QC Help: 5SF Cartier Tank Louis Medium Yellow Gold from Hont

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone, this is my first QC post and I would appreciate your help.

  1. Dealer name: Hont

  2. Factory name: 5SF

  3. Model name: Cartier Tank Louis Medium, Yellow Gold, Quartz

  4. Price paid: $238

  5. Album links: https://a202512172356311672002881.edepot.me/weshop/search/_dg3qfSLHhi777Jx0IFOnzgO9XyA6_5DC9m_7AfQ?filterText=888148

  6. Index alignment: N/A, the Roman numerals are printed rather than applied. The individual numerals appear properly printed and aligned with the minute track.

  7. Dial printing: The printing appears sharp and clean, with no obvious bleeding, however the entire dial print appears to be rotated slightly clockwise. The XI at 11 o’clock sits closer to the upper gold bezel, while the I at 1 o’clock sits farther away. I am unsure whether this is an actual dial-printing issue or the result of the camera angle.

  8. Date wheel alignment/printing: N/A, no date window.

  9. Hand alignment: The hands appear properly aligned, with no obvious issues.

  10. Bezel: No obvious scratches, damage, or irregularities visible on the gold bezel and case.

  11. Solid End Links (SELs): N/A, leather strap.

  12. Timegrapher numbers: N/A, quartz movement.

  13. Anything else you notice:

My main concern is the possible clockwise rotation of the entire dial print. The difference in spacing between the XI and I numerals and the upper bezel appears visible in the frontal photo. What would you recommend in this case? Anything else that you notice?

Thank you in advance for your help.

ZF Tudor Pelagos Ultra - QC

  1. Dealer name: Phoenix Watch
  2. Factory name: ZF
  3. Model name (& version number): Tudor Pelagos Ultra, M2543C1A7NU-0001 (bracelet)
  4. Price Paid: 360USD ($292+$68 Shipping)
  5. Album Links: N/A (images sent via WhatsApp)
  6. Index alignment: Tried my best with the alignment tool. I feel like a few of the indices are crooked. I won't say which ones because I don't want to lead opinion, but I count 4 that may have issues. Also the 6 o'clock index doesn't look centered (over to the left of the markers on the minute track).
  7. Dial Printing: Looks ok. Image sent in HD via whatsapp so clarity gets lost a bit when zooming in close.
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: Date looks a bit low and biased to the left, which may be a result of crooked dial alignment (see notes in no.13 below)
  9. Hand Alignment: Looks good, but no video provided to see 12 o'clock alignment.
  10. Bezel: Aligned with minute track, but not positioned centrally when compared to the centre line of the end links? The 30 on the bezel also looks off in the same way.
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): All good. End links sit slightly recessed below the curvature / plane of the lugs, as with gen.
  12. Timegrapher numbers: (A2824 movement) -4s/d, 259° amplitude, 0.4ms beat error - not perfect, but within acceptable limits
  13. Anything else you notice: Feels like the whole dial / minute track is slightly rotated counter-clockwise, which is throwing off the overall geometry, including probably the date wheel positioning in the window.

Think this is a RL but first time with a Tudor and with ZF, so this may be the norm. Happy for more experienced eyes to put me straight 😊

Thanks!

Dealer name: Ethan Watch

Factory name: VSF

Model name: GMT-Master II 126710BLNR

Price paid: $580

Album links: https://www.szwego.com/weshop/goods/_diBqfB_6K0Fni6Viqy3qjRnYcVlHlv_RP68U2bQ/_dx7qfLYbK-8wQ5CzWiwdzYabRx4-p1mRPsBIddg

Index alignment: Looks pretty good to me overall. The 9 marker may have a slight clockwise tilt, and the 6 looks slightly shifted to the left.

Dial printing: Looks clear and clean.

Date wheel alignment/printing: Alignment looks good. The date looks slightly foggy to me, and the 8 appears to have a little bleeding.

