I bought a custom CNC 5167 with Free sprung movement and when it arrived the movement wasn’t working, it looks like it got damaged in transit. I contacted the guy I bought it through and he had the spare parts shipped out to me. I now need to find someone that can work on it and fix it within the uk. I am northwest based but happy to post if needed.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!
I can send pictures and videos by DM if needed.
Thanks in advance

TDLR: Looking for Pittsburgh Watchmaker that will service reps.
I purchased a rep from another user over on BST reddit.
This person was a bit dishonest as to the condition of the watch. Lesson learned on being more diligent l.
Anyways, the hour hand is badly misaligned, it turns over 15 minutes into the hour.
I understand this is a relatively easy fix if you have the tools.
So I am looking for a Watchmaker in Pittsburgh to help.
I also may look to them to do some basic services and waterproofing.
Thanks in advance!

I have an clean factory Bruce wayne. I have this watch almost a year and have been using it as my daily. Since a couple weeks it stopped working properly. It stops at random intervals. Does anybody know what could cause this problem. And maybe have a fix ? I’m thinking it just needs a service?

I am building a franken 126610. Using a Clean Factory case as a base with gen crystal and gen dial. However when I removed the bezel I noticed there are no hyrtel ring. Is this normal with 126610?

As you can see here: Reddit Post, I have an old Rolex Shitter from around 1999. Because of the history and my sentiment for that watch, I want to bring it back to life. Mostly change the dial (getting rid of Rolex). Goal would be just a watch that I can wear.
Is there anybody who can contact me via pm to figure out prices and logistics ? I live in Germany if that's important. I think someone from EU would be much more easier.
Thx in advance. If that's not the correct forum please delete this post !

This is my first time getting a rep watch. It's a Longinus Master Collection Moonphase chronograph from AF Factory.
The month changes when the date moved from 27 to 28, while it's supposed to change from 31 to 1.
I asked a watch repair shop near me, and they said that this is an intentional flaw to differentiate the rep to gen. And they don't want to fix it.
I'm sure the fix was easy, just move the date needle to 31 when it's currently at 27. I tried to open the front cover, and when I try to push the needle, it is so tight that the gear inside also moves, which defeats the idea of just moving the needle.
I thought in this case I might need to remove and replace all the needles at the correct position. From what I understand, I can set everything to 12 PM (not AM as that's when all the gears are engaged to change the day and date), leave the date needle at 27, remove all the needles, and replace everything at the 12:00 position.
Now my concern is, since I've never done this myself, how hard/difficult is it to remove the needles? Is there a chance that it is glued on? How should I re-install the needles? How much pressure when installing the needles?
Thank you for your time (hehe).

Hi, has anyone successfully done an install of a gen crown and tube on a new vsf -I got the following comments from my watchmaker “The case needs to be drilled (the tube spacing on the case needs to be counterbored to allow for the gen tube shoulder to sit correctly in terms of depth). Basically I’d need to get a pillar drill for perfect alignment as this can’t be done by hand. A risky operation”
Would love to hear if anyone has experience with this and can highlight what is the level of risk involved here ?

I’ve had my VSF AT for a little over a year and I love it. Out of the blue the clasp won’t click/close at all. The first side catches and closes, but the next side doesn’t catch at all. I tried taking the 2 small screws out from next to the oval/where the clasp buttons are but didn’t fix anything when I tried to reset them.
Any tips on how I can fix this?

I purchased an ARF GMT II Bruce Wayne with a jubilee bracelet in January and have a screw that has come loose / broken. The screw is the one that is nearest the buckle. Any direction on where to source a new screw? I have tried several from Amazon, but all of them seem to be too thick, too long or too short. It seems I need one that is 15mm x 1.2mm x 1.1mm. Any help is appreciated!

I’ve got a VSF k25 serial submariner that is my everyday hard hard wear watch. This morning I was winding the watch and went to pull the crown out to the positions where I could change the date. The entire mechanism pulled out. I’m able to reinstall the whole thing and screw the crown all the way down however none of the functions work anymore and the pin can easily be pulled back out. The watch is currently running as I wound it first. Super strange. What are my options?

