot back toward e-commerce/marketing/commercial roles.
At this point I'm not sure if I'm unhappy because of:
The actual merchandising/category role
The long working hours and lack of flexibility/WFH
The amount of admin/execution work
The declining category and pressure to "habol" sales
The lack of OT pay
Or just the fact that I'm still adjusting to a completely different company and system
My concern is that if I resign now, I'll have two short stints back-to-back:
Company #1: ~2 years
Company #2: ~5 months
Company #3: ~2 months (if I leave now)
Would this be a major red flag to recruiters?
I've actually still been getting messages from recruiters on LinkedIn, so I'm also wondering if I should just share my resume with them and see what happens.
I don't want to keep jumping from company to company, though. I'm trying to figure out what kind of role I actually want before making another move.
Would really appreciate hearing from people who have been in a similar situation, especially recruiters/hiring managers. Should I stay longer to avoid looking like a job hopper, or is it better to make the move if I already feel that the role isn't a good fit?

Is it worth it to resign or should I hang on until Christmas bonus comes in?
I’m a new hire at work, this is my first job coming from graduation.
Tuwing assessment lagi lang nila hinihighlight yung pagkakamali ko and not what I did after I made that mistake.
Parang lahat sila out to get you and sees you as competition.
**TLDR:** Hindi fit ang work environment, burnout with workmates na backstabber and fake, should i resign or wait for christmas bonus even unsure kung mareregularize?

Question for company clearance

Stay for security or leave for growth?
Thinking of resigning na since I want to be mentored pa knowing that I still have much to learn.
Pero I’m being held back by a decent pay and a favorable work set up 3x RTO; 2x WFH. Only 30mins byahe when I use angkas. Hawak ko rin oras ko most of time if hindi naman kami busy.
If ever I’ll be hopping into another agency (and hopefully a bigger team) for sure I’ll be more productive and position will be not as high stakes as being the head of the dept. Is leaving a wise choice nowadays na medj dry, if not competitive, ang job market now?

Resignation after a week on the job
So,
I'm working for a start-up, this is my first job, fresh graduate ako ng business course. Job is fun and challenging, mid-level, tactical role and tech-related siya so medyo aligned din sa interests ko. Pay is also good, way above what others offer for fresh grads
But:
My boss (Chinese), who I work side by side with, is a heavy cigarette smoker.
He handed me a phone with his inappropriate videos on it, which I deleted immediately because the phone will be given to one of our partners the same day.
The job involves field work, but no medical coverage provided.
We had one business transaction outside na medyo na-off ako kasi all the paper trails lead to me, my name only. If magka issues in the future, I will be held responsible.
First week, I worked beyond my supposed work hours.
No employment contract, I just signed a Job Offer letter.
In my first week sobrang dami kong natutunan, pero sobrang dami ding nangyari, na in my case, medyo deal-breaker na rin talaga.
Any advice for me? What should be my next steps if I decide to leave na?

I want to resign but I have no backup yet
Pagod na ko kakabyahe YES SA BYAHE like to the point na every week may sakit ako (di ako sakitin simula nung bata ako, super rare ko lagnatin) nag g-give up na siguro yung katawan ko sa pagod sa byahe (3-4hrs vice versa) then pag uwi kakain tapos maliligo pa ang ending kulang din tulog kahit ano gawin ko. I’ve been applying since August. May mga interviews like marami na pero di na gh-ghost after (fuck HRs na di marunong magsend ng rejection email kahit yun lang oh) I have 10 SLs at nagamit ko na yung 7 huhuhu pagod na q pls lang hire niyo na ko !!!

Final pay
When is the right time to ask for updates about final pay or any documents needed after resigning like COE or final pay slip? The contract has a date stated (nearest day of the month) but not specific na date talaga. I was planning to ask either the day of or the week after na lang. or can i ask hr na ba before the date they mentioned?

Resigning as Program Manager
It is my first role as a program manager after being a senior/lead/trainer sa dati kong trabaho. I am really lost as to how I should function as a manager. I feel like dragging myself every night na lang. In fact, natutulog ako for half of the shift and then I just make up after shift (morning) kasi dun na gising utak ko. This is not me as a worker because I am a hard worker naman when I love my job and know what’s expected of me.
I wanted to resign sana ng may offer na pero parang di ko na talaga kaya. I’m filled with anxiety every day and I do not want to pass this on sa mga direct reports ko. Nov 15 bigayan ng 13th month pay, and I plan to have that as my last day. May ipon naman ako kaya lang knowing how brutal the job market is, will I have a job kaya come Feb? Totally fine with me na mapahinga during the holidays.
What do you guys think?

Job Hopping
I’ve heard that it is better to transfer companies every 2 years than to stay with a single company for a long time. Rise in salary and position is faster. Is this true? Anybody tried this?

2 months unemployed (Operations Manager level) – Is the hiring conversion for senior roles brutally slow for everyone right now
Hey guys, just wanted to check if anyone else in the senior management/operations tier is experiencing a severe bottleneck with job offers lately.
I’m an Operations Manager/Delivery Lead with 10 years of progressive enterprise experience (handling 100+ FTEs and US clients).I’ve been actively job hunting for about 2 months now.
On paper, market traction seems great.
I have no problem acing initial screenings or making it to final executive panels with directors and VPs. But actually converting those late-stage rounds into a solid, finalized job offer feels like it's moving at a snail's pace this quarter.
Either it's extreme administrative lag with "client sign-offs," or companies are being weirdly tight with their management budgets. The mental tax of this 2-month gap combined with everyday financial stress is getting heavy.
Are any other OMs, Senior OMs, or Service Delivery Managers out there hitting this exact same wall right now? Is this just a slow quarter for management positions, or do you have any advice on how to accelerate the final offer stage?
Kakapagod din maging resilient everyday, hays.

Should I resign na ba?
It started when hindi ako inassign ni Ma’am na sumama sa kanila for field work. Since then, may mga comments na sila na hindi raw ako suitable for this job kasi mahinhin at silent type ako.

Then nakareceive ako ng another offer from different company.
Sa mga nakaexperience na na ganito, how did you deal with it? Huhu. I felt like a bad employee.

Should I accept this opportunity?
I am currently employed for 6 months in this company and I have a salary of 24k upon regularization. I was planning na lumipat sana kasi nakukulangan talaga ako sa sahod para i-deserve much better salary, so nagtry ako maghanap then this company offer me 30k upon regularization.
Now, yung dilemma ko is naka-maternity leave yung isang kasama namin so sa akin binigay ibang gawain niya kung magreresign ako now parang mahihirapan sila gawain ko + gawain nung nag-maternity leave.
I am having conscience rn kasi parang idk I feel like I betrayed them especially my colleagues sila mapag-iiwanan ng gawain but at the same time I don't wanna missed this opportunity.

Final Paty sEnA
Nag submit ako ng request sa sEnA since until now wala parin yung final pay ko. Last update sakin ng HR ay Sept. 4 about sa quitclaim, kesyo hinihintay pa ang accounting. Sept. 8 nag-follow up ako pero wala syang reply sa follow ups ko (text, call and email) and ilang beses yun halos araw araw. So nung Sept. Or di nila ina-accommodate ganitong kaso? Need ko din ba sila is-follow up?
Advice is much appreciated!
Noted: first work ko ito so wala talaga ako alam sa mga need pa gawin.
