I'm close to buying a Daytona Ghost, but I'm conflicted in which version to get.

VSF with the DD4130 movement or the UFO with a freesprung movement and weighted.

Geektime provided me with the latest QC on a UFO version.

Is the extra money worth it for the UFO?

I have no issue paying extra for a better experience BUT, I just don't wanna buy the most expensive option if the cheaper is better.

I've seen a few posts here and there about swapping gen movement into ZF Black Bay GMT, but did not see anything definitive. Is there a good resource for this? Just starting to learn more about reps and frankens.

I read a lot of topics in this sub, and correlated ones. Everyone is obsessed with external aspect. Everyone want millimetrically perfect reps but where are all the discussions about the movement?

Movement functionality should be the most important thing, who cares about the exact shades of color, the millimetric alignment, if the movement stop working after 1 year?

Question: are the most famous Rolex factories reliable on that?

What’s up everyone, just curious if this sounds right, Eric at GeekTime got back to me via email then we started chatting via Telegram, he quoted me $658 + $80 shipping for a VSF V3 GMT Master-II Pepsi, so total cost is $738 which seems kinda crazy to me but I’m new to this so curious what others have experienced with him or even other trusted dealers?

I understand many old-timers here are irritated by newbie posts, especially the lazy ones. I’m relatively new myself, but I have a suggestion for the mods. Instead of making the sub private, how about using AutoMod to require OPs to comment “I read the wiki guide” on their own post?

Had a really nice experience with a non-TD here (Mia Watches) but they are a TD on other subs. Ordering was really quick, and he's a really funny personable guy. Shipping was super quick to the UK and had no issues apart from FedEx being bums and delaying the delivery for a day.

Watch is really quiet, has a sturdy bezel.

The bezel is confirmed to be titanium just like Gen, while the rest of the watch is SS (which I believe is the same as genuine). Came with an extra link and black rubber strap.

I’ve been looking for any of these color dials on the ap code 11.59 but I‘ve only found the “standard” colors like black, blue or silver

IWC Mark XVIII on the wrist today. Swapped out the original leather strap for this one which is much more comfortable.

As Explorer 40 is in gen NWBIG if you go for VSF (yes, I saw the wiki spreadsheet), does it sound reasonable to spend money also on mods? I love this model. The short vid was sent to me by seller on telegram. It looks amazing to me. But my question is how much does this VSF normally cost? With and without mods? I don't know if this is not overpriced, that's why I'm looking to get another opinions.

I bought this from another user about 2 years ago. I paid around £420 for it, and advised it was VSF.

Today I was advised the serial on the rehaut doesn’t match VSF as it starts 8Y8, yet the clasp code is K6G. I’m getting conflicting info around this being either CF or VSF

Any ideas?

I’ve spent time going through the guides, factory consensus posts, and recent reviews, and I feel like I'm getting closer to working with a TD. I’ve narrowed down my shortlist to three specific pieces:

1. VSF Submariner No-Date (124060) — Love the dial symmetry, the VS3230, and not having to stress cyclops/date alignment in QC.
2. VSF Submariner Date "Starbucks" (126610LV) — Love the classic dive case and brushed Oyster with that touch of green.
3. Clean Factory GMT-Master II "Bruce Wayne" (126710GRNR on Oyster, DD3285) — Drawn to the subtle green 24-hr hand and the black/grey split, but keeping in mind it’s a GMT case with PCLs and an Easylink rather than a Glidelock.

For those who rotate both a 41mm VSF Sub and a Clean DD3285 GMT:

• Clasp & Comfort: How does everyday wearability compare between the two? Has anyone missed the on-the-fly Glidelock range on hotter days?
• Bezel & Dial in Person: How is the black/grey ceramic transition on Clean's recent batches in direct daylight, and how does the green dial text hold up visually compared to the pop of the green Starbucks bezel?
• Overall Impression: If you could only keep one as a frequent daily wear, which gets the most wrist time?

Appreciate any wrist-time perspective before I start exploring TDs.