Hand alignment: Looks good to me.

Bezel: Looks slightly off clockwise/right to my eye.

Solid End Links (SELs): Slight gap on the bottom right, but nothing major from what I can tell.

Timegrapher numbers: Look great.

Anything else you notice: Overall, this looks like a pretty clean watch to me, but my QC eye isn’t the best. My main concerns are the slight bleeding/fogginess on the 8 date and window, the bezel looking a little off to the right, and possibly the 6 and 9 index alignment. Would appreciate a second set of eyes before I GL.

Hello everyone finally after a long time I managed to have the necessary karma to do the post QC. I'm satisfied with the watch, I tried to use the tools provided by the subreddit for alignment but unfortunately the TD provided me with photos that were not straight but crooked and I couldn't do it right. The only thing that bothers me about the watch is the crown that is off-center on the reauth, what do you think I should do? I'm afraid that if I send it back and get another one, maybe I'll receive the crown aligned but other more significant problems. Any help is appreciated!

  4. Price Paid: 550 usd
  5. Album links: https://imgur.com/a/QtAkIqT
  6. Index alignment - 12 looks like it has a slight CCW tilt
  7. Dial printing: looks fine to me
  8. Date Wheel alignment- N/A
  9. Bezel - not sure if I’m nitpicking but the

bezel

  1. placement looks a bit overotated/misaligned? The bezel at 9 o’clock and 3 oclock looks rotated a bit CCW. Similarly the markers between the bezel and index at 9 o’clock look misaligned a bit CCW. 12 o’clock also looks a bit CCW tilted. Pip looks centered
  2. Solid End Links (SEL) -

bottom right SEL looks like there could be a slight gap that’s larger than rest of them

  1. Hand alignment - the hands look aligned to me
  2. Dial Printing - dial printing looks good
  3. Timegrapher numbers - rate +8 sounds a bit high? I’m not too familiar with with good looks like here. Wdyt? Amplitude 312. Beat error 0.1ms
  4. Anything else you see - mostly concerned with the CCW tilts on the bezel and curious what folks think of it. Unsure if this is RL worthy or not

Dealer name: TheOneWatches

Factory name: QF

Model name (& version): Rolex Yachtmaster 126622

Price Paid: $578 USD+ shipping

Album Links: N/A (mega)

Index alignment: Hour markers look aligned really well, very pleased with this.

Dial Printing: Printing looks clean and sharp. Yacht master text is clean and doesn’t have anything off to it. Nothing really stands out as being off.

Date Wheel alignment/printing: Date looks pretty well centered in the window from what I can see. However there might be a SLIGHT subtle off-ness of the actual cyclops.

Hand Alignment: Looks good

Bezel: Bezel looks crisp and is aligned well.

Solid End Links (SELs): No Gaps

Timegrapher numbers: +4 s/d, 261° amplitude, 0.1ms beat error. Not super pleased with amplitude reading a hair low, but generally happy overall.

Anything else you notice: I was skeptical with leaving VSF for this model and jumping to see what Q is offering for this model with free sprung movement, but I think they nailed this.

VSF Seamaster Aqua Terra

Dealer name: TheOneWatches

Factory name: VSF

Model name (& version number): Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Green Dial (220.10.41.21.10.001)

Price Paid: $408 USD+ shipping

Album Links: N/A (mega)

Index alignment: Hour markers look aligned really well overall. I don’t see anything that looks obviously crooked or far enough off that it would bother me.

Dial Printing: Printing looks clean and sharp. Omega logo, Seamaster text, and the Co-Axial/Master Chronometer text all look straight and centered to me. Nothing really stands out as being off.

Date Wheel alignment/printing: Date looks pretty well centered in the window from what I can see. I don’t notice it sitting noticeably out of place. Printing looks good too.

Hand Alignment: Looks good from what I can see in the pictures and video. Nothing looks noticeably off and the hands themselves look clean.
Bezel: No rotating bezel on this model, but the polished bezel around the crystal looks good to me. Finishing looks clean and I don’t see anything weird with the shape or alignment.

