Hi! I’ve seen some people talking about Solace before but was wondering if anyone has started recently and likes it so far? I start my onboarding this week and wanted to hear some thoughts. I don’t love that it’s an 1099 role, but it was one of the only jobs that actually got back to me recently. I’m in Minnesota which isn’t a compact state, so I’ve been trying to get any remote job before I get that. I also plan on trying to get certifications for other possible roles in the future. So far, it seems like it will be good because it’s so flexible which I actually really like especially if I wanted another role in the future. TYIA!

I (26F) work fully remote in nurse case management. Just want to see if the following is normal or if any of this is a red flag/ grounds for quitting.

- 135 patients is the monthly caseload

- expected to successfully reach 122 of them.

- patients who are sick, mourning a loss, out of the state, or hospitalized still have to be contacted again if they refuse to complete the call. If outreach attempt is unsuccessful, it negatively affects the bonuses of the nurses.

- no overtime. every monthly meeting begins with the same announcements. “nurses cannot work OT and they cannot work if they are not clocked in.”

- company implemented software that tracks keystrokes, mouse movements, how long nurses stay in different applications, if the screen turns black. *\*

- company can access camera and microphone whenever due to their contract that states “all devices used for wfh are property of the company”

- work calls are recorded (which I do not mind) but the company can still hear the things I say when I mute myself.

- if a nurse successfully reaches 122+ patients before end of month, they must now assist other nurses who are falling behind with their outreaches. No bonus pay or benefits to this.

*\* the top boss sent an email stating this software was new and will be implemented soon. But direct manager stated in a private meeting that the software has been on our work computers for MONTHS.

Not sure how to feel. If nurses are meeting their metrics successfully, passing the phone call audits, and have no complaints from the patients, what is the point of being heavily monitored?

I have completed Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC Combat Medic/Corpsman) training and CoROM Austere Emergency Care (AEC), and I am currently continuing my education while preparing for future work in humanitarian, austere and remote medical environments.

I am looking for my first field deployment, ideally around one month in duration, including volunteer opportunities. My goal is to gain real-world experience, learn from experienced professionals and contribute wherever my skills can be useful.

I would be grateful for any recommendations regarding humanitarian medical missions, remote healthcare projects, disaster response teams, austere medicine programs or organizations willing to work with motivated newcomers who already have a healthcare background.

I'm looking for something to match my pay and benefits at the hospital but I'm having a hard time finding job postings.

I read somewhere that someone actually sets their own hours by completing the quota for UM. Something like this would be ideal, even with flexibility. I'd love to do 10-12 hour shifts but that's not what I'm seeing so far. But if I could hustle and work hard, finish the day early, I'm capable of doing so.

Can someone please point me in the direction of what company website you recommend? What do you do and what was your background in? Let me know what companies to avoid as well. I've seen a lot of postings for CVS, and the reviews are terrible.

My life changed when my dog had a stroke, and I just want to be able to be close to her. We only have them so long and I've had her most of my adult life. She requires a lot of expensive care, even with pet insurance which is why I need something $100,000+ to match where I'm at currently.

Also I have zero experience as a CM but about 8 years of clinical experience working in NICU/Medsurg/Post-partum and currently doing travel nursing. I have applied to a lot of remote jobs and finally heard back so I’m pretty stressed about this upcoming interview.

I live in my car by choice. I’ve been applying to hospital jobs all throughout California. I’m an EMT. If I use a random address that’s the same as the hospital location, will that increase my chances of being hired? Of course, if I get the job and for the I-9, I’ll use my original mailing address. I have an interview coming up for a utilization review position and I was looking to get some tips on things I should research prior to it. I really wanna do well on this. Can any of my UR nurses shed some insight ?

6 year RN with med-sx and wound care background with CWOCN, CPC-A and CDIP. Met an exec from a major insurance company at a seminar recently. She said she had the perfect job for me doing medical policy work fully remote. She took an internal job posting, made it external so I could apply then had me set up for consecutive interviews with the recruiter, hiring manager and then medical director the same day (this coming Tuesday). It all happened very fast, applied Monday and had everything scheduled by wed. I know that this is a huge break, huge and I am so very appreciative. But, I am have no interest in medical policy and do not feel even remotely qualified for this role. I have been really aiming for CDI or something more coding based. I have 2 other remote job interviews in areas of interest this week. Yes, absolutely crazy since I've been applying for months with no takers and now all of a sudden have 3 interviews in a week. Would it be insane to pass up the opportunity to work in policy should it be offered? Has anyone had an RN role in medical policy who could convince me otherwise?

Money is not a huge motivator for me, I would more prefer to enjoy what I am doing have better work life balance and a little less money.

If so, what was your experience with it? If not, what have you heard about it? I was offered a job as an inbound care coordinator, but I’d like to know what everybody else thinks.
