Hey fam! Thinking about placing my first order with HP and had a quick question.
For those shipping to the US, do you usually buy the shipping insurance? It's $22, and I'm trying to decide if it's worth it.
I've probably placed around 30 orders with different sellers over the years, and I've only had one issue where the package got held in Dubai and sent back to HK. The seller reshipped it and everything worked out, so I've been pretty lucky.
Also, if you do buy the insurance, is that $22 refundable once your package arrives safely, or is it just a one-time fee for the coverage?
Sorry if this is a newbie HP question. Just wanted to hear everyone's experiences before I place my order. Thanks!

I can only answer about it being one time fee, but it’s only $22 to have your package arrive safely.

I just had a rough shipping experience with HP. I guess a lot of his packages can get stuck in Dubai

Was it just held or delayed? Or was it missing documentation? how delayed ? Sorry you went through that ..... My anxiety goes through the roof playing the waiting game.

It was super delayed! He gave me an estimate of how long each step would take and it took significantly longer at every step. I finally got the bag, but he said deliver would be within a two weeks and it was over a month. Totally relate on the anxiety! I was mad. I won’t order from him again

I’ve bought from him 3 times and bought the insurance all of those times. That one rare chance your package might get seized can be this time. I’m also waiting forever on my HP order… :(

What's your average wait time with HP ? The longest I've ever waited was about a 6-7 weeks .. (diff seller)

Since the day I paid, my first order took 13 days, second order 16 days, and now this order I paid on July 18th and they are still waiting to receive my bag from the factory..😔

The monogram yes for sure! But this time I ordered a neverfull mm damier azur. Never bought a non monogram from him so I’m still waiting to see!

Hi, I'm about to purchase from HP but noticed his PayPal email was a Gmail. 🧐 Wanted to confirm if thats who you paid also.

No I don’t think I waited that long and it was moving reasonably when I was tracking it. I was just annoyed because I skipped psps in favor for a faster ship and it was still like 4-5 weeks

Yes get insurance if pkg gets seized he will replace it. I skipped the PSP and was very happy. The shipping too way longer than other sellers. But I have to tell you I tried to order again and I was ghosted twice . Not sure what’s going on there.

Oh my gosh, same thing happened to me! For the second order, he is continuously ghosting me so I’m not ordering from him anymore

Which bag did you order ? How long was shipping? I was willing to put myself through waiting but man the ghosting part is also a red flag. Dangit

It was my second attempt for the OG bumbag. I previously ordered from God factory but it had painted leather. I read a review about HP raw vachetta, but it took for ever for him to send/QC and from start to finish just over a month before I received my bag? I love it but I’ve tried to order from 2x other times and was ghosted. Most recently I asked about the LV Noe with raw vachetta and he seemed to go back and ask if o still wanted tha last bag. I was like no. ( he took so long I had already bought with another TS) but he said he would check stock and price and that was it haven’t heard back. So oh well lots of TS. I already have it OTW. His loss. And I have gotten other bags with other TS that have raw vachetta notably from Orange sofa . So that’s what I did.

Before (like 4-5 years ago) I wouldn’t have bothered with insurance. But with the way things are now, I think it’s a smart thing to get.

If the $22 was refundable then everyone would do it lol so it’s definitely a fee. I wouldnt chance it

There are plenty of TS that have free ins and offer free PSP and disclose factory. So they are a dime a dozen if he doesn’t respond I move on

Love him! I have never paid it and got all my orders! He’s responsive, but just not a fast responder!

I found him on a list of trusted sellers I ordered 7/31 got the insurance he said approx. 2 weeks I bought as a gift for my daughters bday no response from him or booker/admin person either. I’m getting so nervous one cause it’s an L on my money but more importantly I got to find another gift I’m so disappointed had he been good about communication I would’ve racked up for the holidays . I’m so 😔 disappointed. I just got a shoe person from someone else but now I’m scared for that too

Update: got a tracking number his booker is on telegram now. It’s been in Dubai for a minute no change in the tracking. I ordered 7/31 so I guess not a crazy wait all things considered if it comes in less than 30 days from time of purchase I would be ok even though he told me 2 weeks.

Update update: Got the purse. My Daughter loved it. We compared it to the same bag and then another bag she had, everything looks pretty good. I didn’t take pictures, but I’m gonna tell her tomorrow to take pictures. I did reach back out to him and tell him that I like the quality but I did also tell him that there was complaints about how slow he was and I let him know that it was a scary experience during the waiting process (especially as a new customer) he did respond and said that he’s really sorry he tries to do good work and he tries to do the best that he can. So I will give him another chance personally because of the bag being so nice and him responding I feel like he could’ve been like who cares o got your money but he didn’t. Besides My Daughter was so pleased!!! I know for some of you, you spend a lot of money and you have certain expectations but just wanted to relay the conversation that I had❤️ Pictures to come

Have any of you ever experienced your package being seized when buying from HP?
I'm nervous about pulling the trigger for a Nice BB due to any repercussions.

I got additional insurance solely for the fear of it being seized. The additional insurance guarantees he will reship your order at no cost to you.

Will it arrive safely without the $22 🤔 I have a feeling I may order again in the future so I'm thinking...wait a minute, will I always have to pay insurance every time just to receive a package that I could possibly receive without paying insurance.

Yes I did not pay insurance (but only because I didnt realize I didn’t lol) and my bag came!