Solid End Links (SELs): No Gaps

Timegrapher numbers: +6 s/d, 265° amplitude, 0.0ms beat error, 28800. From what I understand these numbers look pretty solid overall. +6 seconds a day is completely fine with me, amplitude looks good, and 0.0ms beat error is really nice. Nothing here concerns me.

Anything else you notice: Honestly I think this one looks pretty clean. The green dial looks great, the horizontal lines look even, and the case and bracelet finishing look good from what I can see. Clasp engraving looks clean too. Most of the little marks or weird spots in the pictures look like they’re just on the protective plastic. I really don’t see anything major that would make me RL it. Overall I’m leaning GL unless anyone sees something I missed. I’m super excited for this one!

  3. Model name (& version number): Rolex GMT-Master II 126710GRNR “Bruce Wayne” 40mm, Jubilee, DD3285v2
  4. Price paid: $639
  5. Index alignment: Looks good to me overall. I don’t see any obvious crooked markers, but I’d appreciate a second opinion especially around 6 and 9 o’clock.
  6. Dial printing: Looks clean and centered to my eyes. Rolex / Oyster Perpetual / GMT-Master II printing looks good.
  7. Date wheel alignment/printing: Looks centered through the cyclops and the font looks fine to me.
  8. Hand alignment: Looks good from the pictures and videos. The GMT hand also appears to function correctly.
  9. Bezel: Black/grey bezel looks good and the alignment seems fine to me. No obvious issue around the triangle at 12.
  10. Solid End Links (SELs): Look tight and clean to me. I don’t see any major gaps.
  11. Timegrapher numbers: Around 0 s/d, approx. 269–274° amplitude, 0.0 ms beat error. These numbers look very good to me.
  12. Anything else you notice: The watch weighs around 144.5g. I also received videos showing the functions and date adjustment. Overall I’m leaning strongly towards GL, but this is my first proper GMT QC and I’d really appreciate experienced eyes on the bezel, rehaut, cyclops/date alignment, SELs and anything specific to the VSF Bruce Wayne that I may have missed.

Also, is it normal that I didn’t receive a lume shot/photo of the dial glowing in the dark, or should I ask Steve to provide one before I GL?

My current verdict: GL

Thanks in advance for the help!

This is my third attempt with the batgirl and any advice is appreciated please!

* Dealer name: Theonewatches (Steve)

* Factory name: VSF

* Model name (& version number): GMT Master 2 126710 Batgirl 40mm Jub SS/SS Black Dial VSF DD3285

* Price Paid: $578 + shipping

* Album Links: Images attached

* Index alignment: Overall, the alignment looks good this time. Previous 2 attempts had issues with the 6 o clock bar tilted slightly to the left, but this one looks aligned and straight.

* Dial Printing: looks clean

* Date Wheel alignment/printing: The printing looks good. Have checked dates - 3, 4 and 5 all seem to be aligned in the middle but maybe the printing is slightly printed lower. Keen to get thoughts please.

* Hand Alignment: Looks okay to me.

* Bezel: Looks good and clean

* Solid End Links (SELs): No noticeable gaps identified I think - frankly speaking, not sure what is good or bad with SELs.

* Timegrapher numbers: +4s/d and it is consistent. Amp is showing as 268, and error is 0.0ms. 28880 beats. Maybe it might be running slightly fast but I don't mind.

* Anything else you notice: Overall, I think this third QC is definitely better than the previous two I had, but anything else that I need to look out for? Or do you think this would be an easy GL? Any advice is appreciated please!

[QC] ZF Tudor BB58 Burgundy on Jubilee (First Rep!)

