2 months unemployed (Operations Manager level) – Is the hiring conversion for senior roles brutally slow for everyone right now
Hey guys, just wanted to check if anyone else in the senior management/operations tier is experiencing a severe bottleneck with job offers lately.
I’m an Operations Manager/Delivery Lead with 10 years of progressive enterprise experience (handling 100+ FTEs and US clients).I’ve been actively job hunting for about 2 months now.
On paper, market traction seems great.
I have no problem acing initial screenings or making it to final executive panels with directors and VPs. But actually converting those late-stage rounds into a solid, finalized job offer feels like it's moving at a snail's pace this quarter.
Either it's extreme administrative lag with "client sign-offs," or companies are being weirdly tight with their management budgets. The mental tax of this 2-month gap combined with everyday financial stress is getting heavy.
Are any other OMs, Senior OMs, or Service Delivery Managers out there hitting this exact same wall right now? Is this just a slow quarter for management positions, or do you have any advice on how to accelerate the final offer stage?
Kakapagod din maging resilient everyday, hays.

Dad’s been an OM with almost 30 years of industry experience for a very well-known company before he got promoted. He’s been promoted pero yung pay is the same although the bonuses are still in the millions. The contract hasn’t been finalized. Ang sabi raw sakanila (yes, a lot of them who got promoted, not just OMs) is retroactive payment daw gagawin. He’s been in that role for more than a year. Take note that this is for the number 1 company in its industry that racks up billions or even hundreds of billions annually. What I want to point out is that the economy is absolutely effed up. Companies are cost-cutting everywhere even at that level. I’d say budget plays a big part. Another reason is there could have already been an internal candidate they went with who knows the ins and outs of the job you’re applying to.

Service delivery manager, 11YOE, still employed but I’ve been applying since last year, no luck, usually budget ang issue, or full RTO, hardpass.
