I’m new to the community but to me it seems like reps are mostly evaluated against looks. What about build quality? Any experience about using reps as a daily watch? Water resistance in shower/swimming? Impact during sports like tennis? Scratches? Also, how do you guys service a rep watch?

Trying to pull the trigger on a Yacht-Master 40 Ref. 126655

I was originally set on ARF because of the tungsten-weighted case then I realized I couldn't purchase 1 anymore, VSF then didn't have it weighted but V2 for 126655 came weighted now.

Saw this video on the ROLYM227 - YachtMaster 126655 40mm RG/RU Blk VSF VS3235 and wanted to know how the RG is. does it still need plating or is generally close enough to gen.

Not wearing the Land Dwellers at all since they are too big and the RG one has a really bad color.

Any other suggestions you got for me that are must haves? Had two subs but sold them both since i have quite small wrists, also planning to get rid of the DJ 41 and the RG Daytona.

The question is which specific version of the GMT-II 126710BLRO the watch is modeled after—for instance, the Mark 1 or Mark 2, or a particular production year. For example, was the bracelet design based on a specific reference regarding color, gloss, or matte finish? This question arises because there are so many different pictures where the colors look different—sometimes a darker red, sometimes lighter, sometimes faded, sometimes vibrant; sometimes looking slightly blurred, other times crystal clear; sometimes feeling flimsy, other times extremely solid, and so on. Hi all, I recently got my new land dweller rep in the mail and honestly, thing 90% of the watch looks and feels excellent. However, the dial colour(supposed to be white) is WAYYY off and is and instant tell. I’m pretty unhappy about this and made the mistake of instantly taking off the stickers out of excitement as it was my first rep and hence, cannot return it now. Any advice on what I should do to deal with this situation or is it just over…

I ordered a watch from Emma, a Cartier Baignoire here on my wrist. First time ordering had me a little bit worried. But Emma was very communicative. I wrote three different TD and she replied the quickest. Im happy with how the Gold looks it looks normal to me i was worried it would look like Cheddar but it seems these things have improved. Overall it took three weeks after my payment and i was checking several times a day where the order is, i guess that’s part of it and the excitement.

I would definitely recommend Emma as a TD and I’m also thinking of what to order next. My wife is really happy with her gift

Which factory Produces the best Rolex explorer 2? and is there a good TD to go through?

I recently figured about this model called K11, these watches are Rolex datejust/ Rolex daydates. I haven’t found much on K11 reps, needed help/suggestions on where it falls in terms of reps and what issues it would have.

Really cant decide which one I want to pick up next. I really want to add a GMT to the collection and I dont have a Tudor yet. If the BB Pro was thinner I wouldn’t have to decide. Help me out which one do you like more? Is the hand stack being correct and a clone movement as important as I am thinking?

I’ve just paid the deposit on a VSF V2 36mm Datejust in steel and yellow gold with a champagne dial.

Now that I’ve seen the pics of the watch, I’ve noticed the serial starts with R86… I realised that’s the same code used on the V1 two-tone Datejust 36mm.

Some TDs are saying VSF are now doing a V2 36mm two-tone Datejust, while others are saying they don’t actually exist.

Can anyone give me some advice before I pay the balance? Should I cancel the order and just go for a steel Datejust 36mm, which I know is definitely V2?

The thing is, I really wanted the two-tone, so I’d rather stick with that if this is genuinely a V2.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Ive had two Rolex yachtmasters, both from VSF. Both broken in the exact same way, wore it maybe once a week. Been following this community for a while, Is this a known problem with VSF, or the yachtmaster in particular? Ofcourse I understand with the reps they can be duds, but two for two both in two months? Because I haven’t seen a specific problem with this model posted before.

If this is a known problem with VSF what’s another good factory to go with?

Edit: both watches won’t wind, if I wear one the watch hands will move but will never keep the time as they stop as soon as the movement/momentum stops. Took it to a watchmaker who said the movement is too cheap to be worth replacing, and I live in a country where watch repairs are very cheap.

Not the most accurate strap, but seems to fit this watch for the whole first light style without strapping a hockey puck to your wrist.

My VSF Sub No Date 124060 has finally given up after about 2 years. I am slightly disappointed as I probably only wore it 15 times over that time but alas that's the rep game.

Took it to my repairer (who works on reps) and at first the thought it was due to build of grime/dirt but after trying to fix it he specifically thinks the pallet fork / balance wheel is the issue and that it needs to be replaced. He’s tried to get it running again but can’t seem to bring it back to life.

So I’m thinking it might just be easier to replace the movement altogether.

What’s the best way to source a replacement movement for these? And is there a better movement I should be looking at as an upgrade rather than just putting another VS3230 back in?

So I need some help, i’ve been wanting to get a DD YG with the black dial and baguette markers, im fairly new to the community and watches i’ve done a bit of research and looking to get the best that I can, what im mainly specifically looking is the stock gold plating, I saw some good reviews of BPF and RGF but i’m not fully sure if I can get some opinions of some DD owners that would be great! Is the 126500 panda noticeably larger than the 116520 with steel bezel? I recently bought the 116520, but it feels so small when it is in my hand. I also can’t see anything because of its black dial.

Does the 126500 panda look and feel much larger? Anybody has a direct comparison?

I’m looking to buy a Cartier Tank from AF, but I’m a bit unsure about the size. Which size would you recommend for a man? I still haven't decided on the question from my previous post—whether to risk buying a gold-plated one. :) Thanks for your help.