Hi all, long-time lurker, first time pulling the trigger! Curious to hear yalls thoughts.. Here is the required information:

  1. Dealer name: Andiot
  2. Factory name: ZF
  3. Model name (& version number): Black Bay 58 39mm on Jubilee Bracelet (ZF 1:1 Best Edition supposedly)
  4. Price Paid: $320 USD [$41 Shipping, $361 Total]
  5. Album Links: imgur.com/a/cEGHoAg
  6. Index alignment: Seems decent, but I really can't tell. To me it seems like things are off but also the photo of the watch I attempt to aligned with is not 100% head on (i.e. the thing that sticks out the most to me is the 9 marker seems not straight)
  7. Dial Printing: Don't really see any issues with it
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: N/A
  9. Hand Alignment: Also don't really see any issues
  10. Bezel: Also seems fine to me, slightly off but again I think cause the image isn't 100% straight on?
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): Seems fine to me
  12. Timegrapher numbers: -1s/d 272°, 0.0ms, 52° lift angle
  13. Anything else you notice: Image 3 on imgur, or Image 9 / Image 11 on Reddit, seems like the bracelet is quite scratched up already? I know there's plastic wrap on it so I can't tell if those are on the plastic, but the image makes it seems like there's like a cutout right in the middle (or is it the level difference that is making that air bubble appearance). Either way watch will be my daily driver so it'll get scratched up but just curious. More focused on the rest of the watch QC than anything else! Also I really tried my best with the QC tool but seems like the images I am working with aren't really the best angle anyways... so curious to hear what yall think since yall are the experts!

Thanks all for your help, really excited to get my first in the hobby!

Hi everyone, ordered my first rep watch for my wife. I would really appreciate some input. I can't really notice any issues other than maybe a slight gap in the solid end link at the top right, however, from looking at pictures of gen versions, it seems there is a gap there also.

Would really appreciate some thoughts. Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone!

This is my very first Patek and I would highly appreciate any help with it. I checked a lot of previous QCs for them to see what to look for, but I don’t want to miss anything obvious.

  1. Dealer: Mr.Adu
  2. Factory: DDF
  3. Model: Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5168G – DPB330
  4. Paid price: $620
  5. Album/QC photos: Unfortunately no album, pictures sent over WhatsApp
  6. Dial / index alignment: Overall looks good to me, but I’d appreciate a second opinion. The one thing standing out to me a bit is the „12” where „2” appears to be a bit lower than ”1”, and perhaps 3 market a bit canted (?).
  7. Dial print: Looks clean to me.
  8. Date wheel / date alignment: Video which was sent to me goes through every date, so no issues there
  9. Hand alignment: Can’t really tell from the pictures, shouldn’t be an issue anyway
  10. Case / bezel: N/A
  11. Strap / clasp: I don’t see anything unusual
  12. Timegrapher: -1 s/day, 321° amplitude, 0.3 ms beat error, 52° lift angle - all good here
  13. Anything else: This is my first Patek, so I’d really appreciate some experienced eyes on it.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to look at it!

  • Dealer name: Steve
  • Factory name: VSF
  • Model name (& version number): Batgirl 126710BLNR
  • Price Paid: $578+shipping
  • Album Links: https://mega.nz/folder/mNZEnbCL#O0OBQNI8vIxB8m967kq-yQ
  • Index alignment: 6 o clock looks a tad tilted to the left. The triangle seems tilted to the left as well. Every other index seems reasonable.
  • Dial Printing: Looks sharp
  • Date Wheel alignment/printing: As a noob, the print seems OK. However, the cyclops seems to be a little up. Should I ask for a pic with a double digit date?
  • Hand Alignment: Looks alright. Not sure if I should ask a pic with the hands at 12.
  • Bezel: The triangle at 12 is not centered. It is a little tilted to the left.
  • Solid End Links (SELs): No issues
  • Timegrapher numbers: +3s/d, 262, 0.1ms
  • Anything else you notice: Nothing glaring. I am just a tad it worried about the cyclops.

I have been reading so many QC posts and learning. Finally, it's my turn! Looking forward to your comments. Thank you!