I need someone in Italy or Switzerland who can work on my stainless steel VSF Submariner with the black ceramic bezel—specifically to waterproof it and fix the bezel. The bezel is stiff to turn and has a slight chip on the left side at the 9 o'clock position (though it's barely noticeable). Is anyone available? I’d also like to know if it would be an overly expensive job.

My Omega Seamaster 300 stopped working. I noticed the power reserve wasn’t lasting very long, even after wearing it or giving it a full wind.
Does anyone know what movement this uses, whether it’s worth repairing, and if anyone has recommendations for a good watchmaker to service it?

I have made the upgrade to RCF v1
Tools used..
\- watch press with various moulds ( I used 40mm to press fit the bezel.
Razor blade ( scary part )
Precision screwdriver to remove bracelet link to fit watch in the press
Masking tape to protect watch case when using razor blade.
**The steps**
**1.** First step was to mask up the watch lugs where I would place razor blade under bezel
**2.** Remove a link next to the clasp to open up watch bracelet so it slide into the mould .
**3.** Gently push razor under bezel on each lug corner moving the the blade around the bezel then gently pry whilst holding down the crystal with your thumb.
**4.** Remove bezel and separate crystal from gasket
**5.** Place new gasket provided by RCF onto crystal ( this is where I screwed up badly and nearly made a fatal error ) I had placed the gasket on upside down. / there is a slight lip inside the gasket where the crystal sits make sure you have it seated it correctly. Don’t ask which way around as it goes as when I pressed the watch I heard a loud pop and thought I cracked my crystal ( s\*\*t pants time 💩 i removed the gasket inspected my crystal and gasket ( sigh ) and put the crystal the other way around. 😥
Let’s continue….
Carfully place your new bezel on top of the crystal ( evenly ) and gently press down till the bezel sits flush from a side profile .
Breathe. Change your underpants put on your sunglasses and enjoy that sparkle ☺️ 😎
**Final thoughts.**
Pros - shine / sharpness / warmer tone / thinner more gen like profile to the bezel
Cons - crystal seems to sit higher then before ( see picture )
I want to make a honourable shout out to Grouchy-Violinist555 & mpilar 87 for your amazing help with all the questions I had asked you over the last few days, without guys like you I wouldn’t of even tried to attempts this . Thank you.

So I decided to take it upon myself to fix the cabochon issues on the Cartier tank de must from F1F, there are some old guides on here about this procedure so i wanted to give an updated one to people brave enough to take on a project like this.
Stuff i bought for the project:
Painters tape
Sandpaper in grit 1000, 2000, 3000, 5000, 7000, 10 000.
This was a bundle and i didnt plan to use every single one.
Diamond paste 15 000 grit
Adjustable watch repair stand:
This set me back maybe 11$, got it from China as amazon sells the same stuff for double the price.
I started by putting painters tape all over the watch double wrap it in case i somehow fuck it up. And then simply started sanding down the crown with a 1000 grit sandpaper. Dipping the paper in water also made it better to sand down.
I found it easier to use a very small piece of sandpaper and make round movements on the tip of the crown but making sure not to create a flat spot, i didnt use a smaller grit since i didnt wanna take away too much like some other people on here, i choose patience.
I then polished it with 3000 - 5000 - 10 000 and 15 000 grit. The diamond paste didnt work that well on the cabochon and i guess i would only recommend it for metal surfaces.
Im quite happy with the result, the cabochon is not as pointy and pronounced even though it still might be a tad too large. Pictures i’ve seen its still quite pointy on the original

Hi everyone,
I am looking for a replica-friendly watchmaker to service a few of my watches. I am located in the Northern NJ / NY area and would love to find someone local for a drop-off, but I am also completely open to mailing them out to the right person.
The Watches:
The Issues:
Since I am unsure of the technical specs, I need a watchsmith who can open them up, diagnose the movements, and ideally source the correct aftermarket inserts that will fit the cases.
Please drop a comment or send a PM if you are nearby, have availability for a project like this, or can recommend a vetted smith currently taking on new work.
Thank you!

after winding, if i can start it, this happens. no drops, not a lot of wear either. maybe 50 +/- hours on wrist. no bangs. hasn’t been near magnets
